When I come onto this bioware page today, a pop up ad displaying "Ad by Enormousale" appears in the lower right corner of my screen.  It gives the option to close it within like six or seven seconds, but the thing is annoying. I have Ad-Block but it can't help me stop the pop-up. Now I'm trying to follow this page to get rid of these ads by enormousale. Someone is skilled at computer and gives me some suggestions?

Having "ad-block" software on a PC is like having gunpowder-block on a firearm

ABP Works fine for me...

Anyway @OP if it's a pop up I'd be willing to bet it's malware. And a google search suggests that's the case. I'd consider doing a virus scan on your machine first.

Yeah but I don't care enough to be bombarded by them. Call me callous, but nobody's missing out on their revenue because a few hundred thousand maybe a million or two use an ad block of some sort.

Tell me more about the hit BigCorp is taking for blocking the 30 sec Sunny D add before my cat video?

It'll grow regardless. It always has. Using an ad block is the same as turning off the tv or switching the channel or muting it IMO. Just because a small percent doesn't watch or care doesn't automatically mean a drop. Chances are they wouldn't have bought it anyway. And even if they did, the increase is would be just so.

Wrong. Turning off the PC/Laptop/tablet/smartphone is the same as turning off the TV

Also; Corporations make million-dollar decisions on small percentages

You know what I mean.

Well that's their business. And not my problem.

See what I did there? :]

There are no advertisements on these forums. You probably have malware on your computer.

I don't use adblock - and I don't find it necessary, but do have an antivirus that stops shady websites from installing stuff on your PC that then makes these kind of popup appear.
