Inquisition's party would murder DA:O's.

That is all.

Pretty much, especially the rogues.

All three of Inquisition's rogues are comically OP whereas their DAO counterparts were some of the weakest in the series. And that includes Rogue Warden.

WHY DOESN'T HAWKE GET A PARTY

Hawke's party are all on the side lines cheering Varric on, albeit a tad drunkenly:

Also PS Aveline would wipe the floor with everybody on those lists

1) Morrigan vs Solas (he's elven god and Morrigan doesn't have intel about him so she can't prepare)
2) Wynne vs Vivienne (slightly with help of spirit)
3) Cassandra vs Alistair (this is no brainer)
4) Blackwall vs Loghain (Loghain is getting old)
5) Iron Bull vs Sten (Probaply).
6) Leliana vs Sera (Sera is good with bow, but hasn't been trained. Leliana is spymaster).
7) Cole vs Zevran (Zevran himself says that he isn't good at battles and Cole has his spirit powers)

Optional :
9) Varric vs Oghren (Probaply).
10) Dorian vs Anders (with help of Justice/Vengeance)

Yeah, I finally did a proper build of my assassin archer and Sera (who sports a bow with a hidden blades 5 hit chance) and I had a good laugh at how dragons' health bars emptied faster than my computer's recycle bin once I got mark of doom to make sweet love to thousand cuts.

I think Zevran would win against come by thinking every dirty thought he could come up with to overwhelm Cole as the fight started. I'm sure he could be very creative. And while Cole is trying to figure out the logistics of how the Inquisitor, Hawke, the Warden and five or six of their companions could have sex, Zevran would strike.

Kekeke.

For real though, if Cole didn't have his mind-wiping voodoo I think Zev would wipe the floor with him.

I'd rather he didn't, though. I just want them to braid each other's hair.

Gotta say with the sera vs leliana one, if it was a base fight with bows, sera would defiantly win... She's so good with the bow that she gets bored and does trick shots mid-combat. (Iron bull banter) she also displays surprise when she misses (I think that's more iron bull banter).
Yeh leliana is a great spy master and bard and all of that, but they specifically go out of the way time and time again in inquisition to point out how good sera is with a bow.

In a fight:

1.Solas

2.Wynne(due to the spirit)

3.Cassandra (no contest Alister would go down very quickly)

4.Loghain (if when at his prime)

5.Iron Bull

6.Leliana (no contest)

7.Cole (other than Solas and MAYBE Morrigan, Cole is by far the most powerful companion lore-wise)

9.Varric (close)

10.Anders (due to Vengeance)

Favourite

1.Morrigan

2.Wynne(close but Asunder tips the scale)

3.Alister

4.Blackwall(will likely change if I read his books)

5.Sten(close, but Sten's dry humour tips the scale)

6.Sera

7.Cole(no contest)

9.Varric(no contest)

10.Tie

The title says it all. Who'd you think would win if each companion had a one on one versus a comparable other. Some characters may be left out
1)Morrigan vs Solas ( Apostates with secrets)
2) Wynne vs Vivienne(Spent their lives in the Circle)
3) Cassandra vs Alistair (Sword and shield templar types)
4) Blackwall vs Loghain (Sword and shield champions seeking Redemption)
5)Iron Bull vs Sten (Quanari two-handed)
6)Leliana vs Sera ( lithe female archers)
7)Cole vs Zevran (Stealthy Duel Wielders)

Optional :
9)Varric vs Oghren ( Red head Dwarves adding Humour)
10) Dorian vs Anders(Wise Cracking Mages)

My take:

1) Solas (more magical experience and knowledge)

2) Vivienne (close call...gonna have to go with the Knight-Enchanter)

3) Cassandra (Seekers can immobilize Templars)

4) Loghain (more leading and combat experience, otherwise very close call)

5) Sten (Iron Bull has revealed he's soft in places...Sten is unwavering)

6) Leliana (no question/contest)

7) Cole (so many advantages over Zevran, who is constantly referenced as a bad fighter...)

8) Varric (would take Oghren out before he even closes in on him)

9) Anders (power of a Spirit Healer and Demon in one)

Total Inquisition Party: 5

Total Warden's Party: 4

Close call but Inquisition party wins!

1. Difficult choice, but I would have to go with Morrigan, because Solas is (currently) a very weak god (or god-like being), while Morrigan can shape-shift into anything she wants.

