Am a 'fanboy', as Bioware has merited my allegiance with high quality products for almost two decades. But am hardly bored, as I have a current DAI and DAA campaign, a set of full class saves for ME3, and try and keep NWN1 up to date for PW visits. And then there is Skyrim, and SkyWind and XCOM: Long War when the mods are finally completed.

But then, assumption is common to many....

How the hell do you do that when you're always here preaching about how TW is bohoo and DA is yay yay?

You are so much here that I actually doubted once that you even played DAI and was just someone hired by EA or one of the devs.

You said you have 1 zillion hours in DAI but where do you get time to play? YOU'RE ALWAYS HERE!

I asked why the Inquisiton's soldiers or the Inquisition's ambassador couldn't help in securing the food, so I'm not sure how this goes against what the hunter said. The inquisitor is the only person on the planet capable of stopping the infinite number of demons spewing into Thedas, s/he has better things to do than personally hunt for food.

And one assumes that Josephine and the other Inq troops are not involved when the Inquisitor discovers the need to help.

Considering that this quest is likely one of the first ones encountered in the game, it is easily completed simply by looking for the nearby rifts. Now I did not have to use many resources to gather the food, but could see how this might be problematic for those needing to resupply potions and other consumables in their bother to feed others under their care.

Someone wanna fill me in on what exactly Elhanan's deal is? I've been trying to lurk on this thread but I'm honestly confused as to what their personal reason for hating the Witcher is. As far as I can tell it seems to be something along the lines of "Witcher sux because I'm offended by bewbs/violence/harsh language". Either that or "Witcher sux because I can't be ____ (i.e. All games must have custom protagainists or they suck). "

he's basically getting his panties in twist everytime someone criticizes DAI or praises TW3. Has never played the game (TW3) as well, yet still hangs around to defend bioware's honour if needed, ready to retort any sort of injustice or insult towards any gameplay mechanic of DAI that is being challenged.

apart from that, he's disatisfied with the inclusion of bewbs, swearing, cinematic approach (meaning he wants no cutscenes and just two wooden mannequins talking to each other ala DAI or Skyrim) and the inability to pause the game (which is a legit complain because he apparently has some sort of disability) or picking your own character (Bio games are not about fixed protagonists, so I guess this is legit as well)

also, during arguments he usually ends every post with a terrible attempt at a snarky one-liner, which is so comedically unfunny or random that it sometimes borders on anticomedy. but maybe I just have a different sense of humour and simply don't get it. No offense to him in that case. :P
Although I had blocked him so not sure if he still keeps doing that. But I suppose he does. :)

There is still over a dozen Inquisition troops sitting at the camp and doing nothing, 3-4 of them could handle that ****. I'm not sure about you, but in between accepting and completing that quest, I had left the Hinterlands and gone back to Haven then on to Orlais, then back to Haven before finally back to the Crossroads. Thats a few weeks of travelling at the least, surely would have given Josephine enough time to order something from Tesco Direct, or for the villagers to starve to death.

I have played DAI a few times now; have no idea what is meant by a reference otherwise. As for TW3, it sounds like a grand Action game; not my thing, and do not wish the DA series to follow suit.

As for disliking 'bewbs', the Ignore list certainly has room to include another big red one....

Now in my game, only Scout Harding and her troops went in advance of my own, so there appeared to little time for much aid other than what was already gathered when we arrived. Corporal Vale is the one that informed the Inquisitor of the need this last session, though one could encounter the Hunter directly; scant time difference, though Vale sends the Inq to the hunter for specifics.

Now if one did go to Haven and Orlais, it appears to be good that the refugees were cared for enough before your untimely return; still only require ten racks of meat for the larder.

It's best to ignore him. He craves attention and speaks nonsense. (Gets snarky with people by saying they don't pay attention, then calls the population in TW3 static.)

Let's not help him get this thread closed. It's a good thread and he isn't worth it.

Again, comprehension is apparently lacking; spawned NPC's simulates a static population. See here for specifics (hope this is correct vid):

My two cents...

I've played TW3 for about two weeks now and just can't get into it... I do like it, I'm just not as into it as I was with DAI (or DAO/DA2) and honestly struggle to pick it up at times. When I do pick it up I do a few quests but if I was hoping to be playing to wind down a bit after eight hours at work, I find myself wanting to go back to DAI cause I enjoy playing it much more and find it much more enjoyable.

Maybe the game is suffering from all the hype it got before I got my hands on it but meh... might just be a personal thing too.

People were saying it was better than Skyrim and that did set the bar pretty high for me.

Sure there are things that are better when TW3 and DAI are being compared, like the side quests, but it goes both ways (for me at least).

While the devs could pick a few hints or cues here and there but I do hope they don't try to make future titles more like TW3 just because the general consensus seems to be that it's a "better game".

For now I've decided to put TW3 down in favor of replaying DAI (for a while) cause today after playing a mere hour and struggling to get into it I'd rather take ten fetch quests than try forcing it on myself.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but meh.. just how I feel atm.

So he hates the Witcher for things that DAI totally has, but forgives DAI because he can somehow ignore those things. Even though he's never played The Witcher and thus has no idea whether he can ignore those things too (spoiler: you mostly can, the only thing you can't avoid is a scene in a bathouse that's MQ).

that's.... bizarre.

I usually play at night. Or sitting in the office pretending to be busy while playing Gwent :-)

Not quite; also dislike the ESRB content used in DAI, but it can be easily avoided by benching offending characters, and avoiding the romances if desired. TW3 seems to have a more common approach, so while one may *escape* cut-scenes and other content, it seems to take more of an effort; even Gwent includes it in the mini-game. Then it still does not have Pause; remains more of an Action title as the only option.

Bizarre is why so many follow my postings so frequently, yet still lack the ability to comprehend and look for context before joining the ones that assume what was posted.

Probably because you post so much. And change (*ahem* refine) your reasoning from post to post.

I am getting into Gwent this time round, I think it would make a good mobile game if they ever decided to do it.

At least then one may actually read what was written as opposed to buying the Grapevine version. Besides, fans seem to want feedback....

I like the feline gear because it is light armor and I use signs a lot, and it looks very cool with Geralt showing his biceps lol

the ursine gear does look the coolest, I especially like how his hair looks like with that armor, though if I'm not mistaken that armor is heavy right? :(

Yeah ursine is heavy armor but I don't notice a lot of difference from light armor tbh and I like to mix and match anyways. My current look for Geralt is ursine chest (I also love his hair with this armor) and pants, wolf gauntlets and feline boots. It both looks and works great on Death march! ^_^

Post the exact same thing, (you don't like this putrid, rancid, rabid, objectionable mess that is TW3)  30 times a day, every day, for months and months now. Yet somehow find it bizarre people 'follow' your posts. Do you think you are writing in a private diary?

Last night I was remembering a couple of posters who remarked on how the facial expression is lacking in TW3. I have to say, I wonder if we played the same game.
