After awhile Death Match feels like normal...

As long as you're wearing good armor. I remember getting the Temarian armor set because I looked pretty bitchin' for a...witchin (im doing my best guys) and I got my ass beat as a lvl 24 by like, lvl 16 Drowners.

Towards the end feels like Easy to be honest

Wow, 6 million copies !

Very, very impressive. I just read that Witcher 1 and 2, combined, sold 8 million. Witcher 3 has almost reached that point alone. What a breakthrough for CDPR. Hopefully the company will evolve in the right direction.

I would not be surprised if TW 3 eventually sold over 10 million copies.

GJ CDPR, and it also shows the market of a great fantasy RPG.

My guess would be about 8 million sales by now There will be a push once the first expansion releases so 10+ millions till the end of the year sounds realistic.

New details regarding Hearts of Stone to come in early September;

Good. I'm really looking forward to them. In a way, it'll be the first paid DLC/Expansion from CDPR so I'm curious to see how they'll compare to Bioware's.

My harsh criticism of CDPR so far is that the PS4 version apparently has terrible frame issues during combat, a very important thing to have solid frames for.

This has been persistent since launch. Not sure how DAI's PS4 version holds up but I'm hoping they get around to it as they have not made a statement in regards to patching the performance of the game itself on it.

Otherwise it's damn good game.

Holy freaking crap. They're gonna continue to allow things like the Drinkquisition, which is full of people that openly mock those who are critical of Dragon Age. Wow...just freaking wow. They couldn't more openly say that they are attacking those critical of the game unless they actually said the words.

Okay, I saw the part about allowing threads that compare DA to other games, such as this one, but even so, I can't help but wonder how long it is gonna take before we see them go the same way.

All they want on their forum are a bunch of fanboys, like the troll in this thread, who will praise them no matter how bad the games get and no matter how much they have to headcanon to get even close to a decent story. It's obvious that Bioware cannot take constructive criticism, and don't care if fans are trying to help make the games better by making suggestions.

The only reason they can't stand fans talking about other games is they are terrified fans are realising games like DAI are an empty shell with endless fetch quests and button mashing instead of the rich rpg experience they should be with the majority of side quests having stories. Also the npcs suck, it wasn't really acceptable even back when DAO was released to have cardboard cutout npcs but everyone accepted it because the story was good you could overlook it, having the cardboard cutout npcs in DAI is just awful and immersion breaking and adds to the emptiness of the game. Heck I just finished playing "Everybody's gone to the Rapture" and even that doesn't feel as empty and lonely as DAI did! At least in that I had music, and messages from phones and radios, in DAI I had nothing, most of the time I didn't even get banter thanks to the banter bug which Bioware still haven't fixed!

I post on a couple of game developers forums and none of them mind ot conversations or their games getting compared with other company's games, they all have ot sections and people discussing other games etc.. so not sure where Conal Pierce checked but claiming no one else allows an ot section etc is BS! They should also be careful what they wish for, given the lack of substance in DAI I don't think they really want to many people focusing on it! Perhaps instead of continuing to alienate their fans Bioware should focus on fixing their games and sorting out bugs that have been there since release of the game!

Edit: Oh and I don't care if they ban me for expressing my disappointment at being charged £60 for a game marketed as an rpg when it's 85-90% fetch quests like an mmo, heck the quests in Elder Scrolls Online have more substance and npc interaction than DAI does. I am one of the many long term fans they have lost, I certainly won't buy another Bioware game until it's discounted if then. Despite liking the ME series I won't be buying ME4 and even cancelled the pre-order due to how they are treating people and given they are shoehorning both multiplayer and co-op into ME4 I am glad I maxe that decision. Let then keep chasing the Call of Duty crowd, I hope they attract them because from what I am reading here and elsewhere they are losing a lot of rpg fans even those who have been Bioware fans from the start like me.

I just got around to reading my GameInformer last night and it had an interview with Marcin Iwinski, CDPR's CEO and he was asked,

Spoiler

He also had a couple of great answers about Corporate control and DLC, if anyone wants me to post those, let me know, but yeah. I think that says a lot about how they view fans. More companies need to have that view.

Would love to read it too if you don't mind. Seems from that bit you posted that Bioware can learn more than quest design from cdpr too. ;) Thank you for sharing. :)

do it!!

Oh, and were they talking about the rebalanced add on that changes everything in TW1? Because while the game became quicker paced, getting two shotted by a monster when there were maybe 3-5 of them is very hard to counter when it's a point and click game

Otherwise it's damn good game.

I have it on ps4 and i find combat is pretty damn smooth, in fatc the only place i find i hit delays is the inventory screen. It's not a big deal.

No issues at all with combat, even against large groups.

I'm not the only one with these issues, but I'm glad there are people without them.

Thank you for sharing, yep Bioware and maybe a few other companies can learn a lot from CDPR, it makes all the difference to fans when devs treat them with respect.

I found him completely by accident

Saw a blue name appearing for a second when I walked next to him.

Though I couldn't target him and had to try out different camera angles for a few minutes to finally see his name

An interesting place for the leader of a religious organization and boss of Novigrad, ;)

Okay!

GI: All of the Witcher 3 DLC is free. Why is that Important to you as a company?

MI: I think first it's important to distinguish between what we consider DLC and what we consider an expansion. For a good two or three years we were saying that small bits, a sword here, or maybe a small quest there, should be done as a post release thank you. That's what we call DLC. Whereas, expansions are meaningful AAA content experience where we spend months developing. That's what we would appreciate gamers paying for. So, this is the distinction.
When people go and buy a full-priced game, it's a big investment. So, at this point in time, we're forming a certain relationship. As we have proven, starting with the Witcher 1, we are not a hit-and-run company. Some people have this strategy, "Let's milk the franchise and let's get out of it, or let's kill it and we'll worry about it later." We don't. This is our baby. This is a super important world we have created and spent the last ten years working on, so we should be right every single moment, every single time.

Man, if I had a nickel for every time when some dumb-ass doesn't differentiate between a full fledged expansion (or datadisk, as they're called in my country) and a tiny DLC, I would be a freaking millionaire, especially on this forum. I should save that response solely for those moments.

Thank you for reposting it! You're class act, lady. ^_^

His holiness is just allowing the poor to witness a glimpse of the Eternal fire's majesty.

He is supposed to be fat though, his fat ass blocked Radovid's view of the victory parade after Brenna, a crime for which he will pay.

Honestly, the definition of expansion and DLC is not set in stone and greatly fluctuates from one place to another.

From what we've seen (and granted, it's really not much  :P ), the first expansion, Hearts of Stone, doesn't sound too much of an expansion to me. It seems you are still in the same area of Velen and Oxenfurt maybe (probably) with added areas. I personally would refer this more to a large DLC, like Shadow Broker or Citadel.

Now Blood and Wine really takes you to a whole new area so it might be fairer to call this an expansion. Yet, I'd personally not call Jaws of Hakkon or The Descent an expansion even though they offer totally new areas. I think the best way to differentiate DLC from Expansion is length (though that's still very arbitrary and personal)

But we still know very little so I might be completely wrong.
