I retired at age 46 so it wasnt that hard to keep it going 
playing MP whenever I want, booty calls at any time of day or night

It's not that hard to work around that. You start Origin in offline mode (real offline mode, not just being invisible) and start ME3, then you click multiplayer. It will tell you you need to be online. Alt-tab, go online, then click multiplayer again. Voilà 
Semi-retired, dont play as much as I use to but still like to get on from time to time to play some of my favorite kits.
I have been mulling over Retiring (quitting) every week..but I play other stuff and feel like a match or 2 every here and there..I play maybe 10 matches every 7 days. I have gone back to my original way of playing (Single player campaigns) I have bought/ Downloaded 45 games in the past 5 weeks....Sooo many games I let slip thru because of me constantly playing this one. Just finished up the Arkham series...I am into Bioshock 2...Crysis 2..finishing Dead Space 3..Devil May Cry HD collection....Alien Isolation god damn the xenomorph, hours and hours to get thru 1 section..Aliens:Colonial Marines..it's fun but was over hyped into extinction..Rage is fun..Im back playing NBA2K15 after months of not..F Dark Souls..F that game...I have ZERO patience for it...Deus Ex..started that this past monday??..How did I miss that game when it came out? Alpha Protocol should have been named Blackwater Simulator...Dishonored..bought it when it came out..I played for 3 hours then shelved it..started it up 2 days ago..It is fun

Seeing this with the start of the Hotel California tune playing was funny. 
.F Dark Souls..F that game...I have ZERO patience for it...
Remember, it took me 35 hours into Demon Souls until I got super hooked. Before that I was just like you. But now that series is like one of the best I've experienced this century. So just keep trying it every now and then until you too see the light too. Patience has nothing to do with it. Game grabs anyone who puts in enough time. And putting enough time reveals it's really quite an easy enough game. Just like ME3mp. Trust me. If you want some help, tell me the console you on (got entire series for both PS3 & 360), and I'll help your scrubby butt to victory and beyond! ... Oh wait, I haven't retired ME3mp yet... "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
Did my first game in a couple months last night. Burned a reset and went back to my old 6/4/6/4/6 Paladin build. U/U/P'd into a GIP. Reapers, Reactor Hazard. Definitely rusty (Bit drunk on scottish beer too) but I managed to get told twice or thrice to stop locking people in the reactor.
Good times.
But I think I'm going back to D3 for a bit. At least it's something me and the girlfriend can play together. >.<
Would be nice to have a gaming girlfriend, but mine is not that type of girl, at all. She does enjoy seeing me blowing up millions of Husks, because it reminds her of The Walking DeadDid my first game in a couple months last night. She loves that show. So, I'm afraid it's all Husk modes for me until ME4.
