But that's the problem: Griffin armour is an abomination against the senses. It's pot belly terror or the trash armour that you start with, because the appearance is locked to a particular mat and the mat is level locked. I think any crafting system that ties apperance to level is horrible, especially when they use the aesthetic style of TW3, where much of the armour is, again, an actual crime against eyes.
The different sets of Witcher armor is made for people with different taste. See there are those who find the Griffin armor pretty. Many claims that the 1st Feline armor and the Bear armor looks awesome... I simply keep quiet ![]()
As long as they dont make them pink/green/purple and oh yeah shine like modern metallic paint which enhances the ugliness of the colors I dislike - I usually wont make a big deal out of armor/weapon design.

I'm having a bit of doubt that we may be misunderstanding each other so I'll mention it in that case; the "one swing, three pieces" that I mention and that started the initial discussion did not originate from animation but from Luqer's comment;
"Really hope the gore that was present in previous DA games make its return. It'd welcome the removal or toning down of overly flashy attack animations and abilities if it means being able to actually see a guy get cut into three pieces with just one swing"
I'm still a bit around and about so my apology if I'm the one misunderstanding you.
Just to clarify, the cutting a guy into three pieces thing is a quote from Iron Bull. Type in "Iron Bull Quotes" in Google Images and its the first thing you'll see.

I think In Exile meant trash as in, the stats and protection it offers. At least I hope that's what was meant because that armor is gorgeous, I always wear it for as long as I can. I wish we could upgrade it like the rest of the witcher gear.
Still don't get what's trashy about the appearance of that one. Certainly a hell of a lot better than the dragon armor where it looks exactly the same for every tier and every class ( i think)or the trash armour that you start with, because the appearance is locked to a particular mat and the mat is level locked.

Damn why was this removed, it's really adorable ^^
I too hope it gets added back via a mod or in a possible enhanced edition. I just find it weird since the scene was all animated and voice acted. Strange.
Those content is done but probably not polished into the releasing standard when the TW3 ships. Since CDPR has awesome EE tradition,It is more likely CDPR start to sneak various pieces of EE through several patches, just like what them did for NG+ since patch 1.03.

Yep, I really like the look of the first version of the feline armor but don't really like the upgraded versions. And I think all versions of the wolf armor are gorgeous. I don't really understand this logic of "appearance being level locked" thing because it's rather subjective. What I find good-looking, others may not. I don't like the griffin armor because I think Geralt looks bloated in it and I hate the color, but many people might like it and even prefer it to the other armors.

Ah, my pardon. I was unaware of the reference.

Also, pleased to note that I can run it on mostly high and ultra settings with my rig, which is unexpected. It looks pretty excellent.

Hey, so how big is White Orchard against the rest of the game? Am I going to die playing this? Jesus.

White Orchard is basically the Eden Prime of TW3.

I've done like, three quests, and I'm level 2. After about 5 hours of play. I'm going to die playing this game.
I'm sorry to say that gwent is going to get annoying, probably. I'm not a fan of CCGs in real life, and it's sort of perplexing that something like this would be more ubiquitous than something like dice poker in this world.

You dont really have to play Gwent if you dont like it or when you dont feel like it. You can always choose the more direct way of solving things - your sword.

I'm not. I'm just walking everywhere. Also, playing on the second hardest difficulty, and getting my ass handed to me by bears and deserters. Coming right off of TW2, I've also accidentally punched a few guards who I just wanted to talk to.
I'm a little annoyed at the potion change - my swallow only lasts for 20 seconds now, which is irritating. I'm glad they're adding NG+. Seems to me that most games benefit from it, but this one would more than anything. I was a friggin' tank at the end of TW2.
It's apparently as big as I was hoping it would be though - that alone makes me very, very happy.

Yeah, combat can be challenging when you do not know the patterns of the enemies.
Just remember to use dodge/sidestep instead of roll. Roll generally should only be used when you need to get out of combat or close in on archers. Pay attention to enemy attack patterns and learn to exploit their weakness.

Personally I find the mastercrafted wolven armor in TW3 to be very beautiful. I would like the Griffin armor as well if it wasn't for the pot belly

Let me preface this by saying: I love Inquisition, I think it's a fantastic game, and it remains my personal GOTY for 2014.
That said, where I am consistently most astounded in the differences between Inquisition and Witcher 3 is not the gameplay, or graphics, or combat, or characters, or anything like that. The biggest difference is in listening to fan feedback, costumer service if you will, and DLC.
It goes without saying that we are currently rolling into our 16th bit of free DLC for Witcher 3. That's awesome in and of itself, but what really makes it stand out is the DLC is a NG+ mode, something fans have been asking for since launch. On top of that, before this DLC was announced, CDPR devs came out and addressed fan concerns. They acknowledged that fans wanted a NG+ mode, and said that maybe they'd try and make one. Simple, right? It's this that makes Witcher 3 stand out in comparison to Inquisition in particular. Before launch, there were a handful of relatively minor issues that fans had concerns about. And a few more that came to light after the game released. The lack of hair options, the scant customization, race-locked armors, etc. These weren't huge, deal-breaking things, but they were fan concerns and fans were curious what, if anything, would be done about them.
And what was Bioware's response?
Radio silence.
Not yes, not no, not maybe. Just... nothing. Followed by them charging money for new armors and appearance packs
It's just kinda funny really. The difference in how much the developers actually care about what their fans want is so huge it's hilarious.

I said the same thing on my first playthrough and I even said no to that first guy you can play with, but on my second playthrough I'm always looking for new merchants to play gwent. If I could, I would make Geralt go around villages, "Who wants to play gwent? Gwent, anyone?" haha
(small spoiler about a certain sidequest)

That there are some *edited* people hardly qualifies as an excuse to have next to no interaction with your player base.

When that group of "some" * Edited * people is primarily consolidated in one place (the BSN), I can't say I blame them. They're active enough on twitter.
They should probably get another CM for this place though.

My favorite is the wolven armor as well. Actually I dont think any armor is ugly - even if its design is subjectively ugly. Simply because the texture and the details on the armors are just awesome.
