Agree DAO's marketing music was bad. But the diff is that MM is known where I come from, whereas we just don't listen to country music at all. Only one I know that came sort of errr listened to was Dolly Parton's Joline, which they pretty much make fun of. Heck, I haven't even heared of Johnny Cash till I joined bsn.

Anyone playing TW3 on 4k? What's it like graphic/fps/lag-wise?
This may not be technically what you are asking, but I use Nvidia's DSR (Dynamic Scaled Resolution) and I have tried setting it to 4K with the matching in-game resolution.
I get less than 30FPS with my GTX 970, but WOW the visual difference, up from 1080 resolution is significant!
In order to get a good framerate however, I have my resolution set to 3K instead and with my card overclocked slightly, I am getting 45-50 FPS, which I think is a reasonable trade-off. Still looks fantastic.
The thing wtih higher resolutions, even if you can only get to double the default 1080, is that it virtually illiminates aliasing (jagged edges). Fine details like tree branches and foliage look absolutely superb, as do everything else of course.
I am however in the process of building a new PC which will consist of a MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard, 850Watt power supply, i7 4790K CPU and my trusty MSI GTX 970. I expect to get better performance from that new setup...

Except for the power supply, I have the same setup and my video card is OCed to 1500MHz. Dont think you can squeeze any significant amount of FPS out of that GTX 970
- I find that the video card is the bottleneck.
And yes, DSR makes the game looks absolutely stunning because it smooths out the overly sharp texture (imo) in TW3.

I have absolutely no idea. I don't even know what it sounds like - the Dukes theme. I just know of the show.

He was music, once. Ketamine, coke and absinthe are bad for you, kids.
I got out of his music after about 2002.

The music choice in the new Mass Effect reveal killed it for me. I left unimpressed and dissappointed. Even annoyed

I couldn't stop laughing when someone sent me that commercial. I own Holywood and considering the song is all about making fun of "harcore" and "edgy" products (like TV shows, games and music,) it was bad. EA not only decided to use Marilyn Manson for a sword n sorcery fantasy game, but used a song that is all about making fun of people trying to be edgy.
Wasn't the song they used "This is the New (Stuff)"? That was the album after Holywood, innit.

I'm not a Johnny Cash fan, but the music selection worked for me in the new MEA trailer. It was something unexpected, and was kind of cool.
I'll have to look the MM DAO trailer up, just out of curiosity later. Not really a MM fan either saw him live at a music festival once, and that was enough.

Hah true. Trailer music never sways me. I don't think it's a big deal at all, but obviously some do. I don't get it, but there it is.

Crawling on all fours? Anyway I don't recall stating that it was simple for either the warden or the inq. I simply (<) stated that the warden did't have to appeal anything to the landsmeet. As soon as he/she is through the door it can only go the wardens way. You can of course use diplomacy if you are so inclined.
I remember being betrayed by Anora at the Landsmeet.
Oops... Didn't see that coming...

Theres some really nice screenshots on the official forum at 4k with Reshade/ini tweaks.

Edit: According to the prima guide, Witcher 3 has a total of 201 quests in the main story and side included. 228 if you include monster contracts. Really impressive especially in an open world setting that isn't restricted by power mechanics forcing you to do inane side activities. There is no reason Bioware cant produce similar quality (and quantity) of content with a bigger budget.

Even the monster contracts have a story to them in that game, actually. That is impressive. Plain and simple.

It's not really about budget, it's more budget management, task management, cheap labor and ungodly hours of work. I'll be curious to see if anybody matches what CDPR did in the next decade, much less Bioware.
Procedurally generated content may be the way forward though.

Listened to the first thirsty seconds of the ghost riders song and scratched at my head. Were they trying to go for a "Firefly " esque feel ? Did not ever get that feeling from mass effect.
Probably. Bioware are obsessed with Firefly. Each new BW game that is announced I play a game where I try to guess which cast member from Firefly or Torchwood will play a character in the game.

I forgot Buffy! If it isn't Torchwood or Firefly then it's someone who was in Buffy.
