Same thing happened with Skyrim, and it was supported. Mods will still need to be altered until all the patching and DLC is complete.

Did Skyrim have that ? My bad then, I played Skyrim after most patches so didn't live it.

Though I still hold to my original point, I'd love for Bioware to support the modding community next time.

True, but again, I wish they would support it and not release patches that made modders go crazy because they would render the mods unusable.

Plus the mods out now are very limited and require you to use a programme to override files etc, though I'm still so thankful for all those amazing modders that worked so hard.

Every patch WoW mods have to go through a new update, heck, after the patch gets applied there's a reminder message that says that you may have to update your mods. And I think WoW supports mods. It's a slightly different type, as it's game enhancement for various things (there's a mod that highlights the best skills to use as the combat progresses), but the base concept is the same.

As I understand it, Bioware only officially supported mods during NWN and some DAO, as both had the toolsets released. But unofficially, people have been modding the hell of of the games since BG.

If this whole thing for Fallout 4 works, maybe Bioware will follow suit. They know they've got a large modding community, and if the Fallout model seems to work and can be adapted for BW, who knows.

I can't see that happening unless Bioware's skill with Frostbite gets significantly better. Bethesda's been using the same trash engine since Morrowind and CDPR uses their own engine, both of them handles mods rather and well and are supported. DICE intentionally made Frostbite difficult for modders, so unless they update the engine to make it a little bit more friendly to mods/modders I can't see Bioware supporting mods in the near future.

WoW is modable nowadays? I didn't know that. When did this happen? I did not see any of this after 6 years of raiding. Only just quit 2 or 3 yrs ago.

I think the mods they may be referring might be more commonly known as addons in the World of Warcraft community. I believe those are mods but that they are not thought of as such by many because of what they do.

Not sure who I want to rule Skellige in this playthrough, Bran's wife seems to make the best argument.

I doubt it will ever happen again. EA wants complete control over post-launch content and it would be bad for business to have users releasing free content that is equal to or better than the stuff they release. Battlefield no longer has mod support either.

Just beat TW3...

The good - I managed to get the best ending (IMO) without having to look at any guides.

The bad - Now I feel empty

The ugly - Yen's personality

Seriously though, the feels. Can't wait for the expansions.

Funny because this part is what Kevin Vanord in gamespot talked a lot. He said there's no box for you to see the outcome of this decision. It's sort of just there and you might not even come across that body at all but it's there. 10/10

I didn't even see it my first run. That is how vast the sea is. On my second run, I was just exploring around the islands and seen what I thought was an alter. Soon found out it wasn't. That is one of the amazing things about this game, every detail counts. Every single one. People can say what they wish to say about CDPR, but this game was a labor of love and it shows in the smallest of places.

Random question for anyone with decent (or better) knowledge of Witcher lore...

Are the Aen Seidhe and Aen Elle related at all? As in, were they originally one race that split in two, or are they two different races with different origins and only share the name elf?

The wiki doesn't establish any kind of connection (that I could see) between 'em, but I wasn't sure if the wiki was missing information.

Oh wow, that's pretty amazing. Reminds me of the tomb for Leo from Witcher 1.

Do you remember where did you find her ?

They are related, Avall'ach refers to them as cousins, they used to be called the Aen Undod before they split, Aen Elle are taller by 2 feet or so.

There is also a different branch of humanity that was defeated and enslaved on their world.

I went and found her for you. Travel to Rannvaig and travel west by boat from there. You'll eventually pass through some tiny islands and there is a Hidden Treasure on one of the islands, she is just south of that. You'll be able to spot it-- looks like an alter of some sort. If you've reached the first broken bridge leading to Eldberg Lighthouse, you've gone too far. Hope that helps, I blow at directions.

I've always referred to them as mods, friend of mine as well, but yeah also addons. Still same concept, needing to adapt to new code when a patch comes down.

What BioWare should take from Witcher 3:

* Side-quests that are actually interesting and not "go fetch"
* Combat that's fun, and not beating at an Ogre for 5 minutes while you sip your tea, waiting for it to die.

So fun to be able to go to the DA:I board and catch up on TW3. Love the game! Doing my second play through and trying to cover everything - got the bad ending and cant have that!

When this play through is done I will get back to DA:I and do a playthrough with the two new DLCs.

By the time I am finished, I hope the new big TW3  dlcs will be ready.

I am in RPG heaven. Will be busy til xmas I am sure!

The bad ending is my favourite, it was just such a powerful scene, probably the best one in the game.  :D
