I have spent over 2 million. Still missing the 200 hp belt. I have about 550k saved up now but I am too lazy shop.

Obviously there are several weapons I am missing, especially staves, but the introduction of Dragon weapons made them all obsolete.

Obviously there are several weapons I am missing, especially staves, but the introduction of Dragon weapons made them all obsolete.

 

This is mostly true except for the dragon 1h longsword and shield:  these kind of suck.  Caliban is (still) better.  And just about any shield you choose from random in your inventory is better than the dragon shield.

306k spent.  I have a cooldown amulet, 2 hok rings, longbow of the griffon, punched by the maker, fist of the magister, red birth, walking death, and some misc accessories (ring of stagger/attack/flanking/ap, sunder belt, con amulet).  I'm primarily looking for iron.  A good staff, shield, 2h weapon, a better 1h weapon, health belt, a stamina amulet, and cloth could be nice too I guess.

 

edit: 330k now.  Got a dragon maul, dragon staff, and sulevin blade within 24 hours of each other.

Almost everyone seems to have forgotten the dragon items. Aren't unique dragon weapons now the best in slot, with maybe a few exceptions?

Just to give some perspective. I asked on the twitch stream to clarify the loot score. Luke stated that the score is determined by 'items looted' and the top tier is at 1300 items. Assuming you never get loot from a single treasure room and only buy large chests you have that in 312k gold. I'd assume that most people here are sitting in that top bucket. I'm glad it's being revised.

That's the thing, and I think it may be the case for many of us.  We seem to get certain items over and over while other items elude us. 

 

The coding needs to keep track of gold spent vs items received, and make +/- adjustments at certain levels to ensure players are able to eventually receive all items. 

 

Anyhow, I know they are looking into it, and hopefully the greater drops we are receiving now will also encompass those elusive items per player (no, not that darned Elusive Ice Bow which I have receive many of BW ).

So far I have found 50 stamina amulet, 10% cooldown amulet, 2x axe of marches, staff of the void, dragon shield, 30% frost resistance belt, and griffon bow. Pretty happy about that, but I really really need new daggers. Sigh.

I guess dragon items wouldn't come up much in this thread because we're talking about amount of gold spent without getting certain items rather than number of perilous dragons killed without getting dragon loot.

 

Having loot to look forward to is fun for me.  Each BiS item I get makes opening chests a little less exciting, so I'm not too worried about getting the dragon items asap.

I don't know how much gold I've spent off the top of my head, but I have over three hundred hours played thus far, and I have yet to get a single HoK ring. Yet my wife, has gotten two, despite playing the MP for about half as long as I have. Blarghity blargh blargh blargh

I'm sorry to everyone that's having problems getting staves but I am sick of getting 5 or 6 copies of the 5 or so top tier staves that are all annoyingly the same with a different element and weird proc. I really don't need any more thanks I got fury of the veil 6 months ago and really never use any of these.

That is the one thing I miss, now having the Staff of the Dragon; I don't get Veil Strike procs since I'm no longer using Fury of the Veil. Though, I imagine the staff with the Chain Lightning proc would be even more fun, particularly when it procs off of Chain Lightning!

Pretty straight forward, how much gold have you collected, and what items are you still looking for. Personally, I've spent around 600k and still looking for pyre of the forgotten, caliban, 10% hok, thunderstruck, Mage hunter, and of course Sulivan Blade.

Has the community come up with a good number on how much gold is needed to unlock everything?

A lot of you guys really need a few bones thrown your way. Thr RNG in this game is about as forgiving as a Korean MMO.
