Yeah... The Avvar sounds waaay too much like the AW.

 

I love that Isabela has Sera's voice, though.    And she doesn't sound too much like Sera. The voice actress got some good variety there.

I know that Tamar the Reaver is Brean of Tarth from Game of Thrones.

 

 

I do wonder though if the Inquisition Captain you have to rescue is Jon Snow, he sounds really similar.

I thought Gwendoline Christie ended up not being in DAI as was the initial rumour. Unless this is a joke and I'm missing it because I was way too excited for her to be in the thing. xD

Some of the quotes have the potential to become classics. No need to feel bad for them.

I know the community appreciates them, I just feel like not being listed properly isn't helping their careers compared to the main story actors, who don't need as much help getting jobs anyway.

 

In my version, Thornton and Skywatcher have the same actor.

There aren't different versions you know. Only one person recorded the Avvar, and it's Cillian's actor. Like other people said, he always voiced Skywatcher, but for some reason they forgot to deepen his voice like it was in SP. Shame.

 

Does anyone know if the Reaver voices the Assassin? Their  *efforts* dialogue is the same, so I wondered if that was a mistake or if they are indeed the same person. I once had a glitch where my assassin had the Templar's voice, all lines and everything. That was great! I should upload it.

As someone who loves to check out VAs I find interesting on IMDB and maybe look at some of their other work if I can, I was very disappointed with the 'Additional Voices' nonsense in the credits. I was eager to see who voiced many of the characters--some of which sounded very familiar--only to find that almost everyone had been dropped into that void of 'improper' crediting. I'd like to think, though, that if someone was actually in the market for a particular VA, they could contact Ms. Livingstone directly for the information.

 

I think part of what is confusing, for me anyway, about Skywatcher and Cillian is that they are both so upbeat. If Skywatcher was more...'broody' or something, I doubt I would've been so thrown off from the get-go.

Quite right, my bad. I've even played a bit with French dubbing but for some reason, forgot that would apply to MP.

I get what you mean, but Cillian isn't upbeat per se, he's just optimistic and compassionate. Skywatcher is hilariously upbeat though.

Reaver's VA (whoever it is) voices MANY npcs in the Hinterlands.  Widow "Get back my ring", "there are bandits in the pass" soldier, etc.  So distinct, stops me in my tracks when I hear it randomly running across Thedas.

 

Nico Lennon (Carver's va) voices Thorton. I suspect Mark Meer voices someone, but I'm not sure.

I'm 99% sure Anthony Howell (who is also Knight Captain Rylen and Gaspard) is voicing him.

Alec Newman is voicing Zither. I'm not sure about the others.

 

Thank goodness, I'm in love with Thornton's voice and was having a hard time coming to terms with him also being Carver's VA.  Gaspard's voice and the 3 or 4 times it shows up in JoH are great, one of the best voices in the game.

I kinda wish the skywatcher had a generic Scandinavian accent. Probably because of Forbrydelsen, Bron/Broen and Wallander. That, and if one of his lines was "Troels Hartmann".

At the very least, he should occasionally yell "Skyrim belongs to the Nords!".

Edit: they could get Stellan Skarsgård. He's in everything.
