This is a very special DLC-mod project - one that took me 2 weeks of non-stop work, numerous nights staying up till 3 in the morning, and much, much frustration to work out.... but I've completed it :) And you guys are going to like this one, I hope.

So without further adieu.... the Bonus Power Packs.

About the Mod
Like many people I'm sure, there are a number of powers in Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer that I love to use and thought that a number of them would make good additions for Shepard's power arsenal in Single-Player. However, no such official DLC came from BioWare and the previous modding methods for imported MP powers into SP could be overtly convoluted and difficult for the general mod user... not to mention that a number of the MP powers could have, well, "issues" when used in SP (I love it when a power is both invisible and does no damage, lol).

My prior research and development with making Stimulant Pack as a true bonus power for the Citadel DLC has given me a fair understanding of how Bonus Powers are constructed, on top of my other work with making DLC mods and introducing custom textures into mods. To that end, I decided to see whether or not if would be possible to convert an MP power in an SP version and to make that new power usable as a bonus power for Shepard. The result of my work are the Bonus Power Packs - a pair of DLC mods that introduces 10 powers taken from Multiplayer into the Single-Player campaign as true, genuine bonus powers for Shepard to use.

Bonus Power Pack 1 contains: Arc Grenade, Ballistic Blades, Biotic Sphere, Smash, and Submission Net
Bonus Power Pack 2 contains: Annihilation Field, Tactical Scan, Multi-Frag Grenade, Biotic Slash, and Geth Turret

Required Files/Programs
This mod does require WarrantyVoider's DLC Patch files to be downloaded and installed in the "Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32" folder: http://www.mediafire...sr9/binkw32.rar

Download Link
Available on the NexusMods website: http://www.nexusmods...ffect3/mods/344

Install Instructions
Just drag and drop the "DLC_CON_BPPack1" and/or "DLC_CON_BPPack2" folders into your Mass Effect 3 DLC folder (Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC). :)

Q&A
1. Really? I just drag and drop this into the game's DLC folder?
Yep. :)

2. No, seriously, I don't have to fiddle with ME3Explorer or the ME3 Console at all for this to work?
Nope.

3. ... Really?
Really :)

4. How do I obtain all these new bonus powers?
The new bonus powers will automatically unlock the first time that Shepard steps foot onto the Normandy after the mods have been installed - this only needs to be done once and doesn't matter if you load a save with Shepard already on-board the Normandy or if Shepard returns to the Normandy from the Citadel or a mission. Like all regular bonus powers in the game, once the new BPs are unlocked you'll need to make another save after that in order for the new powers to become permanently unlocked in your player Profile data (which in turn allows all of your Shepards have access to the new powers).

5. Do I need any of the MP DLC installed in order to use these mods?
Nope :) you do not need to have any of the MP DLC installed in order for the Bonus Power Packs to work.

6. Are there any differences between between these new bonus powers and their previous MP versions?
- a few of the powers like Smash and Biotic Slash have slightly increased cooldowns to compensate for their power damage in SP
- any grenade power has their Rank 5A evolution, "Max Grenades", increased to 2 grenades instead of 1
- Biotic Sphere has had its overall damage reduction increased, up to a possible 100% damage reduction if the proper Rank evolutions are taken

7. Why does "Name" bonus power disappear from the MedBay terminal's power list after I purchase it?
This is standard behavior for any bonus power that comes from a DLC (including the official DLC like Leviathan/Omega/Citadel). My guess is the developers changed how DLC bonus powers appear in the MedBay terminal starting with Leviathan (and honestly, it makes sense - if you buy the power once, there's no need for it to remain in the list since you already have it). If you purchase a different bonus power, though, then the previous power will reappear under the Terminal's power list.

8. Are you going to make all of the MP powers available as bonus powers?
The short answer is, unfortunately, no. :(

The longer answer is, as much as I would like it otherwise, there's a number of MP powers that just frankly don't work well when they are ported over to SP - they either have major graphical issues (Snap Freeze is missing all particle effects and animation) or gameplay errors (Bloodlust makes you virtually unkillable) or even both (Flamer is both invisible and does no damage, Blade Armor is missing the physical armor and has a bugged 'return melee damage' effect), which keeps them from being usable for my mod.

Additionally, BioWare started hardcoding all of their MP powers data directly into the Character Kit files starting with the 4th MP DLC "Retaliation", which causes colossal problems when I attempt to use my methods of converting MP powers into SP bonus powers (10 out of 10 times the game will crash if you try to load a modified power from a Character Kit file) - unfortunately, this means that any MP power that originates from the 4th and 5th MP DLCs are not able to be converted into SP bonus powers for my mod. (which sucks, I know... I myself was hoping to have Biotic Orbs when I first started work on this mod)

9. Are you going to make any of the bonus powers from the official DLCs - Leviathan, Omega, Citadel - available in a BP Pack?
No, I am not.

This is absolutely incredible. I have 3 players I am doing. Now. Looks like I have to replay one. You are the master.

I just used the Geth Turret with my Engineer on Priority Rannoch, I downloaded the Pack right before the mission. It difficult to fight the Engineer with all their powers but with this.

I tried some of them today and they're really cool and all but it didn't really work out well with my Infiltrator. I think a lot of this is great for other Shep classes.

I play as infiltrator as well and the submission net and the tactical scan work great for me. It's just different from the normal powers

They still couldn't replace EnergyDrain/Reave/Flare for me. Submission Net tend to miss a lot. Arc Grenade is really good though.

Edit : Okay, Geth Turret is simply fantastic.

Bubble Shield makes doing Grissom Academy early on insanity SO MUCH MORE FUN for my sentinel.  Didn't die nearly as much on Eden Prime either.  Looking forward to trying out all of the powers on my current run.  :D  (My sentinel only got serious play out of marksman, now I have actual reason to switch my power out)

Fortunately, most people who are active with mods they made are moving to this new DLC mods thing. Getting the textures included was a great effort by AVPen and Kinkojiro and by mashing together most of AVPen's method and some of Kinkojiro's...basically modding got a lot easier for the end user. :)

Yep, and now that we pretty much have TPF tools working nicely with DLC mods (thanks to KFreon), combining content and texture mods never was easier.

With the other author's permission (if it can be gotten), it'd be great to try to convert all mods possible into that new 'DLC mode'....

I absolutely love you mod!

There's just one thing.. The bonus powers don't show up in the sickbay selection.

I have other DLC mods installed but I don't think they're conflicting.

What I have installed:

MEHEM

Anderson Extended Conversation

Xbox Controller for PC

Bioware DLC

This mod is freak'n awesome. I've never played multiplayer and as soon as I saw "Geth Turret" as an option, I was there. Absolutely hilarious what can be done with that thing.
