Yeah they also had that since the first game.

I thought it was so interesting then. When it rained NPCs ran for cover

Weather effects and day/night cycles are a great addition to an RPG, no doubt about it. Also when it comes to the monsters you fight, makes sense that some only come out at night.

Well probably there isn't going to be new game+  in their upcoming patch 1.07.

As some of you may know, we are finishing up work on our next big patch, Patch 1.07. It’s a very large update introducing some key changes, including:

- A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.

- A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player's map.

- Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.

- Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.

- A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.

- Various improvements to horse behavior.

- Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.

- Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be "pinned", meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.

- Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.

Since it's been all hands on deck working to finish and release this patch on time, we won’t be publishing a free DLC this week (don’t worry - free content comes back next week). We hope you understand our decision. We’ve gathered so much feedback from you over the past couple of weeks and we want to implement as much of it as possible. The full change list for the patch 1.07 will be coming later this week. Stay tuned for info about the release of the update itself.

Man, NG+ had me all excited. Hopefully, it will come soon. Maybe it will be part of one of the expansions?

Anyhow, it's really hard to be upset about it when you see how CDPR is treating us. They're my new favorite uncle who spoils me. It's like they read my mind and decided to fix everything I wanted to be fixed. This is how a company should treat it's fans.

Any idea when the patch is coming? Hope soon.

Yeah, I have sold quite a few myself, but tonight I am going to scour the country and find those merchants and buy my trophies back. I shall have a chest full of rotting heads at last! It's a sweet life being a witcher.

Improvements to horse behavior - does this mean I can finally do races properly now? YES.

I also hope Geralt doesn't die from dropping two feet down anymore. This is the first time I'm actually genuinely excited for a patch  :D

NG+ is coming but not necessary in patch 1.07.:) there are bigger fish to fry for CDPR at the moment.

That armor looks so cool. I notice it kinda looks like Lambert's

That's master version of wolf school armor, which should be similar to lambert'a armor. P.S. lambert's armor is from Witcher 2

Off topic.

Something just occured to me and I got a probably silly question but I got to ask. Most bioware games is subjected to this most annoying drm. Will this be the same if you ordered tw3 from origin too? If this is the case I wonder if I should cancel it from there and buy it elsewhere before it gets credited after download.

Witcher 3 doesn't have DRM on it's own but you still need to use Origin or Steam if you buy it through them and the origin and steam clients are a form of DRM. If however you buy from GoG.com (CDPR's distribution service) then you can play with GoG Galaxy (GoG's client) Which has no DRM but does have achievements if thats your thing, easy access to patches and free DLC, or you can delete Galaxy from your computer and still play Witcher 3 without any trouble.

But I'm a little confused, I didn't know you could buy the PS4 version from Origin? Or did you buy a pc and ps4 version? I'm not sure at all how console DRM works, I know some games you need to register somewhere to your account but I've been a PC gamer since the 360 came out. Everything in the first paragraph I know for sure applies to the PC version of the game, PS4 version I'm not sure.

So yes. Be more like The Witcher.

Patch the game BEFORE spamming DLC and MP gambling packs.

Given CDPR's comments of more Triss romance and other content which is not originally planned, I suspect a EE is coming for TW3 properly before those two expansion packs.

Storage Chest and crafting items have no weight

Patch 1.07 - http://forums.cdproj...o-all-platforms!

No DLC this week though

As funny as it sounds, I for one am super excited about this upcoming patch. Granted no free DLC this week, but considering what is coming with the patch, I do not mind one bit.

I'm a major hoarder on games like these; especially with alchemy ingredients, I welcome the zero weight and the storage.  Oh and thank goodness about the books too -that was driving me bonkers not knowing which I have read and which I have not.

Wonder what this new movement control is? Had no issues with the controls on PC so am curious. Seems to apply to all platforms too.

Also very excited about NG+ and the upcoming added content for Triss. I'm team Yen but will replay to get some different content. Will probably play this game as much as I played DAO, which was an embarrassing amount of times.

Wait, what if the new movement control is a pause function for Elhanan, lol?

Still will pass, but it will mark a major hurdle moving forward.

Lol. But in all seriousness, I'd welcome a pause function if it opened the game to people who can't play it (and would want to). That would be a Good Thing.

Doesn't Witcher 3 already have that slow down time thing? Doesn't that partially count?

Time is slowed when you access the radial menu allowing you to switch signs or pick bombs, and when you aim the crossbow. But I'd say it's still a game where quick reflexes to dodge/parry are required.

And it will always be one. Adding a pause function would be absolutely useless, enemies will still attack fast and swarm, you'll still be able to get stun locked and archers will still shoot at you off-screen.

Not always; believe there was pause in the first game.

I think it's the Blizzard potion Rinnz was talking about. Slows time by a lot. I think thats the potions name.

The difference between The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2 is night and day. The only thing pause was really useful for was checking buffs and switching styles mid-combat.

A hint: press jump button, just before landing, when you're falling. Geralt will roll, and not take any damage (unless you jump from really high places).

I'm not sure why they don't mention that in Kear Morhen tutorial, a lot of people encounter this problem.

This is true. I have jumped off really high things and rolled to my feet, unharmed.
