Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about Bioware at E3. I don't have a twitter account. I can guess they will have Mass Effect 4 and SW Battlefront news as their showrunners, but maybe a single player DLC for Dragon Age too. Yes? No? Maybe Yes?
Will there be E3 news?

Man, I hope DAI does not have a presence at E3. That game has been out for 6 months now, time to let it go and move on to more interesting/popular products such as Mass Effect 4 and possibly the new IP. At this point unless some new expansion that is STORY driven and not fetch quest driven comes out for DAI, I doubt I will ever come back to playing this game. MMO-like feel, bland protagonist, and short story. I just cannot wait for the ME4 news as well as the new Bioware IP news to start rolling out so that DAI can be forgotten about by the masses and we all focus our attention to the meat and potatoes of Bioware quality. I mean to me, DAI was closer to a design that I would expect from a Bethesda game, not a Bioware game.

While they haven't outright said, something (eg. teaser trailer) for ME4 seems like a pretty safe bet at this point. We know they are working on more DLC for DA:I, it's just a question whether they will they use E3 to tease it. My gut says... probably not with everything else on EA's plate.

I am just dissapointed with DAI. I expected a Bioware quality game with cinematic dialog and instead I got a failed attempt at an Elder Scrolls: Dragon Age edition title. Since 2014 was a slow year in gaming, DAI was able to almost sweep tje GOTY awards, making it look like DAI was the second coming of RPGs.
Am I overreacting? Yes. I am ready for a true Bioware title in ME4.

I honestly hope ME4 is just like DAI but space themed, because the forum posts then will amuse me that much more

I'm not taking that to the bank, given the content of the leak.
Believe me, I don't want DAI 2.0 either (although I would still give the game about a 7.8, which is certainly higher than I'm thinking you would) but don't get too convinced it isn't coming.

It's honestly kind of hard for me to get excited about Next Mass Effect. And that has nothing to do with whatever I thought of Mass Effect 3. Now that the trilogy about the Reapers is complete, it feels like anything else will be a stop down.
I still am interested in more Dragon Age stuff.

Well they supported ME2 and ME3 for a year, if they follow suit there should be 2 single player DLC and 2 more MP DLC coming. Though the Frostbite Engine lets them make games across consoles and PC easier, it is taking more time to get materiel out. This is why I was wondering about E3. But reading the replies to this thread I can see the point of the posters.
Though not coming to the same as reasoning as Majestic Jazz, perhaps a long break from the game will do me good. One less thing to fret over.

A true Bioware title? Really? Have you so forgotten the ending of Mass Effect 3? I'm on consoles so I didn't get any of the mods, such as the My Happy Ending Mod that made the ending decent (MHEM is actually very well done). I have my problems with DA:I but it feels like a side step in progression that Bioware will hopefully learn from. They should scale the next game back some and possibly go back to the segmented mapping of DA:O and DA 2; that may have caused multiple load screens but it allowed for us to have far better utilized maps.
I hope ME4 cooks for a very long time, I'd rather it as well done enough to have the texture of shoe leather instead of coming out raw and bloody like DA:I did. If they had waited longer and had a better handle on Frostbyte maybe we wouldn't have gotten 5 versions of a game with their own various broken bits. It also makes me hope that ME4 is a next gen/pc title. I know that cuts out the people that either don't have the new system or a better pc but we saw what happened when they tried to baseline a game for the old and new; it did not end well as we can see from the various gamers shouting about how horrible DA:I ended up.

Whatever my thoughts on any particular aspect of Inquisition (I like it less than DAO and the Mass Effects, but more than DA2, for the record) there's no denying a lot of passion went into its construction. A lot. And I, too, can't wait to come back to Thedas. I'm supremely hopeful there'll be two more, story-driven single-player DLCs. I've made my specific desires on their content pretty clear in other threads, but yeah.
All the same, Mass Effect is mah jam. Can't wait to hear more.

