you know glad you brought this up to... I hat getting super noob stat pugs in my group..... that being said let me say this.... in the time between never winter coming out and this DLc we have lost a huge number of dedicated players like my self and its created a massive gap between players , so higher lvls en up discriminating against those newer players.... yes RNG sucks but would be nice if there was a way for newer players to play with those tried an true players .... like a craftible item that alows for a player to match the  avg group stats for a time or something IDK be creative but its a problem and I do take in and help out alot of new players but it is some times a strain. its not fun to loss or have some one in the fade all the time.... that cant be fun for them .... just wish there was a better way to incorporate new players with those old ones better

The word you`re looking for is newbie. Noob has an entirely different meaning.

not exactly I' pissed because bio wares dropping the ball on a truly great game with so much potential

Nope. You`re pissed because you have too many promotions, which trivialize every future 100 years worth of DLC`s probably - entirely your fault. Having played less, or lesser... promotion obsessed, you would have been better served by this DLC.

At this point your only chance is to get an alt account, with which you`ll promote less, or use bad gear and / or stupid builds, or builds that are way out of norm.

It's fashionable, convenient when you're hungry, and has high expectations that you will cater to its desires and heap praise upon it, lest you be accused of trolling.

It's the medallian medallion medallion.

its funny how its the same 5 people on threads trolling find something better to do and don't comment if you have nothing of substance to add

I am sorry but I cant bite my tongue any longer... its a darn shame how weak these dragons are. It sucks how there's no new difficulties for stronger players... *Shakes head*

I came here to see if you would abuse ellipses. Thanks for not disappointing.

1. it sucks how like I said before there's no difficulties for the top tier players. I know your catering to the majority and not the minority but for us loyal players who have dumped in 1000 to 2000 hours in the game the ones who you know will stick it out, don't you think we deserve a little treat like higher difficulties perilous is all but a joke, as we grinned and prepped for an  awesome dragon fight only to be let down.

The general playerbase can barely beat Threatening consistently, let alone Perilous. There's no point in opening up a new difficulty when the only ppl who will play are the less than 1%ers and leechers. I'd like to see more noob controls and visible attk rating in the lobby first. Even if they made a cut/paste copy of Perilous with 25% boost on AI stats, you'd be making a thread the following day complaining about noobs in your lobby.

4. more weapons...!!! the current new weapons added  are a freaken joke very unimaginative and very stale. Sure the HoK (heal on kill) is a nice touch and the attack is lovely but there all basically the same (dragon weapons). no unique effects no dragon runes for dragon fights and the pool of new weapons are only  a rare and Unique for each type of weapon... I mean come on don't we deserve better us loyal players who have grinned wished and hoped since day one.

I agree with 2 and 3 (skipped). There are currently 715 weapons of which +60 are uniques. 35 of those I'd consider useful to mid/high tier players. If anything the game needs more weapon customization. For instance, why are there no cosmetic attachments for non-upgradable weapons? I'd like to be able to add a Staff Blade or Grip to a weapon that doesn't give you upgrade options just so it looks nicer.

5. only one new map with three different effects?!!??!?! depending on the dragon fought. This was EXCITING!!! for the first day but soon became a bore as we started to speed through it like any other map. at lest different maps for different dragons or even mix it up..... but like I said its an Awesome map, its a Nice step forward but just seems like to little to late.

I'm going to half agree on this. Fastle is a nice piece of work blending the castle effect with the dragon selected. I'd like to see this map on SP. I would've liked to seen more environmental destruction between Zones 1-4 done by the dragons. I'd liked to have seen more interaction between the enemy faction and the dragon (i.e. archer and ranged fighters taking shots at the dragon). There's a limited amount of effects so don't expect too much too soon (a necromancer dragon would be nice). If they released all the dragons now, then what? We'd run out of content too fast.

Here's where I agree. There should've been more dragons available on different maps. I was expecting them to be a boss (or random boss) on more maps. The game needs to take advantage of more noncontinuous parts of the SP map. They could create an event like "The Inquisitor's Purge" that jumps you to random SP map locations (at the end of each zone) to wipe out whatever enemy faction. I've referring to isolated areas such as the Cradle of Sulevin. Don't lose heart though. There is a mega-dragon to be released that's going to kick your Aspen as well as some others.

I really hope we don't have to wait another 5-7 months for another update and I hope its of much better quality then this one, I pray more thought is put into it to make it really grab the attention and bring back some lost players and persuade them to stay the next time around, because I know a lot of people are shrugging there shoulders and going "eh....the up dates meh...".

Me and my friends grinned and were so excited to be ahead of the curve, and ready to smack down some dragon and take on a truly challenging boss, but bio ware.... your dragons are nothing but limp effigy of what should be a great boss fight with awesome skills used against us.

All We see is a Game with so much great potential .. to be one of the greatest games of this year hell even of this decade.....with a truly fun and unique multiplayer experience and you guys just seem to fumble the ball at every turn... unlike a lot of my friends I'm willing to stay to see if you can fine tune and start getting it right... but even I have my limits and with other great games coming out to compete with don't be surprised if you see your servers filled with tumble weeds in the next few weeks....

