I will try to keep this as objective as posible!  I have an issue concerning packages you buy to receive better guns, classes, mods ETC.

The number of packages i have bought is getting numerous. But to my great disapointment i am allways getting stuf that i already have.

Lets look at it. I buy one of those big spectre packages and get som mods, an upgrade for a weapon and a class. The problem is that its the same class i have already had a number of times, and the weapon was maxxed out arouind christmas time! There is never anything new, i still have plenty of classes and weapons to unlock but i am not getting anything. It has been like this for several months, i get quarian engineer male. A new package gives me the human female soldier. Then i get another quarian male engineer and so on.......

Its the same with weapons. I cant stop thinking how wasted the numerous hours i have wasted not getting anything exiting.

Alright, lets not paint it all dark, when i started playing multiplayer a year and a half back i got something new almost everytime and it kept going for awhile. But like i have explained, this stopped several months ago! The last class i got was a volus protector a couple of months ago. Uptil now i think the packages i have bought have given me about 6-7 more of them.

So, is this how the game is or have i missed something?

That's simply how the game works, because of how guns/classes/gear have multiple levels that you unlock. Until you completely unlock all possible levels for a given item, there's always an equal chance of unlocking an item upgrade rather than a new item entirely (of the same rarity). If you have the majority of all items of a given rarity unlocked but not at maximum level, then it's most likely that you'll continue purchase upgrades than new items.

The best way to improve your chances of unlocking the items you want are to max out each rarity sequentially. Recruit packs to unlock Commons, Veteran packs to unlock Uncommons, Spectre Packs to unlock Rares, and Premium Spectre Packs to unlock Ultra Rares (or Arsenal Packs once you've got all the Rare guns at rank 10). You can always gamble and purchase Premium Spectre / Arsenal / Reserves Packs to get the first rank unlocks for higher-rarity items, but it is not as efficient as working through the rarity levels methodically.

Edit: If your manifest wasn't private it'd be possible to make specific suggestions for you.

Thank you, i wasnt aware of this until last night when i found out what the manifest was for. I will open my manifest so that you can look, allthough now that i know how it works i probably wont need help:)

While i am at it, does some races, classes ETC make better use of certain weapons, or does it all depend on what you put in the skilltree? Cause some weapons feel awesome on some toons while some feel pretty bad!

There are no hidden bonuses to how well classes use weapons - they're all in the class power descriptions. Only a few characters have bonuses to specific weapons; namely, the Geth classes can get bonuses to Geth weapons through their class passive trees, and the Awakened Collector can get bonuses on Collector and Prothean weapons the same way. Batarians can carry extra ammo; Krogan have a higher weight capacity, and Volus have a very low weight capacity. Turians have bonus weapon stability (recoil control).

Generally though, it's more about how well a specific character synergises with a given weapon. In short, if it's a power-heavy class (eg. most Adepts) you'll want lighter guns to maximise cooldown so you cast powers in quick succession (necessary to detonate your own explosions). Classes with fewer active-ability powers (eg. one passive buff, one active power, and one grenade like the Krogan Sentinel) can afford to be more adventurous with their weapon selection since the weight will only affect the active power cooldown.

Many Gold/Platinum-tier build guides are often designed with the use of specific Rare / Ultra Rare guns/equipment in mind, but if you read through the explanations regarding why certain power evolutions are chosen, you should be able to figure out a suitable alternative.

I use the PrintScreen key and paste into an image software (e.g. MS Paint). If you have trouble doing so and only get a black screen, check here

Some tips and a cool option by editing coalesed.bin can be found here

You can also use a recording software like fraps (purchase) or MSI afterburner (freeware) for taking screenshots.

There's a free version of Fraps that makes screenies easy to take by pressing F10. Also Razer Cortex which does some other neat things as well as screenies and video capture.

Will have to try Razer Cortex. My toaster can't handle recording with MSI afterburner, maybe Razer Cortex is less power hungry. Did you test it?

I haven't tested it extensively, by which I mean I simply used the default settings and it worked ok. But the cute thing that Cortex does is to stop background processes (like Skype, Windows Update, etc etc)  when you're in game so that you get slightly better performance.

My toasters are both excessively powerful for ME3 though.

Toasters... as in more than one???  Haven't heard about Cortex although I have a Razor keyboard and mouse--have to check it out.  I really need to start filming more of my exploits.   (for comedy purposes)

OP, the RNG store, well... sucks.  It is what it is.  It's a grind but hang in there and enjoy the games you play along the way.  You WILL eventually unlock great characters and weapons.  Took me about 800 hrs to max my manifest.  The RND store will drive you nuts if you let it.  Just play, have fun, bank credits, and go on 5 Mil spending sprees. Buying in bulk seems to help.  Recruit packs to unlock characters  (you will get some you already have but you can now change the color of their light bulbs...yeah...I know); Arsenal packs for the good weapons (URs).  And if you're looking for a class that can make ANY weapon shine, it's Turians (which just so happens to be my favorite class).

Razor cortex is pretty good allthough it makes my pc crash sometimes.

Here is a few videos i recorded with it.
