ok I am just maybe explaining myself wrong but Iwe may be the 1% but we are the ones playing, and you think its wierd I play same 3 maps so should I have quit is this game made perpously toi be dull and make people quit should i give up all hope and move on to another game....and if you feel so whhy even hang in the forums shouldnt you move on to?

Do I think it's weird how much time people (not just you I know a lot of people put in tons of hours) put into DAMP of all games, yes. Am I saying you should play less or quit, no I don't care what you do, I just don't get it. It's your time, do what you will with it. What I am saying is you need to accept you are the reason you are bored with the game. I'm not bored of it because I only play a couple games a day, if any.

The fact you think there should be more people who play 10+ hours a day is totally messed up man. It isn't Biowares fault you play the game night and day. And let me be clear, I'm not trying to insult you for playing so much, you can do whatever you want with your time. You need to check into reality though, you are where you are because of YOU not Bioware. You chose to play as much as you have, which is unrealistic for most of the world.

The more content a game offers, the more time and resources needed to develop it. If it took 1000+ hours to reach end game stuff, I would not bother buying it nor would most casual players. So now they aren't making any money to pay for this huge game, it just doesn't work.

ok I get it I want more endgame content and I am not a casual player I am a hardcore gamer you are a casual gamer so we will never agree but if you want to play casually stay in threatening struggle but for us hard core fan boys of DAMP  I;d like to see new hard core content

In IRL, people understand how businesses work.

Why would they spend money on the 1% who haven't spent hundreds on platinum, when they can focus on the 99% that possibly have "whales" (people who spend frivolously on in game purchases).

Money goes towards catering for the mass, not the minority.

May I suggest a subscription based MMO that get monthly updates and actually have stat caps and grind progression with difficulties and boss fights that can take weeks to learn if you wan't to feel like you're being rewarded for your time?

you got me wrong theres no  "I" and you will hopefully get 1000 hours as well and when you get stats over 100+ which can happen if you continue to play would you not want content equal to your stats

Hmmm. Depends.

I'm fine playing this game the way it is with friends or in PUGs.

This game was released predominantly as a SP game. The MP was just stuck on the back end (even if BW claim it had an independent team work on it for 2 years it sure didn't seem like it, but who knows)

I will reach 1000+ hours eventually as I have no plans in stopping.  I enjoy the gameplay immensely.  I won't expect BW to change anything for me though.  I'll play it how it is,

It's actually not that different from Elder Scrolls Online, FFXIV and WarCraft.... Except it's watered down and everything is made easier for casuals.

In FFXIV you have have 20+ abilities with 40 dungeon, open world gameplay and quests and a heap of end game raids that can take weeks to master. It's not really that fresh, it's copied the MMORPG but just watered it down for casuals and has only had 3 maps over 6 months.

The game has potential going from tacked on multiplayer to something better, maybe in DA:I 2  but as it stands it is fun to play a few games and then go do something better with your time.

As I have said in many threads.... Limitless promotions = No REAL progression system

This game has been out 180 days (Nov. 14, 2014 to May 13, 2015).

1000 hours/180 = 5.5 hours per day. I'd be shocked if even 1% of the playerbase put in that kind of time.

By nerfing "crap in a game", aren't devs weakening characters and abilities, thereby increasing the challenge for you?

You say people are trolling you but all I see are people pointing out facts and stats and you completely ignoring those posts.

Most people on the forum are making suggestions and talking about future, as well as existing, content. The only one not doing anything positive is you by ignoring posts about business, profit margin/line, and majority versus minority that have been explained over and over again.

And you aren't the only ones playing so please stop acting like Bioware should only take suggestions from those with 1000+ hours.

Not in this case. As I explained before, on page 4, in my post, which you completely ignored.

At this point, I think you're trolling Medallian. By ignoring posts that clearly explain everything wrong with your logic and calling us all trolls, you seem to be trying to get a reaction out of us.

I can say the same about you dude..... I am say same thing and your ignoring it I am pointing stuff out just as you its a conversation, just because I dont agree or you cant troll me untill I do does not mean I am ignoring you I am trying to read and respond to as many posts as possible so I am sure not ignoring you

Look at EA'a digital sales figures for the years. A game doesn't need to be pay to win to make money, it just needs to be addictive (As you have demonstrated) and have microtransactions.

Also as pointed out by BW, there is an increased drop rate for those who buy platinum.

I'm not trolling you, but you should l2read because someone already posted the platinum drop increase in this thread.

P.S. I don't want to watch your casual stream of you doing casual progressionless grinding, I'd rather play Bloodborne.

I think you are confusing hardcore with "hardtime"

Hardcore players I knew in FFXIV logged in a few hours a week and did hardest content in game easily. Same with FFXI in organised events.

The casuals were the ones playing all week struggling to complete bosses.

You are "Hardtime" as this game is not difficult and has no hard fights.

