So yes, most of the place we run across in DAI do feel more like stages then feeling like your apart of the world. In Witcher 3, well, hands down I was amazed by the size of places and how much detail was involved from the town/city to the people. Granted the Emperor's Castle was a bit lack -luster, but I am willing to ignore that since the rest of the game was so involved when it comes to making you feel like this world is alive. Walking past a drunk in a city and seeing him unzip his pants to take a p*ss, the developers of The Witcher 3 certainly left nothing out, LOL!
Yes, the level of detail in TW3 is unreal.
I dont know if others notice this, but I was walking in White Orchid near the inn and suddenly the dude walking in front of me stopped to rub his foot on the ground, I took a closer look and notice that there are actually poo on the ground and he just stepped on it.
I have been pretty careful where I place my foot since.
For those pissing busta, I walked around a tree once and find myself being showered by a soldier taking a leak!!!! Then he farted and laughed. Grrrr....
These are tiny things, ambients but I cant help but feel that CDPR put more effort into these ambient events than most modern game developers put in their side quests.

Also, the order where you choose conversation options will sometime yield different response as well and it just makes them feel so much more organic.
