Since I haven't purchased ME2 & I've not got the right the post in ME2 forum so I've put this up here.
I'm wondering about the new ammunition mechanism in ME2.
As far as I understood, the ammunition used in ME world was a particle generated by the weapon, and therefore there was no need to reload.
Now I'm reading from others on the ME2 forum that this is no longer the case.
So how does it work now in ME2? Do you get ammo magazines, or is it running on some sort of finite battery that needs to be replaced?
You can loot ammunition from enemies or boxes. I've also heard people talking about an overheating system, but I've played for a few days, and I've never had my weapon overheat as far as I know, might only be possible on higher difficulties or something like that, not sure.
It works great in my opinion, and forces you to use other weapons than just your weapon of choice if you run out of ammo in a battle. I think it's an improvement, but the majority appears to disagree.
