I wasn't interested in a reboot/remake/sequel to the Mad Max movies. I haven't heard anything since the original announcement that has changed that, so it's very doubtful that I'll ever see it.
Nooooooo Mad Max WHyyyyy

Eh, wasn't gonna see this move anyway..but the implications are somewhat concerning. What? In the next Bioware game in the character creator screen if you choose a male protag you have to sit through an unskippable 5 min video telling saying your worse than the devil?

Bioware or rather EA are not that stupid. Alienating more than 1/2 of their potential customers to fulfill agendas...Who is going to be buying all those microtransactions crap and DLCs and what have you ?
The only real harm that Bioware will do is make their games less and less like a game and more like an interactive movie with very little or simplistic combat and then calling it "strategy", "tactics" and "4x8 is 32 and that's enough"

one of these days people will look back at how dumb all this female chest-beating is and realize whats important is to care about each other as a whole instead of picking who we care about based on gender.

Oooh!
Thanks for the heads-up! Saw the trailer and thought "Yep, this ain't for me." Can honestly say I'm happy to have been proven wrong!
I'll make sure to see it when its out in the theater where I am!

You do realize that pretty much everything is political? Politics = literally anything that relates to the society as a whole. Even when you do something that is "not political", you are (most probably) reinforcing the societal status quo, and even in that case you have created something political.
And, even when a movie is overtly political, it hasn't stopped it from being (viewed as / celebrated as) great. Rambo-movies? Most Pentagon-financed American war movies you've seen in your life? The Terminator franchise? Does hearing that there are people who find the first Alien movie great just because they consider Ripley their feminist hero make you enjoy Alien any less?

So Furiosa kicks a lot of ass. Was Aliens a feminist movie because Ripley and Vasquez kicked ass?
Why yes. Yes it was. Only the fems won't admit it because the writers didn't need them to write a strong character who is female.
Also, Die Hard is a Christmas film. Get with the times man.

I think Jonathan McIntosh's head is going to explode when he reads this, he was so determined to hate this movie.

When was the last good remake of an '80s film?
I wanted to say Dredd, but that was a remake of a 1995 movie.
