[...]1000 to 2000 [...]hours [100-200 or less]) [...]

200 to 300 hours is already a large amount of time for most players, you  can't decently lock new content behind a grind this long. DAIMP shouldn't become a korean MMO where everything new and fun requires you to spend week or month of mindless grinding. I  also don't think anyone sane has put around 2000 hours in the game already.

The hardest diehards do not spend money on platinum, and are thus of no real business concern to Bioware.

That being said, St. Luke may or may not be looking into such a gamemode. He is very  about it in other threads.

...and people wait for another 6-month for new content?

Since it's still rng, there is no incentive to purchase platinum if the results are the same...

Okay, seriously now. It's just there because it's a multiplayer and maybe EA has a general principle and what not? You can afford a large chest in 2 matches, which is about 30 minutes if you're playing relaxed. Who really purchases Platinum?

I refuse to believe it's enough to even take the revenue into serious consideration for anything, let alone worth the flack you're getting by default for having it at all.

This is why I am worried about starting to see cards in mat form.... Will they be added to chests in order for people to buy platinum to craft dragon calls and new character armour sets.

EA is looking for them whales.

Ok I love the fact that there's no cap.. and lets be logical with a cap in place you hit it then why even play any more, also what point would a leader board have at all, I mean it has little point now but some point is better then no point.

edit: Besides dont we deserve something for us the "Elite" players who poured our heart and soul into this game ?

Some people like myself play for enjoyment, I dont even promote hardly ever because its counter-intuitive to me having fun, yes I suffer for that but id rather just enjoy the game than being forced into something thats compeltely boring and grindy.

Maybe you are a player who wrongly gets obsessed with numbers, like achievements/trophy addicts. If the game would no longer be worth playing for you if you could no longer promote then I dont know what to say....

And stop speaking of deserving, you deserve nothing. You should be glad you got 200-300 or whatever hours out of a game that you must have enjoyed playing so far.

It must work, though. Me3 back in the day, you'd see posts with people saying, "I've bought $50 worth of chests". RNG and platinum is the price we pay for free multiplayer DLC, and one I'm happy to pay. Since I'm not paying :D

- Create a mode equal to preilous where promotions don't matter. (Which would give everyone the same level of difficulty)

Not thinking he'd like that very much. I remember the frantic, ALL CAPS screaming rage post he made when the DLC dropped and people suffered a temporary loss of promotions. They seem very precious to him.

Yeah, but see, there's a mighty big difference in the RNG store here and the RNG store of ME3MP. I totally spent some bucks here and there to purchase packs back when I was still leveling up my weapons because I KNEW I was guaranteed to get an upgrade to something. Take my Claymore V to a Claymore VI, for example. Maybe not specifically with one pack purchase, but eventually my guns would level up to 10. Now, after you'd maxed out all your common, uncommon, and rare stuff and had nothing left but elusive ultra-rares to collect, at that point throwing money at the store was a waste, IMO. Much like this current set-up for DAIMP.

Here, there is none of that progression. I could throw money at the store and be rewarded with a Sulevin Blade or - faaaaaaaaaar more likely - a highland dirk and a hoarfrost staff. I gave them $50 in platinum on the first day to be supportive of DAIMP like I had been of ME3MP. Take a wild guess if I have spent one penny more on this system since then.

On a side note, I would seriously pay money for a pack that guaranteed regen potions. Those things literally just do not drop for me. It's beyond ridiculous.

I would agree on the chests. ME3MP had many diverse chest options.

Where's the DAIMP version of the Premium Spectre pack? :)

Ha! me too! This and healing mist -- everything else is in the max zone -- but these two . . . and, for the record, I use straight healing potions at the fastest rate with healing mist and regen being used far more rarely -- so consumption rate is not the issue since straight up healing is maxed.

I too want guaranteed, or at least more directed, mixed potions. Resist vs Healing vs grenade type at the very least.

Just a reminder you can purchase mixed potions and get those regen/other you want, it just takes a while.

In this case Jumbo Equipment Pack.

Medallian, others have already suggested it, but I'll add to their voices. Why not try using lesser gear? Some of the lower level rares and uniques have nice enchantments on them, it would make things more varied and it would up the difficulty until BW releases the new difficulty for you leaderboard types.

I don't think capping stats will be for everyone, but given the huge spread of promotion stats, I suspect it will be hard to balance the new difficulty.

