I've looked on a lot of places. Then I thought the Construction set of TES4 was complicated but I just don't get one thing of this Toolset. I only want to change Leliana's hair color but I have not the slightest clue on how to do that.
Help would be appreciated!
Where can find a good guide for the toolset?

Try the wiki tutorials. These are very powerful professional tools, which is great, but there's a learning curve, even to do minor tweaks.

Not to mention that the documentation (especially for scripting purposes) is crippled. There are also serious doubts in my mind that this is the toolset they used to make the campaign, mostly because of the said reason and several difficult-to-understand design choices (event system for example). If it is, I'm beginning to understand all the problems they have had and might have - including manifestations of rage demons in the workplace.

How does this answer the question posed by the OP?

Try looking at
http://social.biowar...Getting_Started
Perhaps that helps, there is a short link which compared it to TES4 too

toolset and tutorial both
That'll probably keep you busy for a year (I know it will me:?)
Probably the best thing is to look at others work, if available and extract Biowares files (though that might appear overwhelming.
Concerning your specific question there is a way of doing this by editing the das file (this is the text of your saved game). But it would be easier and more fun to make your own. I'll check back in a couple of days to see if you are going to try your own. If not I'll post das instructions. BTW the file, if you make one, is hf_genfl_leliana.mor. This is called a morph file which is creatures face. It will go in your override file.

Adaram: it doesn't. I was venting my frustration and that was just the trigger. More than that, when it comes to the graphics and model modding part, I'm at a loss. I'm mostly a script and story guy.
TreDawn: thanks for the links. I hope there are more info available than can be found from the bioware toolset wiki.
Atrea: Another thing that helped me some is to open the help tab in the toolset. Some info there, but you'll find more (and better) from the web. Going through interesting-looking threads on the forums does help too, as people most likely have asked most of the questions racing through your mind already.

Another but long long way to learn something, is loading single player module into the toolset and try to anderstand how devs made cutscenes, dialogs, scripts and so on.