There are already players who've returned, lots of them. Do you and your small circle of friends actually PUG? As far as dragons being too easy well that's kind of your own fault, but yeah BW is to blame for the unlimited cap on promos (that allegedly had a future design implementation that we all know now wasn't true or never came to fruition). However you can't blame the doctor for prescribing you painkillers but then you OD because you're turned into a junkie. Play in moderation. It's not like Luke didn't drop the biggest hint in the world about a new diff coming out. The dragon could a rare Insta-Kill like a head-bite or foot stomp. It could use a few more animation moves as well.

don't y'all trolls ever get bored...? is there a block function or something?

No. There's no block function. Whatever you do, don't go into your profile and click on the ignore list button. It deletes your profile and all of your DAI promotions.

its funny how its the same 5 people on threads trolling find something better to do and don't comment if you have nothing of substance to add

For someone who gets really upset when other people tell him how he should be spending his free time, you sure have no problem telling me what I should or shouldn't do.

And I don't suppose it occurred to you that you were responding to a post in which I make a tongue-in-cheek comment about you having a tendency to claim that anyone who doesn't openly praise/agree with you is trolling by accusing me of trolling?

I just keep looking at the fact that you called a thread "BioWare's Limp D." I'm remembering how you are so freely willing to stoop to petty insults, and periodically going in to perfectly friendly threads and dropping aggressive, hostile posts calling people out for joking around with each other. And yet, me making a meat necklace joke is somehow too much for you?

Are you sure you're cut out for the internet?

Medallion. you might realize at this point I've been around for a while and my points tend to be valid. Tend to be constructive where it's deserved. But you give little for me to be constructive about in this thread.  There are a lot of points I could have brought up that you really wouldn't have liked. Threads that I could point to that are buried well back in the forums and things like that.

you've disparaged either about number of hours or number of promotions for a very long time. Gotten very demanding about how all runs should be done more than once. The True Elites don't turn away players for low numbers or being new.  So no. There is going to be no real new content to please you if your looking for content catered towards Elites.  Playing with midranged weapons with good bonuses. particularly with your over-leveled stats is not really giving yourself a challenge gear wise. Or looking to make things truly harder for yourself.

I've seen a couple of people actually use Two Handed Maul's just because it limited the number of enemies they could hit with a single swing.  Making it more of a challenge for them because they couldn't just mow through large groups with splash damage weapons as another example of ways to increase difficulty.

Or challenge yourself to protect some of those low stat characters your so against while trying to be elite and see if you can keep them alive and in good condition.

Medallian you realize games aren't designed to be played 10+ hours a day every single day right? No game will ever be able to keep enough fresh content to keep up with the pace you play. Get over it

How do Elite players benefit Bioware more than us casuals?  Do you spend more platinum than we do?  You spend all the time in the game but you're not making Bioware anymore money than the rest of us.

I normally can kind of see your points... but this statement is just so wrong.

You're confusing "play time" with "profit line".

If some players play 10+ hours a day, then odds are they aren't paying real world cash for platinum to improve - they do so through gameplay.

If some players play 10 hours a week, then they seem much more likely to advance ingame via platinum purchases.

Which group is the developer more likely to cater to?

Obviously the one that's spending real world cash. They don't play enough to consistently do well on any nightmare difficultly so that difficultly won't be top of the list. Will it be developed? More than likely. But it won't be the first thing on Bioware's mind, hence the Dragonslayer DLC Mega Bugs thread pinned at the top of the forum.

I challenge you to Perilous difficulty on the duelist using only the inquisition daggers.

Character: Duelist; skill loadout is your choice.

Terms: Level 13 to 16 - no higher.

Weaponry: Inquisition Daggers; no Heal on Kill/Hit items.

Party: PUG or Solo. You're choice.

Map: Ferelden Castle - do not summon the dragon via the gong. Battle the faction boss in zone 5.

End Result: Victory + Top of the leaderboard.

Proof: Post video evidence here or upload to youtube/twitch. Provide link. Must be a working video that includes gear loadout. Pictures are not acceptable.

Best of luck. If I'm forgetting anything, let me know.

L2Business. Time is money. Bioware gets paid by how many hours people play in game, not how much money they spend on the game or in game purchases......

First, I don't really think that Bioware is going to cater more to any group of players based on Platinum purchases. I'm pretty sure the Devs care nothing about Platinum or they would have designed it to be more attractive to purchase. If I had to guess their Daddy EA wanted microtransactions in the game. I don't get the vibe that Platinum really ever crosses the mind of a Bioware developer on a day to day basis.

That said, I agree that there is no challenge for those who have poured many hours in and gathered tons of promotions. Luke has given the impression that they are working on something to revise the promotion system and give something in the way of a harder difficulty. But that will take time. If you are not willing to wait for a new difficulty level, you would probably be doing yourself a favor by discontinuing your grinding. There are many other games that can consume your time and while it sucks to grow bored with a game that you once loved, you have to realize that you fit into an extreme minority of players who have abused the promotion system well beyond what the shortsightedness of the original design ever intended. The VAST majority of players (even those on the leader boards) are not as pumped up as your heroes. So if they spent time to make that content that would satisfy the hardcore 1% they would be wasting time compared to making content for all the menials.

It sucks but it is what it is.

I can see where you would be frustrated but I don't know that your vision of the game is the same as Bioware's vision.
