You dare?

Geralt is a villain for want of happiness for ciri?
Ciri would be better believing yenn is a traitor to her?

You.. Are dishonorable..
Unforgivable.

The best part has not even come yet. :P

"
“So be it,” Philippa Eilhart waved her hand. “Sit, both of you. But know that I am against it. But the unity of the Lodge and its interests are most important. The Lodge is everything, the rest is nothing. I hope you understand, Ciri?”
“Perfectly,” Ciri said, not looking away from her gaze. “Especially since I am supposed to be the nothing.”
The beautiful queen of the elves, Francesca Findabair laughed.
“Congratulations, Yennefer,” she said in her hypnotically deep and melodious voice. “I noticed you left your mark. This is gold. I recognise the school.”
“It’s easy to recognise,” Yennefer looked around with fiery eyes, “because it is the school of Tissaia de Vries.”

...

Lady Owl said covering the smile on the corner of her lips. “Cirilla Eilhart also sounds nice.”
“That name,” the hall rang with the silvery voice of the elven queen, “is pretty in any combination. And each of us here would love to have a daughter like you, Zireael, Swallow with the eyes of a hawk. You are the body and the blood of Lara Dorren. Each of us would give everything, even this Lodge and the fate of the kingdoms around the world, to have such a daughter. However, it is impossible. We know that it is impossible. So we envy Yennefer.”
“Thank you, Lady Philippa,” Ciri said after a few moments, squeezing the head of the sphinxes in her hands. “I also feel honoured with the proposal to take the surname de Tancarville. However, it seems to me that my new last name is the only thing that I can choose for myself, I thank the two mistresses. But I want to be called Cirilla of Vengerberg, daughter of Yennefer.

That should settle it. Great game #TeamTriss, unfortunately we are just not in the same league. :P

Haha Oh, fighting words. Fighting words!

I would think that it's natural for Ciri to think of Yen as her mother. She sees Triss as a sister.

How odd is that? Your father's mistress is your sister. Weird stuff. :P

It gets weirder, Geralt thinks of Vesemir as his dad and Triss thinks of him as her granda.

To date, I reserve all my acrimony for EA, and very little for Bioware. I do fault EA's business model though, because it's predatory. The item packs are overpriced for their value and flagrantly cut from previously released content. The MP is a RMT laden hellhole.

CDPR is also a big company, and frankly, as with EA, I trust them as far as I can throw them. From what I can see, the stuff that has been released for TW3 is small. A couple of outfits, a couple of items, and a couple of missions. This is stuff that, for all they claim, was probably unfinished game content. But! Simply by releasing this small beans content for free, they've positioned themselves as scrappy little champions of the everyday player. EA has egg on their face. Bioware look like a bunch of chumps. Pretty decent ROI, in that sense.

Bioware has this crap lying around too. They could release some of it bit by bit for free (because that's the price that a release like Spoils of the Avvar merits), you'd still be able to choose whether you wanted it or not, and they'd garner a lot of goodwill. As it is, you're pointing out all the post-game content they've released, but the only ones that make them look good at all are JoH and Black Emporium.

Thing is, even if it was unfinished content, tw3 is FAR larger and far more in depth then DAI. And the missions tend to be real missions, with narratives and options. I've only played one of the dlc missions so far but it was a ton of fun... And it was free, in one of the biggest games I've seen in a long time.

Even if they had released nothing for free, I'd be blown away by the size and detail of their world. I can't say the same for DAI. Given the choice between a fully narrated quest and collecting bear claws in the hinterlands for +2 power, the choice is clear.

Free is just cool of them to do.

Given the choice, prefer to gain Experience and Influence over Power. Also prefer to compare somewhat fairly, but that would defeat the purpose of this example....

They are working on two expansion packs (add 30 hr gameplay/ almost a TW2), multiple patches, added fan request contents (Triss and Yenna!). I tip my hat to you, CDPR, you guys are legendary!

Almost forget the 16 DLCs...

Credit should also be given to CDP the publisher and parent company that owns CDPR. There is an article on Forbes pointing out that a game like TW3 can only be produced when the Publisher (CDP) gives the developer (CDPR) the freedom to create a game that they really want to make instead of meddling in the creative process.

I agree with that article. I believe that if CDP only cares about money and dont give a damn about the games they make, they will force CDPR to add pathetic features and unrealistic timeline and budget just to milk players and maximize profit - TW3 will turn out to be a disaster.

CDP is more like a mother company to CDPR rather than a employor/publisher, especially consideringTW2 almost bankrupt it.  More importantly they never pretend to be the conventional "big cooperation" like Activision or EA, which only care about financial reports and how to get money out of their fan base ASAP.

I would also give credit to CDPR for their honesty, even in this interview (which supposed to be rehearsed 1000 times by PR representatives in current "US gaming industrial standard") the lead actually acknowledged the console versions are rushed, the "downgrade" on release is to catch up with publishing schedule, fans are not happy about lack of Triss etc. Then CDPR tackles these issues head on, instead of PR companion with excesses like "artistic integrity", "save importer" to give the finger to part of your customers.

Results never lied:

4 years for Bioware = DAI

4 years for CDPR = Witcher 3

Final morale of story

Bioware, Listen to your loyal fans, respect them and communicate with them honestly. They are not your enemy, their support is what makes this company it is today.

Yup, like every body could follow up a professional spy operation from several fully burned notes.

Geralt could. The Witcher 3 has it's fair share of less meaningful quests (and some with rewards tied to your level. Hatori...)

I have however being enjoying the cinematic dialogue instead of DA:I's style.

You don't follow up on it per se but it is a foreshadowing of a certain foulmouthed  individual/educator of rock trolls you may encounter later on.

Yup, illustrating a war-torn country newly occupied by invasion force and hint to remaining Temerian force's underground resistance is really less meaningful to setup up the tone of the game.

not all the quests are ones reacting to the invasion.