2. Vivienne, because she's an overpowered Knight Enchanter, and Wynne's special ability weakens her soul with every use.

3. Cassandra, because Alistair was too weak to handle being in charge, whereas Cassandra is perfectly capable of handling things on her own, and she even fought a small army of dragons in order to save someone. At most, all Alistair did was deal the killing blow to an archdemon (which would have been already near death at the time).

4. Loghain, because he is a battle-hardened warrior who (jointly with 1 other person) pushed out back a whole army.

5. Another difficult one, but I think maybe The Iron Bull. Not by much, though.

6. Leliana because she's gone through much worse trials than Sera ever has, such as being incarcerated and tortured, managing later to escape her captors.

7. Cole, but only if he can make Zevran forget him. If he can't, the assassin who single-handedly defeated 4 master assassins would win.

8. ANOTHER hard one, but I think Oghren. Obviously, Varric would easily be able to get first blood, but Oghren's a berserker, and hurting him is only going to make him very angry. Adrenaline rush + anger + blood lust = a pretty scary warrior. That said, I've never ever played as a berserker (unless you count controlling Oghren).

9. Again, it's a hard one. Dorian is a mage bred from the best mages of a tyrannical country ruled by some of the most powerful mages in Thedas, but Anders managed to escape being locked up in a Circle 9 times (or was it 7?) all by himself. Plus, he managed to destroy a chantry right under the noses of the local Grand Cleric, a crazy Knight-Commander and a powerful First Enchanter, not to mention the Champion of Kirkwall. And of course, Anders merged with a Spirit of Justice, and turned into a semi-demon, semi-abomination that frequently goes berserk. Based purely on his accomplishments, I'd say Anders.

So, for me, the Warden's party. Either 6 to 3 or 5 to 4, depending on whether or not Cole can make Zevran forget him.

1. Hmmm... Solas. After some deliberation! XD

2. Wynne

3. Cassandra

4. Loghain

5. Sten? Sorry Bull.

6. Leliana

7. Cole

9. Varric

10. Dorian. DAA Anders, yes? So Dorian.

So that's, what? Four for Warden, six for Inqisitor? Quizzy wins.

This one is a lot tougher than the Hero vs. Inquisitor thread. First, we need to match these people appropriately. Here are my picks:

Cassandra would spank Alistair.

Blackwall I think you'd have to compare to Oghren, Loghain. or Justice. So I think it would be...

Justice > Blackwall = Loghain > Cassandra > Oghren > Alistair

The Iron Bull vs. The Sten would be difficult to determine. A more fitting match would be pitting The Iron Bull against The Arishok version of The Sten, since Origins is 10 years prior to Inquisition. I think The Arishok version could beat The Iron Bull, but I think The Sten would lose.

Rogues:

Sera could take down Leliana no problem just because of Tempest OPing alone. So I think Sigrun would actually stand a better chance for her damage negation. Nathanial would too, and this is because of the Awakening specializations.

Sigrun ≥ Nathanial > Sera > Leliana > Zevran

Cole would annihilate Zevran. A better match would be between Cole and Sigrun or Nathanial.

Sigrun ≥ Nathanial = Cole > Leliana > Zevran

But I think even Zevran could take Varric down.

Mages:

Morrigan can beat Solas, though Solas might be able to use Mythal's compulsion now if Morrigan drank from the Well. But in general, Solas is high damage, low defense.

Vivienne is Knight Enchanter, so she would beat Wynne easily unless Wynne is spected as an Arcane Warrior, and I think she would have to use the Spirit of Hope as well in order to stand a chance.

I think the only mage who can actually rival Vivienne in the game is the Inquisitor.

In a match between Anders and Dorian, I think Anders would come out on top. (Not in that way. Shutit!)

Vivienne > Morrigan (DA:I) > Anders > Vellana > Dorian > Wynne > Morrigan (DA:O) > Solas.

Poor Solas. LOL! But that's assuming he hasn't regained some lost powers at the end of DA:I.

This is a way more comprehensive way to do it. I should have thought of it myself. Solves the problem of the number of higher number of rogues and mages in DAI. What about Dog though? ;)

1) Morrigan, because yes;

2) Wynne, Shale would help her crushing Vivienne's head;

3) Cassandra (Seeker > Templar);

4) Loghain;

5) The Arishok;

6) Leliana is THE archer, sorry Sera;

7) No-score draw;

9) Varric, because being always drunk doesn't help against Bianca;

10) Dorian & Anders would be best friends, so no contest here.

