The last thread got derailed due to misconceptions of the issue and trolls, hopefully we can avoid all the SJW and equality nonsense that went on in the last thread.
For those of you not in the know Nintendo has been toying with the idea of a female version of the Hero of Time and have shown off concept art for the character in the Hyrule Warriors artbook

However one of the biggest hurdles in actually implementing such a character is that whenever the subject is brought up there seems to a large outcry from gamers who seem to believe that only a male character can wield the Master Sword.
Personally I am hoping we can avoid such issues and engage in a civil discussion on the subject, to be clear this topic as nothing to do with social justice, equality or appeasing the Feminazi menace that is here to steal your gamez away from you, it is merely a discussion about whether or not you would like to see a female protagonist in a Legend of Zelda game and what you want from such a protagonist?
I know how much you guys love mudslinging, Ad Hominem attacks and strawmen arguments but I was hoping we could keep such things to a minimum, if you have no interest in the Zelda series and are just here to use the subject as a platform to preach your bigoted views then I would kindly ask you to step out and go peruse the MLP thread, I don't invade the MLP thread to preach about how creepy it is to see grown men obsessed with a show designed for 12 year old girls so I would expect the same courtesy from you.
