Only char that has talked with me more than once that actually matters is Jack.
Only constant for my team is Garrus for his Overload and sniper and he wont even talk to me again.
Playing through on a Paragon import char.

Have you done any of the loyalty missions yet? They talk a bunch during that. However, I know that I was able to chat with everyone a bit just by going after the dialogue options on the left side of the convo wheel.
Only got Jacob and Miranda's missions available, just recruited Tali, and no one else will come forward for loyalty missions or talk to me. Jack is the only repeat convo I get and I think she might turn into the romance at this point since I didnt take her up on the easy sex.

It's not like ME1, where they talk after every mission. It seems they wait 2-5 missions or something between talks. Just speak to Kelly. She'll tell you when a crew member wants to 'talk'.
Kelly dont do **** for me. Jack is always ready to talk. Grunt has gotten a repeat with rubs it in for the first 4 to join.

Doing side-missions?
Done a few. Spent way more time raping planets for resources. Got no need for anything besides a little Ezzo and Plat for weapons.

I think they need to work on how they handle ending dialog threads. Jacob and Grunt have clear indicators that you've run out of dialog and even quest options for them, with Jacob saying he's cool and will join you for drinks on the citadel after, Grunt plainly says he's got everything he needs too.
Garrus is a really bad example, he just sounds like he's busy but has more to say. Same for Samara.

You need to do the loyalty missions, otherwise noone will talk to you much. but don't worry, once they open up, there is TONS of rich dialogue.
Not really "tons".

Unless its Garrus which in my case went a bit like, "Oh, thanks for not letting me shoot that guy... I'm busy with my skulking in the gunnery room, go away." Granted when you met him it was great, oh hey its Garrus, cool, we talk, you get shot, we talk after mission and then you tell me you are busy the rest of the time.
But maybe thats because I'm playing a male character and all the dialog after the loyalty mission is for the female shep. Still, it annoyed me that Garrus was so distant and that wasn't addressed.
