Does anybody know if I need the mastercrafted "non-NG+" version of the item to upgrade it to the basic legendary one or if I can create it from the scratch?
I just wish there was a way to get that ending without being a terrible dad. It may be disgustingly seppuku-inducing levels of miserable, completely bitter without the sweet, but it's still a good ending in its way.

I don't think the bad ending comes as being a bad dad, just not treating her like an oversized child.

It also means that Nilfgaard has to win. So never happening for me.
Roderick would risk killing a hundred humans just to kill a few witches.

But that doesn't even make sense...
Nilfgaard has occupied CDPR's offices and is now forcing them to produce propaganda confirmed.
Oh and...

Eh...the options that lead to that ending really make it seem like Geralt doesn't care about or understand Ciri at all. Like drinking your sorrows away with her rather than the snowball fight...that's not Ciri. Having a laugh together with the snowball fight is going to cheer her up, that isn't. And not being with her for her friend's funeral? What kind of father wouldn't be there for emotional support? Making her feel like just another contract by taking Emhyr's money right in front of her? Second guessing her at every opportunity rather tham letting her grow as her own person? Nah. Just seeing some of those options makes me cringe.
Oh my feels....

Geralt's dad just died, I think he is entitled to have a drink without Ciri gurning.
Have to take on interdimensional time traveling elves soon, maybe not the best time to go to find a corpse.
Witcher never does anything for free. Ciri would have learned that at KM.

My guess is that you'll need the prior tier version as the base with which to create the upgrade.
I guess we'll get confirmation soon enough.
What I did when I prepared for my NG+ is to get all the chest pieces to Mastercrafted, and then upgrade just one type of armor of swords (for me it was Wolven, can be any one you prefer).
It doesn't take too much time and it leaves you carefree when you enter NG+.
Ciri was suffering even more than he was. A good dad would focus on that.
If blinky wasn't such a brat she would maybe come to the conclusion that her dad's dad had just died, maybe I should stop acting like such a little ****.
Can't blame her, the world revolves around her. It's why I despise the character.
I can't wait until they add the extra scenes with Triss. I just had a PT where I romanced Yenn and there was a lot of intimate moments. Would be nice to share those with Triss.
Also, I may be wrong about extra content--I think I remember reading something about how they're going to tweak dialog and some other stuff, but I think it will be more interaction--for instance when she is on the ship and you try to talk to her and she's all like, "Well?", they'll probably add some conversation. Not sure what they'll do, but I am excited to find out.
Yeah i'm very excited for the additions, holding off on my next playthrough till then. There's been a recent purported data mining of what might be the new additions, which i thought sounded very good.

Wow thanks. Interesting read, I wonder how and when will it be delivered.
The lady of time and space
ugh. That title alone is enough reason to hate the character. ![]()
Gonna head off to Skellige tonight. So far,
1. I hate Radovid,
2. Not as much as I hate Gwent, though, and
3. I'm still excessively entertained by looking out the awesome windows in all the houses.
I was doing "Get Junior," in the casino. I exhausted my dialogue options to start a rumble, lost a couple of gwent games, and then just went downstairs and started swinging.
Apparently the NG+ patch is right around the corner, and I'm wondering if I should sort of do the main storyline, and meander through the NG+. Right now, BloodnBroken Bones has gotten pretty easy, but Death March is still a little too tough. If I'm understanding things, I think that each difficulty is supposed to get a slight boost, right?
I'm also curious about all this added romance stuff. Is the Triss stuff supposedly being added post-Novigrad? Because then I can hopefully wait till its in before continuing on.
Ciri knows Geralt and Yenna too well.http://forums.cdproj...ilers)/page1042

From what I read, it seems the added dialogue is indeed after her Novigrad arc.

That's awesome to hear. I just hope it's forthcoming soon... I'm mostly finished with the Novigrad stuff, I think.
I assume there's a bit of a lull in her stuff (and I guess I'm gonna meet up with Yennefer in Skellige), but I'd really like to continue on with it as soon as I can.
Also - to open a can of worms, I'm certain...
The presentation, execution, and attention to fine detail of this game is goddamn near flawless. It's the best designed open world RPG I've ever played. The fact that it's so good makes the absence of some details all the more glaring. So... Where the dwarf and halfling women at?
That should be a prime "How To Don't" from Bioware's ham-handed handling of this stuff in Mass Effect (obviously it was also an issue in DA2, but there were lots of important things sacrificed at the altar of cost control in DA2). So why are there tons of dwarves running around Novigrad and other areas, but not a single woman? It's dumb in Bioware's games, it's dumb here, too. Is there some hackneyed lore justification to explain it?

I tried Gwent once, lost for some reason I didn't quite understand, and decided that understanding it was not why I got this game. I've ignored Gwent ever since. I hope it plays no major part in the story missions.
NG+ is out today for Xbox One, and should be out today or tomorrow for everyone else. I don't need it yet. I'm still looking for a certain girl who seems determined to stay one step ahead of me.
Added Triss romance? Yennefer will not like it one bit. She

My eyes glazed over right from the tutorial. Just the thought of actually having to play it is infuriating to me. I wish they'd stuck with dice poker, or just actual poker.
Folks in thread were saying there's one game with some rather high stakes that doesn't end well if you lose or refrain, but that's pretty much it. I hope that's the case too, for my part.

I think this thread has some pretty interesting views: http://forums.cdproj...Fault-SPOILERS
I'm still reading the books so I'm just starting to see of how f***** up Emhyr really is, but there is no way in hell I'll ever bring Ciri to that man in any of my playthroughs.
