I really loved triss in 2, but she is butchered in 3 man i hate it, voice actress performed worse, her romance is shite and the clothes...either terrible hair with good outfit or good hair with terrible outfit. Feel like your pushed to yennefer. Edit: Bias towards triss her arc was so bad i pretty much had to to choose yennefer, i dont particularily like her either.

Yeah I much prefer the Triss VA from the first game, the one in 2 and 3 is too quiet.
So to get this thread kinda sorta back on track, only hire the Triss VA in W2 & 3 to do kids voices.
Children running around in the ingame worlds probably wouldn't be bad thing either really.

While everyone has their preference, I am not a fan of Yen thus I am on the Triss train. Maybe if I read the books I may feel diffrently but alas I did not, so I go with whom is better.

 

Triss was with Mr. G, since the first game and is less of a b!tch and high maintence, Triss seemed the better choice - IMO.

I doubt they did, listening to the little girl in an earlier video it didn't sound like a child voice actor. Reference: Cats and Wolves quest

I was listening to Gretka earlier and wasn't sure - something off about her - but some of the ambient children are bad. Luckily it's not that big of a deal as the real cast I think does a great job.

Since I'm on a DAO kick i thought that Orenn Cousland sounded exactly like a child - turned out the VA was maybe 10 years old at the time.

Of course Witcher has many children around as it should - better than games where the children are all mysteriously missing from the world.

Children? Isn't the only kid in the game Morrigan's son? His voice acting was....interesting. I don't think it matched his maturity though. He looked like he would be around 10-11, but sounded like a 6-7 year old.

I am not sure if TW3 employes actual children, but I found the kids to be okay. Johnny's voice acting was flipping amazing. The blacksmiths kids you talk to about the missing wife were really good, as was the boy who Geralt pep talks. There is also an instance where you talk with a band of orphan children and I found them to be good, too. Sounded like children to me.

He is a regular voice actor for childrens shows (i know he's at least on a few shows on the Sprout t.v. channel. I personally don't like his voice though.

Did DA2 even have any children? I think one during a side quest. Lol.

I believe he is Claudia Black's son. So, he is literally Morrigan's son.

The Witcher children don't really bother me - I find most children in real life annoying too lol. So the "get away from me" I feel every time I pass a girl who wants to be a lad is very real. Too real.

That is Geralt's version of admiration. He always enjoy Yen plays the role of scolding mother role while he enjoying to be the chunky father. They are really exciting couple in the books as for Triss...

She is errand gal/ Phillipa's puppy for the lodge hence betrayed Geralt puts Ciri, Yenna in grave danger. Geralt would never forgive that, hence it might caused their broke up as soon as Geralt recovered his memory.

Oh in case it's strange I'm stil in this thread, I haven't been able to actually uninstall Witcher. Something keeps me going back. I can't wait for the next patch as it will fix some of the issues that annoyed me.

I played through a main quest with Keira and enjoyed it a lot. I saw some people on the CD boards call that one boring, but I really liked it. During a certain part when I blew myself up in the cave after touching something I shouldn't have and she was like "do you really have to touch everything?" Cracked me up.

Also this is going to sound really dumb, but I found a barber shop and that has improved my enjoyment way more than it should.

Oxenfurt was also pretty awesome and isn't even the main city to explore.

Geralt is searching for Ciri after an attack separated Yennifer, Geralt and Ciri. Ciri took a random portal and no one can trace her. The Lodge, which Triss is part of only a handful of members, actively stalls Geralts search for Ciri so they can get to her and manipulate her first. The Lodge intends to turn Ciri, who is about 15 at the time, into a princes ****** and mistress to get her pregnant because there is a prophecy about her child. Triss willingly goes along with both preventing Geralt from searching and the plan to turn her self proclaimed 'sister' into a ******.

 

 

There are more examples of Triss being a worse person from the books but in a nut shell most book fans pick Yennifer, most game only fans seem to be picking Triss. 

 

Edit: Seems bioware censored me for using a term that I didn't think was a swear. In any event the word censored was another word for hooker.

One thing I really wish Bioware would do is bring back the killing animations from Origins. I really love the killing animations in TW3, Geralt just seemed more deadly. I loved them in DAO too, especially the warrior ones.

@London-- I don't think it's weird you're still here. You played the game and you played DAI, you have every right to be here. Besides, you're polite and you're willing to listen to feedback on both games without being obnoxious. I hope you enjoy TW3 the more you play it.

I remember when a friend bought me Mass Effect and I didn't like it. I shelved it for about four months before picking it up again. Restarted, tried again and now it's one of my favorite games. Sometimes it pays off to try again.

It gave the impression that the writers didn't like Yenn for whatever reason, and decided to replace her with Triss as the preferred LI (even though it doesn't make sense in regards to the books) with Shani as an alternative.

I didn't like Triss' character when I

Handed the child over to Shanni first, because I didn't trust Triss with the Lodge after act 2. Reading some of the notes it was as if Triss only wanted to control Alvin because he was a child of Elder Blood and not the 'potential danger' around him. I felt rather protective of him as he was a small child that seemed to have bad things follow him wherever he went. I didn't want him to become another pawn for her, or her lodge.

 

Now that I read that spoiler, I'm so glad I'm one of the few "Game only" witcher people who isn't steadfast in love with her.
