"On issue after issue, the choice between Labour and the Conservative seems nonexistent. Education? Well, we're probably going to do something involving some kind of partnership between the government and private schools. Health care? Well, we're probably going to try some reorganization of the NHS, which isn't going to be a real reorganization anyway because employees have too much clout. Welfare? Count on us to tinker around the edges. Foreign policy? Yep, we're still the 51st state. Defense? Eh."

I agree with two UKIP policies:
1. We need a referendum.
2. We need controlled immigration.
Unfortunately, some of UKIP's politicians being racist have now led to the whole idea of wanting to put a cap on immigration as being "racist" and apparently, according to some, we should have no cap and let the whole world into this country. So come on over Americans, Chinese and Russians! Come one, come all! Apparently England discovered the console command code for infinite resources while God wasn't looking...
Conservatives at least will now offer a referendum and try to put a cap on immigration. Labour was content to let the entirety of Europe into the UK.

Gerrymandering: because someone thought letting politicians choose who gets to vote for them was a great idea.
But at least in this case it did some good. No more Nigel Farage.

I'd rather have Farage than bloody Ed Miliband. At least the former was human and spot on about immigration.

The Milliband is only half insect. The other half is almost all human.

I'm not a Ukip fan. I don't even live in the UK.
But this result is not democratic. The system is flawed.

I'm not a fan of any of the parties. Whilst some may have one or two good individual policies, the parties as a whole are all out of touch with a host of issues.
Which is why I #didn'tvote and haters can suck it hard.

Ole Ed's at least entertaining with his funny voice and awkward persona. Farage just complain and complain, and his face is sooo punchable.

Nah man, Farage is the entertaining one and the fact that he's always in the pub getting drunk is even funnier that boring old socialist Ed, the millionaire who is apparently meant to represent the working people? lol
UK politics is all a right good old laugh actually.
I was actually laughing throughout the whole of the coverage. Maybe UK politicians should take up comedy instead of politics since they are so **** at the later but so good at making people laugh.

And this actually happened. SNP destroyed Labour in Scotland. Kotaku's little WWE match was right there.

2. We need controlled immigration.
Are you a reactionary, misogynist, racist homophone?
Immigration exists so you can innovate your society by your new immigrant brethren's culture. Soon the Islamic States of United Kingdom (ISUK) will be created. Only bigots are against immigration.

The UK had its elections.
I assumed it went well then. An old country with centuries of tradition under it's belt should be able to handle things in a decent manner.
O joyous day.

Can you even call this an election? If you're a Labor, Liberal Democrat, or UKIP party member it was a goddamn slaughter.

I am not a fan of UKIP.
However even I think that isn't right.
Maybe we'll get proportional representation now?

I always liked the political threads. ![]()
Vote for me and political threads/tangential political threads won't be locked down.
I also promise not to rely on sound bites like "hard working people", "Broken Britain" and "Better and Fairer Society" replacing them with more meaningful and substantive rhetoric.