Enemies would move faster and attack faster. Maybe all basic mooks should have 3×hp, elites 2×hp, bosses 1.5×hp, archers would do triple damage, melee mooks 4-5×damage, enemies would get barrier and guard busting abilities, and lieutenant type enemies would get aoe buffs eg to attack speed. AI would be upgraded so archers would use cover, and gain leaping shot as well. Melee mooks would split up to try and flank you, or hit your back ranks. Shield guys would hang back to protect their archers. Spawns would refuse to fall for obvious LoS pulls, forcing you to attack them.

Oh, and more enemies generally.10 despair demons and 10 terrors simultaneously (ie all spawned together) in zone 4 of the castle. At least 5 venatori spellbinders per spawn.

Enemy units need more abilities. Stealth units get hidden blades. Enemy mages get pota, chain lightning, static cage fire wall, ice wall, Winter's Grasp, horror, immolate... Red templar horrors and knights get an aoe lyrium bomb attack the works like walking bomb with dot and then an aoe explosion with knock down. Pride demons get druffalo charge. Fear demons get proper stealth and damage buff, and horror. Enemy archers get a proper longshot with upgrade so they can hit your entire team round that corner you're trying to do a los pull.

Give enemies the ability to use combos, eg put you to sleep and then proc a nightmare combo, for example. Imagine if you're all grouped around a Zither, who gets paralysed and then they proc a discharge!

Dragon too easy? Triple the number of dragonlings per spawn, and quadruple their damage. Introduce drakes and mature dragons in the spawns as well; it would be like a mini dragon fight while the high dragon is taking a break to fly around. If you don't kill them in time, you have to deal with them while the dragon is landed. What the hell, make them spawn continuously throughout the fight, so your entire party can't just gang up on the poor high dragon. Double the dragons HP, quadruple her damage output, reduce the cooldown on her guard generation and her aoe rune attacks. Increase her attack speed, and make it so she doesn't telegraph her melee hits so obviously and slowly.

Er... I'll stick to perilous, thanks.

Dragons are impossible hard for us. If you want it harder - maybe just have BioWare remove all promotion benefits and remove all your weapons so you can get stuck with the weapon levels we have even after a few hundred hours of playing (and money spent on a idiotic BS loot system).

I would rather they made the game more accessible because the RNG keeps denying my playgroup any decent items and then they introduce a new DLC that finally gives decent items, but of course - its to hard for us and when we finally managed to beat threathening the RNG screwed us over.

Hopefully you will get a new difficulty where you can be the almighty full time gamer you are (all respect and props for the dedication for being as good as you are too), but they really need to introduce something to help us players who keep getting royally GRAPED by the RNG system.

What DragonRacer said. When the game first released, I spent money on platinum, thinking the store would be like ME3. I didn't mind supporting the game, but I haven't spent a dime since then, because the result is the same whether you spend gold or actual money. I could get a unique HoK ring... or another highland dirk.

As far as the OP, some of us are actually not casual gamers. We just don't like to promote. 2 of my stats are still under 20. The other is at 21. Yeah, try Perilous with that setup.

After blowing a load of money on the Mixed Potions Crate and still coming out with almost everything except for regen potions, I stopped bothering.

That sucks. There's an even chance between all the potions. On PC, I can use scripts to automate the buying process (because who wants to wait).

I also wish I could buy 5x and 10x of everything at once. You'll get the regen pots eventually but... ugh. The wait sucks.

no they they wont there casual players they will never put in the time, and or quit by then... that's why they are casual if they are potential hard core DAMPers then I am sure they will  end up feeling as i do, and be jaded with lack lustered updates and DLC

That's...utterly ridiculous.  It doesn't matter if they're your definition of casual or not, they're paying customers for whom the experience shouldn't be a mind numbing grind to enjoy. Not everyone is going to play this game to end game materials. Asking for the Dragons to be buffed so that they're fun for the top 5% of the community is unreasonable.

Truly, you're getting no, or at least very little, support from the people on this forum. That should tell you something by itself.

I am at 500 hours with 10 / 12 / 32. I HATE promoting. I also hate not playing with a full "build". Yes, I have at least one Agent banner. It`s a Willpower one - the 12 number. I am also 60k shy of the 1 mil earned banner.

So, please, don`t assume things. If you do, make sure they are accurate.

Medallion,it doesn't matter if you believe perilous is easy, and dragons are soft as cotton candy, the truth is most players who play damp are just regular Joe's who don't put mega hours into the game and it is fine. They already have a tough enough time at lower difficulties due to patches, and stealth updates through server side that it must be a chore for them to even extract on threatening. Remember when stats were accidentally reset after the last major patch? How did you do with your 30/30/30 promotions in perilous pugs let alone threatening? You nearly committed sudoku, on the forums because your 1800000000 hours were almost taken away from you. If anything it should make you realize the things like damp are but a microcosm of what is important in this life.
