I'm not saying that London is totally horrible and unplayable, it's certainly not the case, but I also can't say I love that map
Not a favorite of mine either but they do have really friendly nade boxes.

I usually wait at the exact center of the map between waves.
I wait either on the top "balcony" or behind that big crate near the ammo box in the center on the map. Yes, the scrub spots ![]()
Lol.
My favorite is when you're disabling and cloaked and they stand right beside you so you take splash damage and have all the aggro as soon as cloak breaks.
I do love the Paladins who come and try to shield my Infiltrator doing the objectives. It's a nice gesture I think! I'm a knight in shining armor! I'll block those Scion shots for you! "squad-mate down" ![]()

I always wait where the enemies are most likely to get LoS on me as soon as possible.
Because, you know... That means I get LoS on them too ![]()

Inside the little room with the stairs going up to the bridge, looking across the center towards the extraction zone. Unless someone is running around stupidly, it will usually cause the enemies to spawn at the far end of the street just around the two corners, whereupon you can wreak havoc on them as they try to get to you. If you had one or two people on the bridge overlooking the center spawn behind the crate, you're save from getting flanked until the spawns switch to the extraction zone spawn point.
Unless I remember the spawns wrong, like I said, been quite some time since I last played ME3 MP.

Devices and hack locations are pretty awful (to say the least), but otherwise London is one of my favorite maps.
Almost completed my first gold solo there the other day (vs. Collectors). The 2nd floor is awesome.
I like the map.
Especially love it against collectors (more than most maps with collectors). Things can go wrong so fast that it's amazing fun to play.
I personally can't stand Glacier. Way too fast, spawn points are too easy to dictate and nuke, and the close quarters means you have to kill fast or die. Really annoying tbh.
I don't mind London and even start to like Condor. Objectives can get a little bit tricky but with a decent team that's not really a problem.
I absolutely loathe Rio though.
No, no, no. Hold the line! Turian the barricades! Mind the gap!
Now I almost feel like setting up a Reapers/Condor/Gold lobby, go in as Phaeston Turian Soldier, and see how many players go with the lore and switch to either (preferably Fat) Turians or Krogans. In memory of Primarch Fedorian!
The operative word in the above being "almost": Condor is definitely my least liked map gameplay-wise.
I am 100% with OP on this one. The layout of London will inevitably get me into a state of permaflank...especially against swarming arsewipe bugs. I've only had that location go smoothly with a powerhouse lobby (e.g. my recent run with BioticPulse)...meanwhile I've wiped with MULTIPLE fairly decent PUG teams.
Condor is no breeze for me either, but I can typically manage its layout instinctively. I do much worse on London or even Goddess. Again this is strictly from a situation/position mgmt standpoint.
Once I see the London LZ upon deployment, it goes: f-bomb, deep breath, all the f-bombs, watch gels melt away, followed by more quiet & dejected f-bombs upon wiping.

OP, is this your alt profile?
It's a bit dreary. But I like how you can get a spot of tea during the hacks.
I think on London the big crate opposite to the bacony (the other side of the map with the ammo box) is the best spot. Pugs usually run up to the balcony, so enemies spawn at the long arms of the cross, and with a bit of a move you can get RHA from there in both direction.

It's fine.
Rio on the other hand...

This is, in fact, the one map location that I've been able to hold down with another PUG. Of course until we get pushed out and...well...sh*tstorm gauntlet time.

Ugh!!

This. It's my go to spot when things start to get hairy.
I was going to start a topic like this too. I'm no fan of London myself. The level is one boring super flat massive stage with not much interesting design for all the kits and setups in this game. At least Condor is huge with lots of elevation and shortcuts and open in just the right way for a very large stage.
Best stages are ones like Ghost, Dagger, Condor, and Goddess. So these are the only stages that always guarantee a great time no matter how not in the mood to play I may be.
Stages like the Reactor bore me mostly how it looks, but kind of don't like it because it feels too separate in that it sometimes feels like it takes to much running around looking for enemies.
Vancouver is ok, I guess, just really wish that massive ladder in the middle was thee exception in ladder climbing speed or if it should of been a teleporter? So much wasted time with that ladder and it's a key piece that joins what is otherwise a perfect circle stage.
Rio is too long with weird spawn points.
Giant if fine enough but overplayed and I don't like that most like to hang around the LZ instead of the control room is they choose to camp.
Hydra feels fine enough too but makes way more sense from a Volus perspective with him having so much more hard cover around the LZ then he other kits. ... Also, it sucks landing on this map to find players abuse the off map glitch. Sure sign that I bail ASAP when I see this.
The maps that are fine are; Glacier, White, and Jade. The first two are overplayed a bit, while Jade is just a well designed map, just pretty tough (tougher then Condor, that's for sure).
