The Geth don't have to exist in the form of humanoid robots. They could return as an AI system of a ship, in the on-board computers inside the Quarians' suits, or really anything computerized. The robots we shoot and blow up are just platforms and there're any number of ways to preserve computer programs like the Geth.

In fact, I wish my own character could display the conversational and behavioral mannerisms of a robot.

Is that right?

They can implement Quarians. Ships like Idenna, sent to find a new homeworld. Have one such a ship be sucked in a wormhole to Andromeda and there you have it - a Quarian colony.

I'd rather not see the Geth again.

The only thing I liked about the geth was the Morning (or Mourning) War.   I liked the play on words with that.

Curious, what's there to like about that war?

It's the dawn of a new intelligence and in the same token that intelligence taking everything away from a previous intelligence.  Morning and Mourning.

It's more the play on words that I like more than the actual war.   But the war was cool too, if you call an ass stomping cool.  Which, in my case, if you don't have an ass stomping of something beloved, you don't have my interest.  Ya know, if it's all rainbows and unicorn farts...    No, just no.

Turians, Salarians and Krogans are the three races I most want to see. I wouldn't miss the others.

Indeed, Turians are the only species I would never replace among the others.

I doubt that they will feature heavily in the next ME game. Their conflicts and problems are all solved one way or another, and even if the quarians survived ME3...they are not exaxtly the most populous species in the galaxy (not sure about the geth).

The last thing we need in the new ME game is another race near identical to humans with minor changes. Tali's photo kind of ruins any creativity Bioware could have had with the Quarian's designs. Unless they magically change their appearance like they did with Qunari.

I really, really, really, really, really, really want the Geth to come back.

I could see the Quarians teaming up with the council to Rebuild the Geth in case of an alliance, or by themselve in order to aid in the reconstruction if there wasn't an alliance.

Preferably, they would start rebuilding with Legion.

My Shep needs his Robro. ;~;

Legion can't be "rebuilt." Legion was a collective of programs that was taken apart and dispersed among the Geth or killed by Shepard before uploading "himself" to another platform.

I would want to see all the races of the trilogy make it to Andromeda (if the rumor is true). To abandon any one of the species that helped make Mass Effect Mass Effect seems, I don't know, disingenuous.

The whole notion of cherry picking which races make the trip makes it seem like the rest of setting is only as good as the fan favorites: "Who cares about the Elcor or the Hanar? Screw them they can rot in the Milky Way! Only the (insert fan favorite species here) are worth saving!" A little melodramatic? Perhaps, but it does suck that the more interesting, if less popular, aliens are going to be ignored in favor of more Humans, more Asari, etc.

I would want to see aliens like the Rachni make the trip, aliens that are distinctly 'alien' and unique; (IMO) BioWare doesn't have the best track record when it comes to adding new 'alien' elements to an existing setting. Sure, its possible that Andromeda could have a distinctive 'other' element to it, but judging by the way the Mass Effect and Dragon Age have went over the course of their respective franchises I find that questionable.

Quarians now have Geth integrated into their suits, so its a package deal.

That said, Quarians are the only race i'm really interested in.  The other races are too...cliche for my tastes.  "Strict Soldier race" "Bloodthirsty Warrior race" "Logical Science race" "arrogant amazon race", etc.  Quarians are a bit more fleshed out in my opinion, plus each quarian is REQUIRED to go out and explore the galaxy, so they tend to have more perspective than others.

Also since most quarians on pilgrimage are flat broke or enslaved, odds are, there's plenty that didn't make it back to the fleet for the final battle, and so were still wandering around (now stranded due to the loss of the mass relays but still)

I hope none of the races are written out. All the ones who can be killed can be easily introduced.

Geth: Legion wasn't the only Geth outside Geth Space. The MP is canon thus there being Geth helping us regardless of the fate of Rannoch is established.

Krogan: They live for millennium anyway so even without the Genophage cure they'll be around a long time.

Quarians: Same as Geth. Not all were at the Battle of Rannoch so regardless of choice some survived.

Rachni: There is a Rachni Queen egg that is brought aboard.

And the other races have no such issues so there is really no issues with bringing them. The only races that will probably not show up are the Yahg, Leviathans, and maybe the Raloi and Virtual Aliens.

Yah, and it could be my headcanon that's getting in the way...   But the Rachni have lived through at least one reaper invasion.   Why wouldn't you bring them along?

Not to mention the facts that they are incredible diggers and can survive in even the worst conditions, making them the perfect race for setting up the foundation for the new colonies by creating tunnels and then the other races follow and build the structures.

I'm confident in the quarians' immunity to being erased from the series, at least more so than the geth, which served primarily as robo-mooks.

Heck, the krogan will probably be there, and we can doom them too.

They would also make for an overwhelming battlefield presence in hostile, unknown conditions. Imagine an Ark expedition team coming across some hostile race and just sending a horde of Rachni, Krogan, Batarians and Geth at their faces. Imagine it!
