I hope not. They already turned Hawke into a person that doesn't resemble my Hawke at all, and the Warden would be even harder since they were a silent protagonist and can be dead.

The War Table mission with the letter is probably all we'll see with the Warden. Sorry.

At the OP -- This.. and someone did say that the HoF had too many variables plus no voice. Sorry I just don't see that working out too well. Plus they kind of forced a ME like decision in this game where you had to kill off at least one person from your 'past' with Hawke or Warden X..

The Warden is far too variable in comparison to Hawke to show up in a future story. Even then Hawke had his/her problems of portrayal in Inquisition, and a lot of people were not happy with how their imported Hawke varied from their actual Hawke. The Inquisitor and the Warden will likely only appear in the background in future titles.

Also, there's that awkward bit where the Warden doesn't even have a voice. And if you distrusted Morrigan, he/she is probably dead.

adding that one in to my post.

Bringing the warden into DA:I would add a ton of work. The game itself doesn't even support the Warden in any way. Dual-wielding warriors is out, as are all the weapon combinations and the armours being available for every class. Not to mention the specs the Warden had. Or the spells he had. Fireballs, healing spells, the works. If the warden showed up in DA:I, given the simplified character design, it would not be the warden you had in DA:O at all. Not by a long shot.

Well, I don't find this any more of an issue than with Hawke. The Warden would simply wear Warden Commander armour, like Hawke always have the Armour of the Champion. No one seemed to mind that. As for weapons, my Hawke kept alternating between a bow and daggers, even though she never touched a bow in DA2 (same applies for warriors and is even weirder alternating between S&S and 2H). I don't see how the Warden possibly not dual wielding as a warrior would be any different.

Well, I see three possibilities there.

1. Nothing's gonna happen. The Warden's looking for something that doesn't exist, and it's just a way to get rid of the Warden.
2. It's a DLC hook. The Warden's going to discover something that the Inquisitor will handle. The Warden will almost certainly be killed off for real in the course of this.
3. It's a sequel hook. As above, but with a new PC.

The more important this turns out to be, the more likely 3 becomes. But I'm betting 1, because I'm not at all sure that Bio wants anything to come of this.

Yes, those seem to be the likely options now, but I don't really understand why they needed to make this situation. People will be pissed if they kill the Warden no matter what, and it would be bizarre to leave that plot-line untouched. They could have simply not disclosed what the HoF was doing, and still had the Calling plot for DLC with no problem.

The warden is not mandatory anymore, if you want someone to blame, look for Riordan, ops he is dead.

This thread was burried long ago.. I doubt anyone in Bioware will care about anything in this thread shown by the lack of interest. No need for a necro.

I'd really like to see my warden. It would be nice to make a DLC where we could find him and help him find a solution to The Calling. He/she is very important in history. (S)He stopped the Blight !
There are probably people who don't want it. Well they simply do not buy the DLC. For my part, I will give 1000 Euro if I could.
Please Bioware ! Make this DLC ! Please !
There is no reason we can not meet our warden. This will make lots of people happy.

P.S. And frankly, they just have to put any voice! What do we care! And character well ... people change in 10 years. Frankly no matter what he will say, I am delighted to see him !

That doesn't matter. Important is to see our Warden.

10 years after, people change. And the voice... There are more important than that !

Looking something that does not exist ? Fiona has escaped death . It is even possible to reverse the process of a tranquil mage . So why not find a cure for the Blight ?

In universe? We don't enough to know if it's possible. There might be a way, there might not be a way.

Out of universe? Quite a few reasons why it won't work. Examples: Because Bio doesn't want there to be one. Because the next game is going to be about that, and someone else will be handling it. Because they're saving that plot for the very last DA game, whenever that will be.

I wouldn't mind a little bit more information from Leliana considering that she is my main LI.

I loved how in DAI they brought back Hawke to help your charater for a certain part of the game; as well as the option to customize Hawke to fit your preferences, diplomatic, sarcastic, aggressive personality etc. I'm wondering if they will do something similar with "The Hero of Ferelden" or the "Orlesian Warden" depending on events during Origins. Personally I always keep my Warden alive cause I can't stand the idea of losing him, considering all the time and effort I put into him and his story. But as I was playing the part of the game that Hawke assists you and wondered if "The Warden" would get similar treatment. I would want to customize my Warden, have him help out the Inquistion for certain quests, do banter with you and your companions and reunite with their love interest. For example: My Warden arrives in Skyhold, sees Leliana across the courtyard, she sees him and they both run towards each other and lovingly embrace, but that's just me. I feel it add more depth and progress to the game. I'm a little scared that they won't do anything with "The Warden" or they might decide to kill him/her off, I didn't make my warden so that he would die later on. I feel that other players should have the ability to see their Warden again know that their alright.

I sincerely hope the people at Bioware see this post and address it.

I have to agree and desagree with you...

First, see the my Warden again could be awesome, really, after 10 years he could be older and more experienced than ever,he really could help the Inquisition...My Warden would never stands idle when a ancient Darkspawn treat the entire world...

But i desagree with Hawke cameo...It was very quick and pointless if I do say so myself...Hawke should get involved with Mage/Templar business, not in Warden business...And my Hawke also would not stand by and left a ancient mad margister who he failed to stop at loose, only to travel and tell the Wardens what was happening...I'm sure the Inquisition has plenty of menssagers to do so...And the point where you'll need to choose if Hawke dies...Well,it's ot hard...Between your character and Beardo Stroud...Easy for me...But Hawke and Alistair...I can't even think about it!
