You know why I like you not-Brevnau? You can always manage to bring out the full gifs in force. People who are ordinarily 'civilized' in discussions suddenly engage their "Must-find-gifs" (myself included) and look for 'the best' items.. Then comes the serious discussion between a select few about 'looks' and what is 'appropriate'.
Keep at it Not-brevnau.. Keep at it, activity on the forum just isn't the same without ya.
Please someone tell me, I really want to play Dragon Age Inquisition but only if I can change cass's face.
If you're incapable of playing a game just because a female character doesn't have a pointya** chin then you got bigger issues to concern you son
But I really want to understand your perspective. What do you think of Leliana in this picture? From Dragon Age Origins Trailer:
*snip*
If you compare this to how Leliana looks in DAI, then I agree with you that there was a downgrade. The above concept of Leliana is excellent, she should technically look older by now in DAI, but with the above concept, I think she'd look as you'd want her to no? Then again the above polycount must be super high, especially judging by the fingers.
Leliana never actually looked like that.
That version was based on a model they used for the CGI trailer. They also used a model for CGI Morrigan in the same trailer. Both characters had a completely different appearance in DA:O, which was not based on either of those models.
(In game Sten is also very different from CGI trailer Sten)
DA:O Leliana was much better in my opinion. She looks like a woman, instead of a 17 year old.

Ugh... Not this again.
But why not? Nothing else is happening on these forums. Plus there are some good discussions that spawn from this.

And after chapter 3 of Skull Shapes being indicative of sexual assignment, we will take a brief 3 minute break before the examination on what Cassandra qualifies as
Kappa is trademarked by Twitch.tv right?
Found this in a gamespot post. It's an animated gif that that quite frankly has me baffled. I knew there was something off about her, but now I see why. I'm still a fan of her, but I'd prefer Bioware go back to how they modeled females in previous titles, for example like in the Mass Effect series.
I like how the the "female" version of this female's got earrings. In case people don't get it. (don't get that this a female skull. of a female character. with "female" written under it)

Cass is a lovely woman. She's got a killer body, and a great personality once you get to see beyond her tough shell. If you are truly to be taken seriously, not playing a game because she has a nicely defined jaw that expresses her strength as a warrior, yet maintains her other feminine qualities, then you are a very shallow human obsessing over a toon. However since it's such a silly thought and you seem to be quite famous on here, I take it you are a troll who loves to make us laugh, and for that I thank you for the smiles.
In all seriousness if it does bother you, I'm sorry it ruins your enjoyment of the game. You're missing out on a lot, and if you really like Cass that much, you'll like her despite her "flaw" and enjoy her romance because she's great in more than looks. Give it a try.

You mean like Miranda Lawson whose jaw does not fit your definition of femininity and therefore would be considered a man in your opinion?

If the links do not work then type in "Miranda Lawson Mass Effect" and see the results.

I did not catch the earrings :/
Wasn't phrenology debunked about a century ago?
we're re continuing the science just for Cassandra apparently

Some people are afraid of change.

I also noticed that Bio can't seem to keep a character's face the same from DA:O --> DA2 --> DAI. Bio's marketing cinematics also have differences and the DLCs as well.
Cass does look mannish. Perhaps to make the Dorian character more appealing. Who knows? The argument going around seems to centre on the fact that the timeline is 10 years after the "Kirkwall incident" from DA2. Cass is older, developed a Command personality and basically a no nonsene military officer. The face scar is due to her battles between DA2 and the now. In essence, she "grew up". I'm unsure why there was a need to think in this rational way, about Cass or Leliana, since Thedas is a fantasy world.
However, the author(s) of the IP do have the right to convey their mental view of each character(s) as they developed during the past 10 years. BTW, David Gaider at Bio did mention that the writers, authors and the artists would come together in the "writers" pit to discuss the artists' interpretation of these protagonists and would come to an agreement about the "looks".
Be as it may, regarding face design decisions, it is best that you resign yourself to that classic Amorphism, "sh*t happens".

Wait... Ohh, this explains it: Ganalysis has x-ray vision!
Think about it; Ganalysis is asking for Cassandra's skull shape to be altered because he legitimately cannot see actual faces so he has to judge by their skulls instead which is also why he is unable to recognise different facial shapes and does not know they exist!
Why did you not just say so, Ganalysis? There's no need to be ashamed of a medical condition. : D

I think UNESCO, after WWII denounced this pseudo science. It certainly was misused by the Nazis.
