So, I think most of us know that Shepard's service number is 5923-AC-2826. But what about the rest? Also, what do the numbers mean? What does AC stand for?
I really need this piece of info for an AU and for the custom dog tags I'm about to order.
P.S. I tried to compare it to various service numbers from various countries and I have found nothing.

Alternating Current?
Air Canada?
Ok, more seriously, how about Alliance Commander? Or Alliance something else..
I have no idea and I don't think the numbers have any great significance. BW probably just made them up and thought: "Whatever"

Random numbers and letters most likely. Some even argued that the Alliance ranks themselves do not make sense (compared to the US army or navy for example), forgetting this is a fictional military in a fictional universe.
