The funny thing is, whilst I'm known amongst my peers for being very positive, it's not because I'm a positive person at all. I'm actually pretty cynical about life as it is, with most of my seemingly funny nature being me laughing at how chaotic, cruel or disappointing whatever person/situation at the moment is/was, the rest of my seemingly funny nature is me laughing because getting angry or depressive doesn't serve/help anything, like that one time the disaster emergency agency came rolling in because the railways were broken on the 24th December as I was travelling home to visit my family over christmas. Weather was cold, alternating between rain and snow and the busses that were supposed to ferry us to the next trainstation where we'd board a train to proceed again where stuck in a traffic jam, so we had to wait hours in the open (small trainstation that didn't have enough room for everyone to stay inside).

 

I was amusing myself the whole time with jests against the railway company (who just happened to have replaced all those rails just two months ago (or so they said at least) and now they broke!), shared my little mother survival pack of cookies with others standing in the cold (turns out, many people had many cookies with them ). When I saw the disaster emergency truck rolling in, I totally lost it and laughed my ass off so hard I could barely keep standing. It was so ridiculous, laughing was the only logical reaction.

 

I even caught the interest of a girl who was amazed at how positive/jovial I was the whole time despite all of it, shame we ended up on different busses when they finally arrived an hour later or so.
