you know, isn't the feminist movement kind of sexist in it's own way? Not saying that fighting for equal rights is bad and stuff, but if a campaign based on "maleism" or something took place, everyone one would call it out for it.

Exactly how is Bahar Mustafa a person of color? Without even clicking on the "play" button, look at the image for the second video. Does she not just look white to anyone else? I mean, her name is foreign, certainly, but her actual skin is as white as mine, and my heritage is a mix-match of all kinds of European genetics, and a teeny-tiny miniscule splash of Native American. If her name is what gives her a pass then I'm changing my name to a Native American tribal name to cash-in on my heritage.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think that entitles me to reparations for damages that the white man caused to my people however many hundreds of years ago. Because we all know that white people nowadays are directly responsible for things like slavery and attempted genocide that occurred centuries ago.

She is, but it's more convenient for non-european caucasians to claim to be a separate group. So much for "white privilege".

Amusing the overlap between posters on here and the 'Do nice girls exist' thread.

true, their direction needs to be more clearly solidified I would say. It also doesn't help that for the most part generally the radicals in the moment are the ones garnering the attention of people, and have thus also become the "feminist stereotype" that tends to be associated with the movement, out-voicing those that might be considerate moderate on the and should be the one getting the most attention.

One question, given the fact that this is a anita sarkeesian thread, I was honestly curious on your opinion of her on the whole matter, if it doesn't trouble you.

It's also that the word itself is contradictory to it's supposed definition and goals. It makes no sense to gender the term for a movement supposedly fighting for gender equality. It's like forming a movement or ideology striving for racial equality and calling it white-ism.

In their defense, egalitarianism is a big word and hard to spell.

I mean, it's not really, but SJWs are lazy and stupid.

 SJWs are lazy and stupid.

Being a SJW is a must if you plan on making money from doing nothing benifical to society. Why work hard or make something of note when I can just make a ton of money from crying about the mean messages I get on Call of duty. Or how my sensitive brain has a mental meltdown from looking at the polygons from GTA.

They can't be making that much money. Gender Studies degrees count for nothing on the job market.

But then I remember that anyone with a functioning brain can work for sites like Kotaku and Jezebel, so never mind what I said above. Not to mention that every other internet feminist I know plugs in their Patreon in their articles and videos. Because nothing says "I want equality between the sexes" like "also be sure to give me your money".

You know I find it strange that Anita reacted so strongly to the MSGV hashtag. She usually ignores silly things like this, but It is interesting that she went on a long winded rant about Gamergate is out to prove she's not a gamer and they got nothing on her. Besides it's not like the MSGV hashtag took off, there were a couple of people making fun of her but it wasn't trending. Reacting to this (or even reacting at all) just made Anita's detractors suspicious of her claims that she's a gamer, if she just let it slide then the hashtag would've died out.

What kind of person would ever make a claim that she isn't a gamer who enjoys video games?

That woman claiming you can't be sexist/racist if you're a woman and non-white is a perfect example of what I was referring to earlier with problems in feminism. That attitude(along with that male tears image and excluding straight white males from attending) is pathetic and disgusting. Trying to rationalize bigotry is horrendous no matter who does it.

Actually, the most reliable theory is that the Neanderthal are the only ****** sapiens that ever lived together with "****** sapiens sapiens".

There's more, they're hypothesizing that neanderthal is just a variant of the sapiens sapiens.

Because we all know that white people nowadays are directly responsible for things like slavery and attempted genocide that occurred centuries ago.

Technically, it was little over a century ago. The last noted act of genocide against native Americans was in 1890 and slavery hasn't even been abolished for two centuries. The argument is that people are benefiting from said genocide by living on land unlawfully taken from a certain tribe while the tribe members live in terrible conditions today. Which, mind you, applies to everyone using that land regardless of being white.

I find it silly to try to accuse "ancestral" sins, for those that do. Should everyone just apologize for the distant murderer/thief/bandit in their family tree? Should Genghis Khan's ten million descendants apologize for his actions?

There have been more cases of slavery and attempted genocide that those perpetrated by the U.S.
