Thanks to the Great Lull between the fourth and fifth Blights, Thedas was finally given the time needed to advance in technology. Skyward buildings replaced the castles, paved concrete replaced the cobblestone streets, and the Imperial Highway is now a high-speed rail system that travels above and below ground throughout Thedas. There's electricity and running water. Cell phones. Warriors weild guns, rogues are sniper extraordinnaires, but magic--as it always will--remains the same.
