Not this romance this and that again. Harding is cool but DA is a game about killing monsters and not a dating sim. As far as I know, the devs throw in a romance part as a "side-dish" for the players and it doesn't affect the main storyline at all.

Harding's not just a random NPC, though. She had series of romantic interactions with the Inquisitor that indicates that it's going to lead to something, but doesn't quite follow up.

Either the game still needs patching up or the devs intended it that way - harmless flirting that leads to nowhere. Did BW say anything about this?

I don't think it's a bug that needs to be patched, I think it's a bad design choice that it leads nowhere. She says the two of you will talk after you defeat Corypheus, but you don't. There's an actual dialogue choice where she asks specifically you if it's harmless flirting or if you are interested in her. If you say you are interested in her she seems interested in you too. It's basically the difference between her being Aveline and being Kelly. She says you should spent time together. In future content it should be explored further.

Even if shea race gated to only dwarves or humans, i still wouldn't care.

I don't think it's a bug that needs to be patched, I think it's a bad design choice that it leads nowhere.

Of all the DA games I've played so far, the devs left a lot of loose ends without clearing them up, leaving them purely to our imaginations or answering them at game expos. I've already seen it coming and learn not to get my hopes up. Given all that has happened, do you truly expect things like this won't happen again? BW has a lot on their plate. Chances of fixing this Harding romance are slim. Nonetheless, I look forward to hearing what the devs have to say about this.

It would be nice if one of the devs actually answered with a straight...yes, she will be in our next game..or, no, she won't be seen again.

 

But i hope we do. It was a pleasure to talk to her at the beginning of new regions.

I actually hope there will be a patch or a DLC to get her as a romance option in inquisition...because I don't want to wait until the next game comes out. :-/

If she was a romance in Inquisition, fans of her wouldn't feel the need to request she could be one in the next one.

I just completed Jaws of Hakon. I can't believe they expanded her character role so much but didn't give us any more flirt options despite having the perfect opportunity to do so.

Romance or no, I would really love to see her return in DA4. Maybe even as a companion. The world needs more badass lady dwarves tbh.
