Anyone else having an issue with they're game freezing about every 30 mins?  Especially on Omega?

No I haven't had a complete freeze up there. The framerate jumped around a bit but nothing really bad.

on for 8-9 hours straight so far between 2 players no freeze up no framerate jumping game runs perfect and smooth as can be, more than likely your xbox i had freezing problems with my last console before it finally crapped out on me

I've had three freezes in about 10 hours of play. Total Xbox lockups. Usually happens when going through a door or transition to another area. Really annoying.

This has happened to me 8 times so far and I'm only a few hours into the game. Two of these incidents happened on the game's main menu before I could even hit resume.

It happen to me to but i think it was because i was try to get the Zaeed DLC when i cancel the download the game stop freezing

Can't get past the first cutscene here. Keeps crashing the whole 360

frozen twice in about 2 hours of play. happens during load screens, once on the elevator and once while descending onto the planet where the Normandy crash site is located. I also experienced freezes like this with Dragon Age, only less frequent. Mass Effect 1 never froze on me. PLEASE FIX THIS BIOWARE. I love your games, but I can't enjoy them if I'm worried about a freeze every time I play.

I've read in a few other threads that the lock-ups can sometimes be cured by installing to HDD... is anyone experiencing them even with HDD installs?

My game only freezes when i try to make more then 1 character at the screen for selecting your class. Its horrible. I don't even like my first guy.

My Xbox totally freezes up when I try to access the ME1 save data on starting a new character, I can play the save games fine in ME1, but ME2 craps out when I try to import.



Also, I can't install ME2 to my hard drive, it stops and can't read disk at exactly 48% every single time, might be related, don't know.



Anyone else that can't access the import or install? I might take my game disk back and get a new one, but it's collectors, I don't think it should matter with Game Disk 1, should all be the same.

Same here. I have played with it installed,not installed, with title update, without title update. Nothing seems to change. For those with constant lock-up/freezing, are you playing CE or standard edition? I wish I could play....

I can't even get the game going now, keeps crashing before it finishes loading. And now my 360 crashes even when just turning it on or on the dashboard, this has never happened before..

My game has crashed 3 times. It is installed on the hard drive. It crashes usually during cut scenes.

I have collector's if tha tmeans anything

Try installing the game to the HDD, this may fix the problem.

Sounds like a hardware problem. I'd call MS about this.

My 360 freezes 2 times when i had the game installed on HDD. Then i delete the game from HDD and i try again. Then i works, but if i want to make a second or third character the game freeze when you will get the screen to create your character face etc. EA or BIOWARE do something about it

Same issues here. On Omega and game freezes - sometimes within minutes of loading save game and other times 5 minutes. Have tried installing to HDD and also clearing cache. No error, just stops responding and have to reboot system.



Other games (like Dragon Age - also EA) are working fine - so shouldn't be a system problem.



To those others who are having the same problem, what version of XBOX are you using. I'm using the first version 1.X (got it at launch)

I put about 15 hours into a game, I turned the game on twice and i beat it within that time.

Just started a 2nd run through on hardcore and after dying about 5 times in a row my game froze on me dying again.

I put over 400 hours onto the last game before i started having problems like this, it got to the point where gun fire looked like a line(helped for when enemies where so far back the game didn't feel like showing their location).

Game froze at initial import of ME1 character, total xbox lockup. 2nd time was after I queued the DLC (crash site, zaeed, armor) and tried to resume game. Now xbox turns on and it sounds okay (mechanically) but no picture nor sound. Does not display dashboard or game. Swapped out cables too and still no picture. BTW this was my first game start after downloading the required update for the game.

My game freezes about every 5-20 minutes of playing. I don't think its a hardware problem because I can play other games on my 360 for hours on end with no problem, its just when i try to play ME2 I run into trouble. I installed it to my hard drive, but that didn't help.



Also, two times after the console locked up, when I restarted it I got a black screen telling me to contact Xbox support in like 8 different languages and giving me error code E71. According to the internet, E71 is believed to be an error code associated with a bad console update, but there haven't been any recent console updates and again, every other game I own runs just fine for as long as I want to play. What's also strange is that I've only gotten this error screen twice out of the dozen or so crashes that I've experienced. Normally, when I restart my 360 it starts up like nothing had happened.



All of this leads me to believe that its a problem with the disc, so I'm going to go exchange it for a new one today, so I hope that fixes the problem.

Well, my new copy of the game freezes LESS, but its still happening.  Any ideas?

xbox 360 here and freezes when creating 2nd character based on my first ME2 character. Freezes at the time that I'm supposed to change face/skills/etc.

It froze only once and never again thats was when i was recruiting Samara after the ship part that boss disappeared randomly and then everything shut down i found it more funny with the disappearing act with the Asari boss she ran away with her goons and never return from behind that cover lol.
