given how the Northern Kingdoms are violently anti-nonhuman, anti-mage, andti-Nilfgaard, anti-anything really
said explanation would probably be a notice in front of their hanged body
That you don't see other ethnicities here just shows they were smart enough to stay out of a bad situation ...

Nat's the GOAT.
I have no idea what that means but I agree wholeheartedly.

Not for Geralt, he'll pretty much screw anyone if they offer.
Not in my game he doesn't ...

Mine certainly didn't. He was blue balling it for a straight 60 hours of play time until he finally got back with Yennefer.

That's good! You should definitely check out some info on it when you have the chance.
I sadly don't know the whole story since I've never read the books, but I do know some of it.
I tried reading the books since I love to read, but I had to stop after a while. The games look like they are filled with rainbows and unicorns compared to some of the things that happen in the books.
I have no idea what that means but I agree wholeheartedly.
GOAT = Greatest Of All Time.

I'll never understand why non humans choose to live in human cities, settlements et al. If there is any group of people who need to live like the Dalish it is the nonhumans in TW verse. I do wonder how it is in the other parts of the world, between humans and nonhumans. Hopefully the next Witcher game will take us there.
And my Geralt remained faithful to Triss. Although he did get his Unicorn sex. But my canon is that Geralt did this before finally getting back with Triss.
I will say that a big compliant I have concerning TW3 is how the romances are structured, especially the Triss romance and her absence later on in the story. The next time I play, which won't be until some story dlcs come out or the mod kit is released, I'll have to hold off on the Triss content for as long as I can so she doesn't seem so...invisible. The game practically screams "Yen is your one true wuv!!!" ![]()

Yeah, I didn't mean as you're against sex before marriage in general, but for yourself. I should've worded it differently.I wouldn't say I'm against it, since people can do what they want as long as it doesn't bring pain to others.
I'd just prefer it being an option in games rather than mandatory.
I know they did. Hence me saying they didn't need to start the later games with a sex scene to reestablish that.

Congratulations on completely missing the point... as usual.
Unlike you I actually want the DA franchise to improve not stagnate.
The condescending tone needs to turn down a notch. Yes there are things both companies can take away from each other and I agree with "We want both things to improve."
But he provided a good example of bioware writing. They are capable of it as can be seen in small doses. It just so happens, for small cases, for me at least, that it was apparent. I wanted more Cole like moments. I did get some.
Like when IB introduces you to a group of inquisition grunts as not the inquisitor. That situation imo was spot on! Again need more of it!
I personally hope bioware makes more quests that feel more impressionable on the player character when it isn't directly tied to the main story like CDPR did. Along with a few other environmental details. It's there, somehow, little instances prove so.

The ambient music and more prominent sound effects (leaves rustling, wind blowing, windmills creaking, etc...) in TW3 went a long way for one. The near dead silence in DA:I was one of the things that made it feel so...well, dead to me.

Was in DAI the other day, and the ambient sound had dogs barking, and lots of other sounds one expected/ noticed. Perhaps this problem is based on Settings or other sound related tech?

Yeaaahhhhh... I'm weird. Saw her as a kid, saw her as a daughter figure. Even though I'm not Geralt, even my rl ogre self cannot get into that mind set.

BioWare should look at stuff like side-content quality, world design, choice and consequence, and arguably narrative that are superior as a matter of design and resource investment.
This can be done without trying to be a thematic clone or dropping some of DA's differentiating features like a custom PC or a party so I find it a little disingenuous when people bring up their dislike of TW setting or Geralt as if it all that relevant to the discussion.

It does have ambient noise, just go on youtube and watch some no commentary videos and for the hinterlands you'll hear:
1) a constant low humming wind noise
2) birds
3) footsteps/horse steps
4) dogs barking/people talking (near people obviously)
5) occasional music
Load up a no commentary video of the white orchards in TW3 during the day and you'll hear:
1) a variable/more natural wind noise that picks up and slows down
2) if you're near tall grass you'll hear a higher pitched wind noise
3) birds near
4) birds far
5) footsteps/horse steps
6) wolves far
7) pretty steady amount of music
8) objects creaking (trees/windmills/etc.)
9) people talking/crying/etc. (near people obviously)
I think it's the small touches like mixing audio for distant noises as well as stuff like tall grass and creaking that adds a lot, also having better background music. I think having ups and downs helps make things feel more alive too.

I can freely admit that I was kinda crushing on her since the books.
Or shipping her with Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach. The Nilfgaardian who claims he's not a Nilfgaardian.
Same thing.

People said: we want a more open world like Skyrim.... And people complained that DAI is too open.
Yeah, take a look at what's been done but in the end (to paraphrase from West Wing): Let Bioware be Bioware.

I can try to understand that.. but.. There's also something that bothers me! She's way too erm.. Perfect? Too much power, too much.. everything, going good for her.
