What's the next TW3 dlc called? Do they have trailer already?
Hearts of Stone. No trailer yet, but I think it's been confirmed as 20 hours long. Comes out in October.
Also Shani confirmed.

Goodness.. 20 hrs long. Almost as long as Awakening.
Oops, no, I messed up, Heart of Stone is 10 hours and Blood and Wine is 20.

Most, yeah. But ME came out only a few months after TW, and its scenes really were very good, neither especially uncanny or weird - arguably the best implemented in nearly any game that contained such content, and certainly the head and shoulders above any Bioware games until DAI.
TW2's scenes seem like they were good too (insofar as the characters in question weren't putting on more clothing than they'd normally wear for them), although the only actual romance scene I encountered in my sole playthrough was the Rose of Remembrance scene. Still preferable to other games treatment, and just a different, more revealing side of the coin to ME's good approach
Haven't come across any of it in TW3 yet (I don't necessarily count the opening sequence, though that was cute), but then I'm still mostly running around Velen and doing early quests there and marveling at how the windy trees and shaky shadows aren't melting my machine.
I get some people like the sex scenes in videogames but to me alot of them look weird or just uncanny. I find them more "WTF is this" than anything. Personal perference is just the cards or fade to black. Also maybe I am wrong about this but didn't ME1 have a much bigger budget than Witcher 1. I think that would have alot to do with rather or not a developer can acutally do cinematic sex scenes as oppposed to something like the cards.

Probably. It wouldn't surprise me if TW1 didn't even have any room for animation in their budget, honestly.

I wonder if Marcin has played DAI and came to the pc feedback section for his problems and saw the poor support and communication and said to himself " this is what we are NOT gonna do"

I'm still only halfway through the excellent Witcher 3 with all the traveling and work keeping me away from it. And yet I see the free DLC quest is likely to be more in-depth than the majority of in-game Inquisition quests. I'm not at all surprised.

Am guessing they have not received their same volume of hate mail yet; newer company and all that. For better contact with Bioware Devs, it would seem to be on Twitter and other social media, based on the Twitter thread.

Well, they've been around for a while and 3 games after, so I wonder why.

I do this for Bioware, too; a factor why I score DAI lower than DAO. But in DAI, I am able to better control the game; not as feasible in TW3. And as many recommend, if one does not like it, play something else. Done.
But I also take the rightful opportunity to help insure that Bioware titles do not continue this trend. Since this thread is about TW3 features that are suggested to be helpful to the DA series, this ain't it, IMO.
Features you refuse to try. Talking about control in a game you've never controlled.
Seriously dude, you spend all day every day here insulting TW3, but you have no experience with it... how old are you? I'm seriously asking because if you're still trolling this thread with opinions you know are based on speculation and assumption, and you're over 18, you have got to find something else to do with your time.
No offense, just, damn dude. This is a thread about the witcher 3 and how dai could learn from it, and you have never played it.

I think at least 20 or 30 pages of this thread involve people advising everyone to ignore Elhanon. Comes up every 10'or 15 pages if guess.
Well, for me he kinda evolved into the thread mascot. He's on ignore but sometimes i need comedy and " view it anyway"

I think that the thread probably exhausted any new insights RE what DA could learn from TW about 250 pages ago. Now it's just people talking about the game and restating earlier points, punctuated by occasional ridiculous digressions and people yelling at Elhanan when he posts something irrelevant.

I have to agree. They tend to make me laugh more than anything. If they're not in for humor or really brief I really don't see the point because it's always hints my lulz button and kills the moment because I end up laughing my ass off.

This is a hobby of mine, to come back to this thread and readch new things or posts about peoples experiences even if it's the same as what another person posted. :/ It's sort of my thing because nolife at the moment.

The posters in the OT forum make me nervous.

Smaller company? Only a guess.
If I recall correctly, the TW1 forums were hosted by Bioware, as CDPR used the engine from NWN1; uncertain when they formed their own.

Fifteen years and/or eight games from now, I'd be very surprised if CDPR doesn't have a huge number of detractors either. That's just what gamers on the internet do.
I thought people in OT are mostly nonchalant and chilled and they never had blow-ups like this thread had recently
My ignore list is mostly populated from my brief and infrequent incursions there. Some of those people are nuts.

Just watched the new DAI DLC trailer and I was uninterested, along with a bit of laughter from the Inquisitor running animation (seriously? please EAware hire someone else ASAP)
Doesn't look story driven, just another dungeon with a bunch of enemies for you to kill.
I find it funny how EAware seems to hate grey wardens now. It's like they want to spit on anything that was in DAO.
Now we have the Inquisitor taking care of the deep roads and he's the new slayer of darkspawn. Great.

Oh please the Grey Wardens were always a morally dubious and incompetent organization. Even in DAO. You had to have your head in the ground not to realize that.

It's a 2 min trailer and they're not gonna show anything spoiler-ish
And how are they spitting on anything DAO when anyone can kill darkspawn?

And maybe we'll have a warden with us, anyway.
It's entirely possible that some people are viewing the trailer with the express intention of not seeing anything worthwhile, there. So obviously, they're not gonna like it. It's just fanboy tribalism.