There is no hardcore if there is no hard content.

I do not mean that as an insult.

The MP is simply a pick up and play game.

You do sound like you need a more hardcore focused game to be happy.

DAIMP will never be more than it current is no matter how much you want more.

That's me.

Done T-13, got all my gear from raids, upgraded my Zodiac Weapon to final state and now just waiting for the Heaven's Ward expansion.

While I wait, I'm happy to mindlessly grind for dragon weapons on DAMP, only 3 to go so won't be playing until the next DLC

its pointless talking with your, just going to pull bits and pieces from any and every post i have put up and string them together out of context and twist the meaning, same 5 people every time harassing me dude.

What are you talking about? Now you're accusing me of harassment? Are you insane? You really need to take a break from the internet and cool it with the melodrama. And get a sense of humour.

(and yes I am a bit upset)

We couldn't tell.

I find it insulting that you want more say in the game for having 1000+ hours and considering yourself more of a supporter of this game than me. You just have more free time.  I play every day as well.

You'll find the insults go away if you openly agree with and praise him. Disagreement = trolling and, apparently, harassment.

At this point, I think you're trolling Medallian. By ignoring posts that clearly explain everything wrong with your logic and calling us all trolls, you seem to be trying to get a reaction out of us.

You have correctly identified the pattern after only five pages of a single thread, which is pretty hilarious. I think he's actually serious, though.

Exactly. You're saying the same thing over and over despite everyone pointing out the holes in your argument. Then you say people who are pointing out holes in your argument are trolls.

Please point out what you've said that I've ignored. All I've done is explain majority versus minority, profit line/margin, and a little on how businesses work. I haven't argued about any specific content in the game; I've merely explained WHY Bioware will not cater to those who play around 6 hours every single day as opposed to those who play even half that. Again, see my post on page 4 of this thread.

I usually lurk Medallian's threads because others make my point just as well or better than I could myself.. This is just the first time I've gotten involved in his thread to state it. :)

Medallian, you`re playing the wrong game, I`m afraid. This game is not and will never be "hardcore".

From what you say, a pre F2P Lineage 2 style Korean MMO or alike would suit you better - insane grind over insane hours, to give you a reason to exist and have meaning.

Also, the top players are never the ones that spend the more on microtransactions, as they are more than capable, even by time alone, to not need to. So, you see, it`s actually the other way around: you, Medallian, are demanding Bioware manpower on a new game mode that will never make them money, while a "casual" isn`t demanding anything, but might buy Platimum for the already existing 3 games modes .

So, you see, it`s all you "1% leechers off a free MP" vs "the hordes of casuals that might buy Platinum".

Gettin' reeeeeal tired of seeing "casual" thrown around as an insult or as being less "worthy" than high-hour guys.

To mirror an earlier admission by the OP, I'm 30 (so, roughly your same age). I, too, have been gaming since I was 5-years-old from Atari 2600 and onwards. I play some type of game (be it Civ 5, DAI, Fallout, Skyrim, etc) everyday.

But because my life only permits a few measly hours a week to play after work/life chores/family time, I'm a "casual".

To quote the infamous Kenny Bain, "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL"

Part of your problem is you are an elitist Medallion. You refuse to add people unless they have 50+ stats across the board and can solo perilous with half a dozen characters. It doesn't matter to you if they can hold their own in a group or work well in a team, only that if they stupidly run off on their own you won't have to go pick them up or deal with buffed enemies when you don't. You want more high end content? Try spending your time with the community helping to grind more people up to a level where they can also play that content. Me personally, I am a good player but grinding it out the hard way with a near endless stream of weak pugs I only have enough time to work up 3-5 promotions in a week. If I had friends I could regularly grind through perilous with I'm sure I could double that easily. Since I don't have all the promotions and all the gear no one who can help speed me along to a higher tier of play is willing to.

Also, for the amount of time you've put in Medallion you have gotten your moneys worth out of the game ten times over already. You don't deserve anything for that. You're not owed something by the devs because you've spent more time with their game than anyone else. Feeling that way is called self entitlement. Bioware doesn't owe us anything except for fixes to bugs in the game we paid for. Anything they do give us, especially for free in the case of mp dlc, is just icing. A bonus for their loyal fans. So, if and when they do create new content for mp it is in their and the communities best interest to make that content something that is accessible to the broadest spectrum of players they can manage. That doesn't mean the elitists with 100+  promotions. It doesn't mean noobs who pick up the mp for three weeks and then vanish. It means the massive group in between that play the mp a few days a week for a couple of hours who struggle through promotions and open every chest with baited breath hoping to finally pull that one essential piece of gear everyone in the metagame say they need for their favorite character/build.

You are just wasting your life here.

You can't really talk about "hardcore player" here, in this game.

Elite/Pro/Hardcore/SUPERFUCKINAWESOME players simply play other games. Games which require skill - not this endless grinding.
