Seems like a dumb and pointless idea tbh. If Link were female, it wouldn't change the basic formula at all. Lot of effort for a character whose most memorable dialogue consists of grunting.

Meanwhile, you have a great and better character in Zelda that opens up a whole new avenue for experimental game types in the franchise.

This is essentially what I, and quite a few others, have said in the OP's last attempt at trying to have this discussion. Given that Link is incapable of expressing emotions beyond sputters of shrieking and frowny facial expressions, his gender seems somewhat irrelevant in regards to his characterization and in terms of the overall presentation. It beckons certain questions -- What sort of new perspectives could it actually bring to the Zelda franchise which couldn't be achieved with a male Link? Feels less like a potentially rich story opportunity and more like pandering to the plea of political correctness.

 

I'm all for more female protagonists, in fact I've preached about it myself, but I'd prefer to get a good game out of it, the option for customization if possible, as the first and foremost priority -- So, yeah.

But the poll options are a simple yes or no, I mean I have recognized that the BSN is incapable of Satire and I have to taken on board criticisms that the 2 joke options on the last poll was triggering peoples PTSD so I kept it simple by only offering a yes or a no option yet for some reason even that is sexist? I honestly don't understand what you want? It is almost as if you are looking for reasons to be offended and play the victim card.

Yeah I am really not getting the reference and how it relates to the thread, is CIA slang for something other than Central Intelligence Agency? Really not sure what the purpose of Baneposting is supposed to be?

Well to be honest I am not sure why such a thread would be considered offensive but obviously the people here have some issue with it otherwise they would not be trying so hard to derail it.

 

While I am sure they would like me to think that they are laughing at me it really seems like more of a forced laugh that is only used as a poor cover to try and convince others that you aren't bothered by something when you really are, I am not sure how them Baneposting and posting dank memes is an indication of how silly I am, if anything it only makes themselves look like fools for trying to compensate for their lack wit by posting irrelevant and nonsensical memes that have no real relevance to anything.

Certain types of threads get derailed. Not because we're angry but because we simply can and if you mistake that for butthurt then you need to do some thinking and do some research on what butthurt means. You act like you've made everyone angry, when you really didn't. Sure, maybe a few peeps got mad and some like myself thought the thread was stupid, but that doesn't mean you trolled the entire forum.
