I'm still in Novigrad on my first play through. Don't know when I'll ever finish this game and be able to start a new one.
I'm on the same boat at 118 hrs There's just so many interesting things to do!
And that's the way it should be done! I kind of rushed it on my first playthrough and missed a LOT of encounters and small quests because I always used fast travel. On my second playthrough I'm only using Roach and not only am I discovering new things, I'm also enjoying the scenery a lot more.
(Plus I've learned that if you hold the sprint key, Roach will follow the road on its own. Super useful! I always clicked both "shift" and "w" for some reason so it took me a while to discover this. lol)

Dont fight them on the boat. Just stop the boat and dive into the water. Those silly Sirens will dive in one by one and you can one shot them with the crossbow.
I get a big stressed out underwater, don't ask me why. I never had any traumatizing experience or anything but I panic when there are more than 2 drowners or sirens coming my way underwater. lol

Hey, don't judge me.
I barely used Roach on my first playthrough.

Do you know what made me seriously happy in TW3, I'm like 100 hours in now, i just arrived at Kaer Morhan (I've been obsessively doing contarcts and undiscovered locations, for the sake of sanity the undiscovered locations have to be turned off next playthrough to save me 60+ hours of wandering) and it's exactly the same as I remember. The area around is beautiful, it's graphically upgraded of course, but it's the same keep.
I smiled as I walked through the interior, it was a feeling of nostalgia that I was craving in DAI and never got. The attention to detail is great and it'll all meant to remind you of a place you were long ago.
Meanwhile DAI drops redcliff in the hinterlands instead of letting us revisit it, they remove healing spells, they change the economy so an elfroot that costs 3 copper now costs a gold soverign to buy, the qunari think differenly... all the little details of the world we remember were paid basically no attention. They don't respect the games that came before, decisions sure, but not the world. DAI, part of the dragon age series, a bioware game from THE dev whose known for awesome moments of nostalgia, totally failed to provide it.
Dude likes scenery and mining for rocks.
Nostalgia is met quickly in DAI, as Leliana, Cassandra, and Varric are encountered in Haven; a location of prominence in the DA 'verse. Later, Morrigan, Flemeth, and Hawke are met again, as well as a chat with Ferelden royalty depending on the choices made in the World State from The Keep; avoids skipping or having imported saves omit such data.
As for harvesting, seems to matter little what game is chosen; both have a search and mini-map. One has immersive animations, and the other has a fishbowl perspective.

Does the use of dynamic weather have an effect on the gameplay or is it just cosmetic or atmospheric in Witcher 3?
The only effect I notice is during sailing. Storm makes steering harder. Windless makes the boat slower - or it sure feels slower.

Seriously what about the glitched Codex Entries that you cant unlock or the Inquistion Banner Crown still not working this is BS B-Ware you need to fix these issues because a actual Completionist PT is not possible.
How about some new Hair Options oh right TW3 did that to but not you oh no you just gave bad options and you dont want fix it which sucks.

DAI has multiple races, both male and female models, and two voices per gender.

Okay, you really made me laugh here ^^One has immersive animations
I'm on PC and I'm oh so very thankful that a kind hearted person created a mod to remove those painfully irritating "immersive" animations.

Lol It's pretty funny to be honest.
I killed him on our last meeting because I thought he was gonna give up too, then I reloaded the save and used axii on him.

Understandable; folks used mods in Skyrim to gain them.

One of the worst decisions I've seen in game design ever.
I was almost going crazy because of that loot animation thank the heavens for the mod.

Snarkiness aside, you have a point and that is that players like different things. Some like the animations, adding immersion for them, others hate them because they find them tedious and irritating. What I would love is options. Put a toggle in menus to allow both players to chose if they'd rather have things like that or not.Understandable; folks used mods in Skyrim to gain them.

All Witcher 3 free DLC is held back cut content - myth busted.
And how is the myth busted? You are assuming that NG+ was not already developed.

It is indeed no proof, however it does add to the belief that the DLCs were not all planned. NG+ was a heavily requested mode by the community and having it as the last DLC is a big coincidence, especially considering witcher 1 and 2 didn't have it. But again, no one has "proof" that all the DLCs were pre planned or not.And how is the myth busted? You are assuming that NG+ was not already developed.
Honestly, in my opinion, the argument is moot, the game gets to appear on news each week and players get free content. Win-win.

It's official. NG+ is the last free dlc. Though not coming out this week

Might be just me but I am not that excited about NG+... tis nice and all but I wish...
They would give me a "Post Ending DLC" Where I can visit Vizima and the VIP treatment Roche promised me. Have Yen/Triss around somewhere so I can talk to them. Dandelion making a new ballad of how he saved me from certain death in the battle against Eredin and all the post world changes based on the epilogue.
But that would simply be too much work even for CDPR I suppose

300+hrs for a single DAI pt??? Ooooook.
Big trolly mountain.
Actually it is possible. Farming schematics/fade touch for instance can be extremely time consuming. I sometimes fall asleep while farming and wake up dunno how many hours later to save my game. That adds to hours played
- I personally clocked 167 hours in a complete pt.
Farming and hording materials is a real time sink in DAI. Luckily we have the immersive animation of picking metal with our finger tips to help add 10+ hours to our game.

Too bad we dont have such in TW3, the only major time sink we have is this boring thing

I don't see why it even matters if those free dlc were made in conjunction with the game or not. Who cares? They're free. Those dlc are pretty good, they could have easily cut them from the game, bundled a few together and sold them for about $4-5.00 a piece, like some other companies do. As someone said, they get some publicity and we get freebies. Win-win. People need to build a bridge and mosey on over it.

No farming included; simply harvest and accept what appears.
