Gettin' reeeeeal tired of seeing "casual" thrown around as an insult or as being less "worthy" than high-hour guys.
To mirror an earlier admission by the OP, I'm 30 (so, roughly your same age). I, too, have been gaming since I was 5-years-old from Atari 2600 and onwards. I play some type of game (be it Civ 5, DAI, Fallout, Skyrim, etc) everyday.
But because my life only permits a few measly hours a week to play after work/life chores/family time, I'm a "casual".
To quote the infamous Kenny Bain, "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL"
This made me lol because I'm 1 year older and been playing Amiga 500, Commodore 64, Atari and Nintendo since I was 5 so technically I am more hardcore than him because I'm 1 year ahead of him.
But I will say that DAIMP is far from hardcore, it is a watered down MMORPG model, but now with balance changes and 1 end game raid content, things are starting to look up.
It's fun, but not overly complicated.
