Again, comprehension is apparently lacking; spawned NPC's simulates a static population. See here for specifics (hope this is correct vid):

http://www.gamespot....e/2300-6424853/

You mean like every enemy in DA:I and how they spawn all around you? Is that better than "spawned" NPCs?

Nailed it on the second attempt. If at first you don't succeed....

OT: Hoping that DA4 will continue to give race options.

It will. But it won't be DA4. It will be an MMO. DA:I was the prototype for it.

For awhile i laughed at that, but i am not so sure anymore. First of all most of the lore has been established and some new plot points have opened up that could fit an MMO story. They have moved David Gaider and Kirby off the project. The gameplay and quests had that MMO feel to it, same did the zones you were in. It wouldn't surprise me if EA wanted to have another MMO. To bad they are forcing it on Bioware.

Missing the point again: both games use mechanics to simulate reality. Nothing wrong with either of them, but the posted vid is to better explain that TW3 also does not have a static world; nor did I say it was.

They are milking the franchise. They have done this kind of stuff before. Buy a franchise with a huge following. Dish out some new games in the series as fast as they can. Dumb it down to reach a wider audience. Toss in microtransactions and whatnot. inish it off with a game that requires you to pay money to keep playing. Ditch the franchise. Start on the next one.

Mark my words. ME4 will be much the same too. More focus on playing online. More action. Less rpg.

Once Bioware's huge franchises have been milked dry, that's it. EA will close up shop and Bioware is dead. They have done this with almost every company\developer they have bought in the past.

I still believe that the guy responsible for the Golden Halla quest should be sacked.

Haha, agreed! It's funny because TW3 has a similar quest, although I think it's more similar to herding back the druffalo.

Well if they do it will save me some money because I won't buy it. Their decisions with DAI, the nickel and diming people, the trying to force people to play MP in order to get stuff for SP have all contributed to me cancelling my pre-order of ME4 as it is and that will be the first Bioware game I haven't pre-ordered just as DAI is tge first one I haven't bought dlc for because their dlc is a rip off in my opinion.

They forced people to play the MP in ME3 too. You needed to play it because of the Galactic Readiness in the SP game. Some months later, after they could call the MP a massive success, they patched the game and released some DLC that made it possible to get enough GR via single player.

I love that part of the quest and how he talks to the goat and tells it that it has all the qualities that would make a good Roach... LOL

I know, right? And then they say Geralt is boring and has no personality. It was mostly his personality that made that quest fun and not feel like a chore. Unlike herding back the Halla and Druffy, which were just annoying and pointless.

I was actually surprised by the amount of humor in the game. The previous games had some too, but this one took it a great deal further. The lighthouse scene was brilliant.

Think I stopped playing ME3 by then, I never even looked at the MP on that because I don't tend to like MP.

I don't get that remark about him either.

@Rawgrim

I agree. Lots if humor. I really loved the play. The bad acting and all. The ambient banter is good too.

While I simply brought the Druffalo back to the farmer, others used it to help fight demons at the nearby rift, so not that pointless. And while the Halla quest was relatively easy the second time, the first attempt was more like herding cats. Both yielded rewards of sorts, and seemed to help others. Of course, this thought often escapes the notice of some....

I actually liked the MP. But only when it didn't affect the SP. The SP should never be influenced by anything from the outside. Plain and simple.

I was probably lucky with the people I played with too. Nobody got abusive or went on some screaming fit through their headset. I ran into a lot of that stuff when I played Gears3 online, I can tell you that much.

The Druffalo was immortal, actually. To make sure the player couldn't fail the quest. So basically the game lets you god-mode if you bring the druffalo over to the rift.

shows a lot of emotion there. I don't understand how people miss the emotion in the game and Geralt, he certainly has more emotion than the inquisitor does in DAI and his decisions affect the world more.

The most emotional scene in my opinion, and this shouldn't be considered spoiler, is the scene with Dudu. If you've seen it you know what i'm talking about.

Look at what happened to Origin....Origin used to be the Bioware of the 80s\90s. Now it is the name of EA's much loved DRM.

It doesn't escape anyone's notice. It's still seen as a boring quest by most because closing that rift doesn't add any interest to the quest whatsoever. It's an exploit. You can just as easily skip the rift and go back to it when you're a higher level without that boring bag of meat.

Riight, am I suppose to believe that someone actually thought "Oh, I'm going to do this quest because the druffalo will help me fight these demons that I killed a hundred times before."  Either way, it's still boring.

That's something else I disliked with DAI you couldn't actually fail a quest, if the Druffalo was immortal what were you supposed to be saving it from? Why bother?

I agree, but i think its easier to do when its the 3rd game doing the same character, if that makes any sense. Mass Effect 3 also had some powerful scenes because Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer was so attached to the character at that point, they just made the script their own. You can actually hear them tear up while reading certain lines, i think that is awesome. I agree that Geralt shows way more emotion then Inky. I cried several times during TW3, not ashamed to admit that.
