Looked like a pretty standard AC game - although some new gameplay mechanics look quite interesting (rope launcher, using environment),

No multiplayer (so they focus on SP) and two protagonists also sound interesting. Almost like they're learining from their mistakes.

Although my expectations are not very high - I'm waiting for the reviews on this one.

I haven't even played Unity and Rogue yet.

Neither have i. It just seems to me that the game doesn't have much of an identity or a specific atmosphere to define it. I remember when i first played black flag and how it stunned me that even the modern story arch had a specific and amazing atmosphere, I really liked Abstergo Entertainment. Even Edward's memories had a specific aura to them as well. Eventhough the story wasn't solid, The game stood out as a really good game because of that specific feature and because of the amazing characters. Unity and  Rogue were just hollow, I have seen the endings of both games and have read the plot and watched several gameplay videos, But they just didn't seem to interest me. Syndicate seems to be going down the line of mediocrity.

Well, Unfortunately, It won't be pharaohic. They said it won't be set in the age of pharaohs. But the Pyramids aren't going anywhere though. :D

All Assassin's Creed play the same and there is little change in their direction of gameplay and artstyle. The last change that was notable was the transition from the first game to second. Since then, no change, half of them even use the same engine, hell they even recycle animations with all the protagonists standing exactly like ****** Altair from the first god-damn game! lol

And seriously what's up with the hoodie? You'd think that a gang of assassins would operate by blending in with their time rather than standing out in the crowd by looking like that fedora wearing emo kid who stands in the corner of the playground at school. Also you'd have thought the templars would know what assassins look like by now by their trademark hood and symbol. I just find the whole concept they've got going quite silly now.

Hopefully it's just a big of a mess as Unity. If anything good can come from this recycled tosh it's some hilarious bugs and entertaining backlash. AC is pretty much the Call of Duty of the action-adventure genre just with a more ridiculous plot that nobody cares for.

AC: Black Flag > Any other AC. :P

Plus, You just had to bring fedora up, Didn't you? :D

Huh, well it would be cool if they brought back the First Civilization storyline in a really big way, such as Minerva and Juno being integral to the creation of the pyramids themselves.

Yup. Well, Eventually, I think they will use many of the ancient Egyptian gods such as Osiris, Isis "Not the ISIS you're thinking of" :D, Raa, Horus, ... etc, As it's as you have stated, A chance to get the ancient civilization storyline back to the main story. But the setting of the game will most likely be in the 1500s as I've read in a interview before.

They are!

Have you ever seen how the female body looks as it falls from the top of a city's tallest building?

Wait... don't answer that...

No. Why have you I wonder? :P

Nice to have a Victorian setting though,

I mean that hasn't been done in a game for a long time has it  ;)

Well if the year is 1868 it's about thirty years too early for Moriarty to show up.

I always liked the AC games take on multiplayer.

Until they added co-op.

God, what number is Ubisoft on now? I can still remember when there was only 2 Assassin's Creed game and I thought the series had so much potential.

Also not a fan of London. I live in London and think England is way too overused. The protagonist seems to be another Ezio/Edward. We ever going to get a main woman protagonist in these games? You know, to spice the series up.

If had to make an assumption, if the female Assassin in this game gets well received they make an AC game with a main female protagonist

Hopefully in Japan or Egypt

Definitely skipping that one. 2 and Black Flag are the only AC games I truly enjoyed. I'm done with this recycled single-player CoD.

Plus, isn't the Victorian, steampunk-ish setting being done a lot these days? Dishonored, Thief, The Order, probably a few that I forgot.

Assassin's Creed: Victory? More like Defeat, amirite?

Anyway, my poor attempts at humor aside, I do like the premise but I'm not in any particular rush to crave this game, considering I have yet to tackle Black Flag and Unity. But I'll add this one to the list that I will most likely get, at some point in the future.

Skip unity and play Rouge. It was the better of the two anyway. Less Face-Melty, more ship battles.

The only issue I could see with a female protagonist in Japan is the cultural view on women at the time.

Which of course would spur even more outrage about the whole topic.

I can't comment on Egypt because we don't know what the time period would be.

It's not like victorian England was a time of great womens rights and progressive thoughts on gender equality. Or mass-public cleanliness.

Didn't stop any of the previous AC games from having model-esque protags walking around in pure white clothes, when those clothes should have been **** brown by the time they finished running and fighting in those mud-and-****-covered streets. :P

Well, you're suppose to be assassin who's job is to hide and be all stealthy (even though AC games are hardly stealthy) so I doubt the average person in japan would even know they have a female assassin running around.

How about Assassin's Creed during the 60's with the women's lib in full swing with free love and hippies everywhere.

The solution works a little like plot armor...

There would be too many mandatory sex scenes.

Assassin's Creed to surpass Call of Duty as rpg of the year?

Not in a million years.
