Do you know what made me seriously happy in TW3, I'm like 100 hours in now, i just arrived at Kaer Morhan (I've been obsessively doing contarcts and undiscovered locations, for the sake of sanity the undiscovered locations have to be turned off next playthrough to save me 60+ hours of wandering) and it's exactly the same as I remember. The area around is beautiful, it's graphically upgraded of course, but it's the same keep.
I smiled as I walked through the interior, it was a feeling of nostalgia that I was craving in DAI and never got. The attention to detail is great and it'll all meant to remind you of a place you were long ago.
Meanwhile DAI drops redcliff in the hinterlands instead of letting us revisit it, they remove healing spells, they change the economy so an elfroot that costs 3 copper now costs a gold soverign to buy, the qunari think differenly... all the little details of the world we remember were paid basically no attention. They don't respect the games that came before, decisions sure, but not the world. DAI, part of the dragon age series, a bioware game from THE dev whose known for awesome moments of nostalgia, totally failed to provide it.
300+hrs for a single DAI pt??? Ooooook.
Big trolly mountain.
Dude likes scenery and mining for rocks.
