Playing on PS4.
Just tried a bunch of times earlier today, doesn't work and playing on my Nightmare playthrough. It's a bit frustrating to be in the middle of a fight and not being able to select which character you want to revive with that spell. Same as the barrier spell which is an AoE and could simply be activated in one click to raise the barriers of every characters. If it can't be done on SP and MP, I think it would be good to have an alternative spell to do that, like the Virtuoso's specialization which allows to cast barriers around him just by playing his instrument.

Seems odd that it would be only a game difficulty issue? My guess is that it is one of the more random events in the control module where the function (spell) is delayed or ignored for some reason, say a pointer error.

It's not only on Nightmare, I'm just saying I'm currently playing on NM.

Agreed, and it is a cross platform issue as PC and PS4 see it, it's not new though. There have been enough errors to build a system map on instabilities alone, but com errors impacting controls don't get as much service. For whatever reason, the control module failed to assign pointers properly to activate the function call (revive in this case) and it happens often and to any spell or action.
That sluggish behavior hit me in skyhold it took about 2 minutes to walk up the steps almost like the dream sequence in Me3 - I was sure it would crash, but it didn't -probably not the case in every occurrence, as my system can sink in excess of a kilowatt. Maybe that is a market angle -"turn you PC into a room heater and play DAI nice and toasty" ![]()
