Then where are they in the games?
They are not there. But different ethnicities apparently exist in the world of The Witcher (Zerrikania, Zangwebar, Ofir, Haakland etc.) but are just not present on the Western part of the continent.

So you're planning to become celibate then? Because sex is a natural part of life.
Also most people who played Witcher 3 had already played the previous games, hence they know how much the naked woman in Witcher 3 means to Geralt.
Same with Witcher 2. These aren't just random hook-ups he picked up.

No, I plan to get married first.
Then why did they have to show a sex scene to "establish how much this character means to Geralt"? As I said there are other ways to do so, especially with how promiscuous Geralt can be.
Key word is CAN. Not must or does.
You can literally go throughout the games by sleeping with only Triss and Yen.
And yes it is. It's one of the ways. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it wrong.
And maybe I don't want to sleep with Triss or Yen. For how much people praise how you can establish Geralt's personality, there sure are a lot of constraints.
I never said it wasn't. I said there are more effective ways.
Then where are they in the games?
Ask CDPR. They chose not to put them in for whatever reason.
not in the same way you're thinking of, unless you include Spaniards and the Portuguese in that
Fair enough on that. They showed up more in the Renaissance period, though the Witcher franchise, or at least Witcher 3, has quite a bit of the Renaissance look in it. So if it takes place in the future of that game it can be possible.
Hanako's demisexual.
Well thats perfect for the relationship between Geralt and Yen.
Their whole relationship is based on deep feelings.

That's what I'm saying. I know they exist, but you haven't seen any throughout the trilogy. If they just aopear out of the blue, then i need to know how and why.
They can always have NPCs of those ethnicities appear in the game as well, along with a brief explanation of how they came to be there.

no, it is all based on a genie wish

They already established that in the previous game.

I would love to tell you more, but that would involve spoilers and I don't know how far you are in the game.

given how the Northern Kingdoms are violently anti-nonhuman, anti-mage, andti-Nilfgaard, anti-anything really
said explanation would probably be a notice in front of their hanged body
Zerrikanians are dark complected.

Before or after they became sexually intimate?
Hanako isn't against sex, but against sex before marriage.
I wouldn't say I'm against it, since people can do what they want as long as it doesn't bring pain to others.
I'd just prefer it being an option in games rather than mandatory.
They already established that in the previous game.
I know they did. Hence me saying they didn't need to start the later games with a sex scene to reestablish that.

Its a bit more complicated than that, but before.
But I can tell you that the relationship between Geralt and Yennefer is one of the best and complicated relationships out there.

Eh, that's matter of opinion though. I honestly don't think DA:I is anywhere near one of their best games. It's a decent game, but I honestly don't see my self re-playing it like the other two. As for Skyrim, it's different. TES is a wonderful series with great lore, if a bit elusive at times. One of my problems with Bioware right now is that they saw the success of Skyrim and thought "If we make our worlds bigger and full of misc. quests, it'll be more popular!"
It worked for Skyrim, where most people played it in first person, the game was designed to have somewhat realistic environments, didn't need you to gather "power" for the main quest, and didn't import game saves.
DA:I was decent at best in my opinion, but at least they didn't have any huge, glaring issues like ME3 or DA2's caverns. Although to be honest, it wasn't really their fault with DA2.
Its a bit more complicated than that, but before.

Weren't there witch hunts about how sexual orientations don't define someones personality on this forum?
Nobody is doing this, so why do you ask?
Sex is part of Geralt's life. We can't change that. If they chose sex as the method, then we gotta roll with the cards that were dealt.
I know. But since this is a feedback thread, I am giving feedback that this is something I don't want in future CDPR games or for Bioware to emulate.
You have to remember that there are people who never even played the first two games. So they have no clue.
I know. I'm just saying there are other ways to show that. Ways that in my opinion would even better show those feelings.
Its a bit more complicated than that, but before.

I have to admit, you have me curious.
...
Did I just say that about a Witcher game? Bad Hanako.

Not for Geralt, he'll pretty much screw anyone if they offer.
I have to admit, you have me curious.
That's good! You should definitely check out some info on it when you have the chance.
I sadly don't know the whole story since I've never read the books, but I do know some of it.

That really depends on the player and I believe it has been kinda over-exaggerated by some people ever since the first game.
Your sexual encounters in the game are mostly by your own choice (minus the "canon" romances with Yen and Triss).
Even in the books, Geralt is rather prude and will not give in unless said woman will literally throw herself at him.
Just because you have the option to screw 12 women in the game, does not mean you should.
You know, I kinda like how people have been pretty much keeping it in a polite manner (give or take) for about 120 pages so far.
Decent discussion, feedback, opinions.. some snarky responses here and there but it doesn't seem to discourage those affected.
Meanwhile, the other two Witcher threads in Feedback and Scuttlebut don't seem to be doing so well and it's a hater after hater piling up in there. Those threads probably need more Natashina. ![]()