Well, even "if" ME4 is a copy and paste of DAI, at least it would make sense in the context of the game if the leaks are to be true. We would be playing as a pathfinder which is an explorer at the core. In DAI we were a leader of a large organization with diplomats, spies, and an army at our fingertips and yet we were the one doing the menial task. So the exploration seemed dull and uneeded.I'm not taking that to the bank, given the content of the leak.
Believe me, I don't want DAI 2.0 either (although I would still give the game about a 7.8, which is certainly higher than I'm thinking you would) but don't get too convinced it isn't coming.
Also the space elements will add to more intrigue to ME4 as the races, locations, armor, visuals, and even music will be more exotic.
Either way, E3 is going to be big for Bioware BECAUSE Dragon Age will not be the focus. I mean lets be honest, DA has always been 2nd tier to Mass Effect. Dragon Age games are like the appetizer to the main meal which is Mass Effect. Dragon Age's initial appeal was that it was a spiritual successor to Baulder's Gate and since then DA has been trying to find its identity. DA2 tried to be like Mass Effect and DAI tried to be like Skyrim. Then the art style/visual tone id always changing for DA while ME stays the same. I mean, take a look at the darkspawn, elfs and qunari from DAO through DAI and how each game is a different look. Also I doubt ME4's protagonist will be the Lame King that The Inquisitor was.
Dragon Age is like the boxing fights on PPV before the main event, it is there to just hold us over until the real event is about to happen. In this case, that main event is the release of ME4.
This is why DAI will and should be absent at E3.
However for me, since DAI is just a borefest with a borefest protagonist, The Witcher 3 along with its planned expansion, will be the RPG to hold me over til ME4.

I didn't get into Dragon Age until a year and a half ago, but I've liked it more than I thought I might have. Sci-fi's more my scene, by a large margin. Origins in particular is really great aside from some slogs here and there. Inquisition's pretty good. 2 is... OK. Mass Effect is definitely still the main course though. What a series.
I haven't been able to get into The Witcher for so many reasons. I don't own a PC so I can't play TW1. I'm obsessed with getting full stories in games though (after all, when I'm such a story-driven gamer and there are only so many options available) so I watched TW1's three-hour "movie" version on YouTube but I was still lost. It felt too choppy that way; there was a lot missing, I thought. I confirmed my suspicions by starting a 20-hour full playthrough version, but I got caught up with school stuff like 8 hours into watching it over the course of a week or so. Haven't gone back, because man, I'd have to start all over at this point. I've tried playing TW2 once on its own but I feel so lost. And now I don't own a 360 anymore either so dammit. And I'd want to read the books too.
So basically this is a long story of my personal failures in life. But. I might still GameFly TW3. I hear it's a great place to start. (Insert BioWare joke here.) I'm almost positive it won't be, but what the hey, I live near a distribution center. Only wastes a few days of my subscription to try anyway.

There's no reason why Bioware can't announce DA DLC and the next ME at E3. The important thing is how far along the DLC is, which we don't know. I'm not worried either way because, since ME3 and DAI are among my favourite games ever, any news from Bioware is good news for me.

The biggest reason they wouldn't do so, I'd think, would be that it isn't deemed worth taking up presentation time over. Most games don't get DLC announcements during the big conferences. But the real meat and potatoes of E3 (IMO) is the flurry of press coverage that comes over not only E3 week itself, but the following weeks as well. And a new DLC could feasibly be announced across that span, enjoying added recognition in the process.

They're not going to announce Inquisition DLC at an E3 press conference--that would be unusual. ME: Next is most likely going to be their focus this E3. There's a possibility they unveil it even before the actual show starts.

well we never thought bioware would release a dlc day one and they did just that. What does EA have that is big for them thats coming out this year other then Battlefront? They can't have an entire 1 hr show just on Battlefront. I agree though MEN will likely get more attention, but like they can say " play the dlc right now." Which wouldn't be unheard of because it happened last year with few titles.

To clarify, if there is a DLC, it won't be announced at the conference, but sometime during the show, possibly a day or two before or after.
DLC isn't usually announced at E3 press conferences unless it's for an MMO or some such.

The New Need For Speed
Mirror's Edge
The Annual sports games
I'm sure an announcement or teaser of Bioware's new IP will be included.
