My very first "mod". ;)

As much as I love all the work people put into creating mods with the Modkit (have almost 20 by now) I can't stop thinking about all the awesome stuff that would be possible with a Redkit. New quests, areas, npcs, completely new game mechanics. I hope CDP reconsiders releasing the Redkit. So much potential....

Jesus christ I'm just watching some cut scenes from the latest DAI DLC and isn't this thing looking like crap?

My god, couldn't be more obvious that the real talents left this company a long time ago. Things keep getting worse and worse

Well it was made by Bioware Austin, the studio that did Swtor. I haven't played it yet, but from what i've read it seems very interesting. :)

I know the first game had some sort of adventure editor, but did any modders produce any quality content like this with the redkit for TW2? Seems like at least the nexus pickings are pretty basic, on the level of the stuff released for TW3 so far.

It's very good, but a lot of its goodness hinges upon whether you like DAI's gameplay (which I do). If so, I'd say it's absolutely worth it, though if it wasn't a day one purchase already, I'd probably wait for a bit of a sale.

But it's not at all apparent that the "real talent" left ages ago, no.

That's every army. No matter how high the ideals of the leaders, there are always going to be soldiers that have no problem pillaging and raping.

The north though haa a higher tendency to not only pillage/defile women and children, their own even mind you, but they also aspire to greater holiness through purging non humans and killing witches in the most brutal of ways.

The north is full of barbarians and uncivilized currs! If you want your town to be pillaged, have it pillaged by proper soldiers!

The animation is the worst I've seen in recent games. It's unbelievable that something like this was released.

I do too, the only thing i don't like about the combat in DA:I is the hp scaling on difficulty levels. Then again if you are good at setting up the behaviours and tactics, plus using crossclass combos the combat has a very good flow. I'll buy it when i get the time to play DA:I again, like a new playthrough.

I haven't played them but, CDPR did bundle some user-created quests with The Witcher 1, they even made a short story themselves. The Witcher 2 redkit was doomed from the start, mostly linear world and was released two years after the game came out. There was suppose to be a huge quest mod released, like Skyrim's Falskaar, but it was abandoned.

Am I trippin' or did this whole forum just disappear from the front page? I reloaded, got an error, and now I can only access it through my post history.

They're moving things about, apparently getting rid of the off-topic section all together.

That doesn't seem fair.

It's not, the off-topic people are livid, and with good reason imo.

What I liked so much was being able to talk about Witcher or Bethesda games with Bioware fans. Real shame :(

The Skyrim thread is what attracted me to try it, and losing that thread is a huge loss of intel and advise (eg; mods, Tech fixes, etc). Kinda sad.

OT: I know I am generally disliked here, but I do advise keeping something DA related in this thread more often, or risk it being closed for good, FWIW.

Same, and with the off-topic you had everything in one forum. Didn't really need to go anywhere else.

Well, I hope they exercise a bit of latitude in that case, because if they close it, they can't very well say "take it to OT."

Even if most people mostly want to talk about Bioware games (Bioware forum, duh), sometimes they won't, and you get threads like this, which (mostly) thrive. I hope it stays.

Either they want to foster an active community or they don't,

Just randomly coming by to iterate just how much The Witcher 3 raised the bar for side-quests in games - and especially in filling an open world with them. You don't see it happen often that you start a light-hearted quest by helping your buddy with his new bar, and suddenly ending up in a murder mistery.

Best villain in the game actually.

So typical of the new Bioware, treat fans like crap. It's total BS because the other forums do have ot sections for fans to discuss other games even cdpr have an ot forum.

The way Bioware have been treating fans since the release of DAI pretty much guarantees I won't be wasting anymore money on their mmo style games especially as they are talking about both multiplayer and co-op getting shoehorned into future games so they can nickle & dime players dry! It's a shame they have become so anti-fan because I always loved their games and supported them from the start by buying evey game they made and all the expansions, but no more the poor quality of DAI and the crap way they are treating the people who have supported them have ended it for me now.

Well played. Conceded.

But the essence of my comment is that it could still be worse.
