If you don't like the AW the don't play with it if you don't like the way a teammate us playing the AW then tell them or use the kick button but don't be a lil girl and go crying to big daddy to fix something you don't like

Next should be barrier generation, as soon as AW start to realize they can't run ahead of the party and pull the entire dungeon the better.
Nerf it to the ground so that it does it's job as support, not one man band.

Balance changes are meant to balance characters with one another. With all the buffs that classes got last friday (and there likely are more coming next friday), destroying the AW's ability to tank through barrier generation would likely put him behind, balance wise. If he can't absorb a decent amount of damage, then his second (of three) unique abilities will be rendered ineffective. If this comes to pass, anyone who plays as the AW may as well play the Elementalist, as he'll be able to do whatever the AW does, but better (rendering the AW basically null and void, aside from Pull of the Abyss for supreme crowd control).
Mana cost for spirit blade is too high.
As for the AW
Why ppl think he should be a glass cannon? That he shoudn't charge at enemies? Because of what? Some oldschool boring bullshit that "mage" is a "dps"?

Arcane Warrior, this in DAI and this in da:o was a mage in armor. Was a warrior with magic. Magic in dragon age aren't idiotic like in other rpg where you need to use robe and can't touch a sword.
But knowledge about arcane warriors as we all know is almost forgotten, who played da:o should know why. This version of arcane warrior, in many aspects some Knight Enchanter keeper mix is what is left of this magic school.
Still principle for either KE and Arcane Warrior is the same. You are warrior mage, close combat mage. You are not afraid of melee range, you have enough defensive spells to survive it.
That's why true AW should charge. Should "tank". It's his role, he has tools for it. Barrier, fade cloak, cc and EB.
You want him to what? Stand in range and pew pew? Combat clarity wasted. Barrier only on himself, CC limited. If you change current AW to some "caster" it's just a poor mans keeper - without barrier, without static cage, without similar mana regen.

There is now only one way to spec the AW and still have Spirit Blade be viable (well, there is some slight wiggle room). That alone is pretty silly.

Before nerf you could play as AW with or without weakness source, aside from it if it was good or not. It was possible to use EB as main source of damage without the need of weakness.
This was good because even 9 level AW was fun to play. You have basic things and you could just play as AW from this level to 20.
Now it's broken. You NEED weakness with mana passive to even think of using EB more than once. Effective build is now way higher.
If weakness is pretty much needed (buffed weakness, not any one) every sleep on target, every eletro user, CL user can break all the fun.
For now I can say it. If they don't change eb mana cost but they fix Stone fist detonation EB is dead on AW. Main skill for the class would be just dead.
Oooooh...perhaps that is why sometimes Restorative Veil doesn't work? If my weakness effects can be removed without my doing so, thus crippling my ability to effectively play as a melee AW...then that is most definitely ****** up.

This thread from the pro and con nerfers.
If you have high promo stats you barely notice the nerf. If you have low promo stats then you feel the pain. That's how it should be. The AW doesn't need to be nerfed to the ground nor is it intended to be a "support kit". The AW needed nerfing a long time ago. The fact that he was allowed to run unchecked for 6 mths says alot about.... you know what nvm. You had 6 whole months to cheese your way to the top with a BS kit and non-complicated exploits. If you missed out then you have noone to blame but yourself. I'm just being honest with you.
I use Chain Lightning, StoneFist, SpiritBlade and Flashfire on my AW. I can switch between ranged and CQC at whim. I'm able to maintain barrier generation under either condition. I don't use SB offensively but defensively (unless it's a boss), however if I wanted I could still run it offensively. The AW's might comes from it's combination of abilities. FadeShield is just what gives the AW its high survivablity. If they tweaked FS just slightly then it might be on par with other kits while also still remaining fun.

and after that get weakened status it will change into sleep. Weakened will be changed to sleep (100 damage done to target) and shocked will stay.
It can happen even on dragon who can't be set on sleep (you will see 100 damage, sort of white color of text and immune ) weakened will still disappear.
But
Weakened status does not stack, new will overlap the old one. Only 2 classes in game (keeper and aw) have passives made around weakened, all other classes just apply basic version of it (-15% damage from enemy)
To get mana from restorative veil you need to apply, class with that passive need to apply weakened to target. Your passive don't work on "all" weakened status, just your own in same way as other passives works on you.
So if your AW want to use CL and still use restorative veil you need to change order of skills. First weaken, after that shocked. In that order they don't get sleep status.
To sum up. Because AW now needs this mana from restorative veil every shock or weaken spammer does not help him much. Before nerf it was some kind of bonus, mana for PoTa, some CL spam or whatever someone used. Mana regen was enough for SB so additional mana was just a bonus. Now is needed. Stupid use of skill can leave AW in the middle of mob group without mana and ability to do pretty much anything.
Ah, I see. I usually do open a fight with Stone Fist, followed by Chain Lightning, but sometimes I'd reverse it to get the sleep effect for shiggles. Guess I'll have to stick with the primary order of attack to maintain optimal results.

I never not even once i liked SB, and it was only the first time i made that build, i couldn't believe people like to swing an sword around. AW was not an strong character, it was weak, so weak that if he stooped attacking wile surrounded by enemies he die.
After that first time, i tried ranged build and it was great!

Just like that 2 Weakening skill plus Restoration Veil, only Rion's Fire Storm Spam is more Dominant.

Well my promotions are 22/31/30 and I can solo the castle and dragons on perilous. So everyone needs to stop complaining, AW is fine. More than fine.
Don't use SB.
CL, SF, FS, FC. You can fight range you can fight close quarters and the world bows to your power.
