I like movie soundtracks a lot, if that counts. My favorite all time is probably Hans Zimmer's score for The Thin Red Line. "Journey to the Line" crops up in movie trailers every so often, and I'm pretty sure that there are a few other OST's that directly ripped it off.

 

 

Another one I like a lot is Shane Carruth's soundtrack for Upstream Color. In addition to composing the score, Carruth wrote, directed, and starred in the film. Not quite sure how I feel about the film itself, but the music is pretty great.

Hell yes, it counts. The fact that Zimmer is used as a template for dramatic pieces, especially in trailers is a huge testament to his prowess

Drive did have a killer soundtrack. Movie wasn't too bad either. Or maybe it was, I don't know. My dream job would be bein' some badass wheelman. Whatever, though.

EP. 1 may not have been the worst film, but the soundtrack was awesome. Duel of Fates is my favorite track out of all the films.

Drive is an excellent film -- One of Refn's best alongside Bronson, Only God Forgives was okay.

Its rare to find albums where each song is just fantastic! These six (and im sure more will come to me) I can listen to all day (Last two are OSI - Blood and Pearl Jam - Ten as the album names arn't on the cover)

These albums were awesome in that showed the band's unique take on a rap/rock hybrid sound. I just wish that they could go back, not necessarily lyrically, but musically to the way these albums were produced and created.