EDIT: mmm I noticed there's no 8) option, so I'll add it myself.

8) Dog vs Mount: BARKSPAWN!

I already thought of this myself.

Blackwall? I think is his name? He's the only decent character in Inquisition (though overlooked as hell because 'omg scary hetero white cis devil'). He would be a tough fight, but otherwise the Origins group and Warden would smash apart the Inquisition party without a challenge. Iron Bull would be too busy being a poorly-written sexhound, Sera would be too busy being a pigfaced moron, Dorian would be too busy being inclusively gay, Cassandra would be too busy being a Monty Python Frenchman stereotype, Voldemort-Solas would be killed by Harry Potter, and as such, they'd get whipped without a fight at all.

The Warden-Commander alone could probably take down the entire Inquisitor's party.

"You fight Fade demons? Cute. I fought werewolves, Fade demons, corrupt Arls, corrupt Teyrns, ancient and intelligent darkspawn, rebel Dwarves, werewolves, possessed Templars, bandits, soldiers, and an entire darkspawn horde and an ancient, corrupted god. And I won."

tl;dr, in every case the Origins party member would win. It'd be a slaughter more than a contest.

"Ride the bull ride the bull sex joke." Bull says as Sten lops off his head.

"Oh my gawd, you need to work on your faaaaaaaashion seeeeeense!" Dorian giggles as Morrigan sets him on fire.

"BOOLSHEET BAGUETTE HON HON HON" Cassandra yells as Alistair drives a blade in her gut.

"Youuuu will nottttt killlll me Haaarrryyyyy..." Solas says as he dies horribly.

"I'd fight if I could.. I'm quite the warrior, but Bioware hates heterosexual white men." Blackwall says as he's retconned out of the story.

"I'm kinda cool, I admit. But Oghren is cooler." Varric admits as he and Oghren get wasted. In an alcohol sense.

"OI FECKIN AY OI OI ARR OI OI MAE OI EH EHEHEHEHEHH" Gollumsera says as the entire Origins party goes Office Space printer on her ugly mug relentlessly. The Warden goes back to continue beating on her and the other struggle to pull her away. (Though in the end Sera looks much more attractive as a pile of pummeled goop.)

Handsome Jack would of course jump in and kick Sera's corpse a few more times for good measure. Barkspawn would then eat all the Inquis folks.

1)Morrigan vs Solas

Solas (though I suspect Morrigan is eventually going to get an "upgrade" that will put her either even with Solas' power level or on top sometime in the future)

2) Wynne vs Vivienne

Wynne

3) Cassandra vs Alistair

Probably Cassandra. (Though considering Alistair took down Sten solo in the comics I'm not 100% sure on that.)

4) Blackwall vs Loghain

Loghain

5)Iron Bull vs Sten

Sten

6)Leliana vs Sera

Leliana

7)Cole vs Zevran

1)Morrigan vs Solas ( Apostates with secrets)

Baldilocs v. Morrigan... no contest... the Witch of the Wilds evicerates the bald-headed ******... #Morrigan wins.

2) Wynne vs Vivienne(Spent their lives in the Circle)

Preachy/condescending School mum v. Annoying/condescending Byatch... Vivienne in a landslide. She's much more entertaining.

3) Cassandra vs Alistair (Sword and shield templar types)

I like both... if forced to choose... humorous Alistair wins by a nose over ridigidly annoying Cass

4) Blackwall vs Loghain (Sword and shield champions seeking Redemption)

The beard wins... there can be only one! Loghain is defeated yet again.

5)Iron Bull vs Sten (Quanari two-handed)

Sten's cornrows made it close, but its IB by a horn (if only the Sten had horns)

6)Leliana vs Sera ( lithe female archers)

The absolute least close race... Leliana in a landslide... Leliana's Nug was more interesting than Sera.... Idle Dwarf defeats Sera... Coprse #1635 defeats Sera...

7)Cole vs Zevran (Stealthy Duel Wielders)

Zevran... no contest... less mumbo jumbo non-sense talk

Optional :
9)Varric vs Oghren ( Red head Dwarves adding Humour)

Asschabs!!! Oghren wins again.

10) Dorian vs Anders(Wise Cracking Mages)

Depends... DAA Anders v. Dorian... DAA Anders... DA2 Anders.... puleeeezzzze, Dorian in a landslide.
